Freezing Chat Rooms

As a Canadian I am used to the cold, however, the recent freezing I am experiencing in the chat rooms is somewhat annoying. I have only been on CC for a few weeks. In recent days I have found that a chat room will 'freeze' on my periodically (actually quite often) - meaning that everything stops, no more sound and no more activity. Sometimes bouncing myself to another room and back will fix the issue until it happens again. Are others experiencing this of late?

Another issue that has just started happening (maybe it is related) is that if I switch to another prog/app on my phone (eg. to look up something in chrome), when I return to the christianchat app it has logged me off (and I have to log back in). This never happened until just recently and now occurs all the time.

The best ongoing in-depth conversations take place in the forums and not the chat rooms. It is in the forums that provide the opportunity to get to know the members through their post history and forum decorum. I used to go to the chat rooms when I first joined but found the conversation flow erratic and often trivial.
