Is there a way to retain formatting (colored text) when copying text?

I am able to copy underlining and bolded text but in the new site I can not copy colored text from notepad programs or sites.

Is there a way to do this?

Once you copy the text here, you can color it. Just highlight what you want colored, go to font color in the reply box here, choose a color, then click anywhere in the post to change the color..

It all comes down to coding.

If the coding between the location you are copying from is compatible with the coding this site recognizes the bolding, font , and color will be retained. If the recognized coding is different then it will not be retained.

I currently use Libre Office and it does not retain the color formats. Do you possibly know what program or file format that would allow it to properly transfer? Also thank you.
