Hello,

I have been in the computer (and electronics) industry, off and on, for over forty years. If you don't mind, I am really curious about the hardware that runs the site.

Do you have just one server that is connected to the internet that is connected through its own IP address. If so, what kind of computer is it?

Or, do you have the site on a web hosting service?

Does it cost much to host a site this big?

Do you do all the site maintenance yourself, or at least, "in house" with volunteers, or do you pay for a site maintenance service?

What all is needed in the way of site maintenance each month? Is the site owner (robo-op?) able to keep up with all the site administrivia (excluding thread moderation) each month, or is it shared with others?

I can imagine that it could be an overwhelming job each month, but perhaps I am over imagining the responsibilities. Maybe it's not that overwhelming.

I am not asking any specifics about how much you pay. I am just curious how the site is structured.

I am interested in all you care to share.
