The Browser that I use is TORCH, which is CHROME with less features, so that it uses less memory. After my last update, I discovered that videos such as those on YouTube will no longer upload. It only pastes the address to the video. The upload method that I have use for a very long time is: Click on the film strip Icon and then in that popup paste the video clip URL on the appropriate line and click OK. I see the bracketed word video ahead of it and the bracketed /video, but NO video shows up when I upload the post.

So the update of my browser must have changed something in my settings, but what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the video show up if you click on "Go Advanced" or "Preview Post"? I ask because only one editor on the site here will show you a preview immediately, while the others will show you the link with BB code.

No, the advanced mode does not show the video. Here is the video that I tested it on, and I will test it again before I upload it.

Flash Player was updated the same day as the Torch Browser.

Found the problem: The link you provided is not the correct URL for embedding a video into a post here on CC. Instead of clicking on "share," you need the full web address of the video (found at the top, where you would normally type "www.youtube.com").

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmJnLIWs0vE&feature=youtu.be - this is the full URL you need to post your video. When I use the "insert video" button and use that link, voila!

[video=youtube;jmJnLIWs0vE]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmJnLIWs0vE&feature=youtu.be[/video]

Hopefully this helps. Let me know if I didn't make something very clear; I understand this stuff can be confusing.

Apparently you just used the address on the on the Address Bar. I have used for a couple years address in the pop-up when you right click on the video while playing and click Get video URL, so this time I will try just using the address from the address bar.

Yep, that seems to work, so the browser update eliminated the Get video URL capability.

I'm inclined to think it's not the browser update, as I use different browsers and they all encounter the same idiosyncrasy. Still, glad you are able to post your videos now. :)
