This never happened before, but when I tried to open the CC site a few minutes ago, my browser (google chrome) wouldn't let me proceed.

My browser displayed the following message:

Well this was concerning, but I talked with Onlinebuddy about it and he said he discovered it was doing the same thing to him on some other sites, even BBC, so I have to conclude that the problem is on his end.

Gideon007,
The warning message (above) does not allow me to enter cc unless I click on a the link "proceed anyway"

Once I click on the "proceed anyway" link, the cc site opens up.

As RobOps mentioned above, I have been facing the same problem when I try to open BBC - Homepage.
Facebook, twitter, Yahoo and Gmail works fine.

I started this thread because I first experienced the problem when I tried to open CC. The warning message says that CC uses labs.bible.org. Since this is a Christian site and is associated with the bible, I was wondering if CC had anything to do with the problem. However, RoboOp has ruled this out.

I am scanning my laptop for any issues at the moment.

Re: Malware on CC??? Resolved!

Hey Guys,
I just discovered that the malware problem occurs only in Google Chrome. Everything works fine in Internet Explorer.

At the moment I have logged in to Christianchat.com using Internet Explorer, and it works just fine.

Hence, I conclude that there is NO PROBLEM WITH christianchat.com.

Sorry to bother you RoboOp, and everyone else!

I am scanning my laptop for issues, and will keep you guys posted.

Re: Malware on CC??? RESOLVED!

RoboOp,

The problem has been RESOLVED !!!
I guess it had something to do with scripts. I uninstalled and reinstalled Google Chrome, and everything is working fine.

Sorry and Thanks.

No problem onlinebuddy, thank you; I actually want to be alerted of any issue like this so we can check to make sure it's not anything on our end.

Try installing the W.O.T. add on for Chrome. I have it for Firefox (I know Chrome has it as well - so does Opera) and it's a nice screening tool; especially when doing searches/surfing the web.

There are other extensions that help safeguard security and privacy, and that help against malware, but this just sounds like a silly misnomer in Chrome.

Oh Opera, if only you had a couple of minor changes; I would convert over to you in a heartbeat. <3

Thanks Siberian, I have installed the add on. Unfortunately, it does not give CC a very good rating. I don't know why.

Really?? That's interesting. Which browser did you tack it onto? I'm using it for Firefox, and CC is in the green.

Chrome. The WOT rating is green alright, but the user rating is very low. I have just given CC a good rating:)

Oh, I see what you mean. Yes, the reputation/amount of votes is low. Thanks for contributing to the rating. ;)
