Since you didn't give any details, i'm assuming you mean in the Chats and not forums (and since i can see what you're typing here =P )
This seems to be a common problem coming up lately. Unfortunately i've seen people post suggestions, but i've yet to see anyone post a consist solution that works.
All i can say is, make sure you're logged in. When you first open CC it defaults to the Chat, but you're a guest. So log in, then enter the chats. If you are for sure already logged in, then, umm... no idea.

And you're sure you are logged in? You type in your name and password, then hit the blue 'chat now' button and still no one can see you type?

Perhaps. Trying updating your flash. I know some older versions were causing conflicts with CC.

Some troubleshooting tips:

1. Update your Flash (just concurring).
2. Don't burn your turkey burger like I just did
3. Flush your DNS cache (you can do this from a command prompt, but the easiest method is to use Ccleaner and check DNS cache).
4. Make sure your keyboard is plugged in/has batteries (that aren't dead), and that your keyboard has keys. I've near pulled my hair out, troubleshooting the same issue you have, only to discover I had none! Alphanumeric input is a must.
5. Don't use Windows. Especially Windows 8.

HAHA -- Best tip in the list... :D  Same as the #1 tip in the 'general computing' list... :p

( with the remotely possible exception of #2 ?? ) ;)

Since none have responded in here so far, try contacting a moderator through CCmail. If you scroll to the top of the screen under 'Quick Links' is a list of 'Site Leaders' and ways to contact them.

I'm convinced that this is not a browser-related issue. Everyone I've come across that has this problem has tried said suggestions with no success. Perhaps it has more to do with a Windows update bug.

I'm not just having problems with others seeing me type in the main chat but also in the Private messanges boxes someone Pm's me and I say something like Hi and on the other end they see nothing coming from me i have had this problem before and i have tryed down grading my Adobe Flash player but it won't go any lower then 11.6 I don't know what to do anymore and only the mods can see what i type to them..... I am so annoyed with this please tell me what to do or maybe i need to get a hold of the site owner by CC e-mail and tell him what has been happeneing this has been going on for the past 2 weeks or so :[

It's not a bad idea to bring it up to Robo. He's the big cheese on CC. But don't worry - he's a good kind of cheese. :) Not that overrated, imported pungent stuff.

my Adobe Flash player... won't go any lower then 11.6
Yes, it will. You'll need to go to Adobe's archive page, download one manually, and install it. I hope that helps!
