It is Biblical to believe that not only Jesus is the son of God but that he is the God of the Universe. He is called God in the Bible. He is with God in the beggining in First John. And the Word (Jesus) was God in the beggining.

IF JESUS IS GOD , THEN CAN YOU TELL ME WHO IS IN HEAVEN SITTING ON THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD?
PS110:1 IF JESUS IS GOD, THEN JOHN 1:1. SHOULD READ THIS WAY.
IN THE BEGINNING WAS GOD AND GOD WAS WITH GOD THE SAME WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD.
( BILLY WAS WITH BILLY AND BILLY IS BILLY ) THIS IS CONFUSION.

Yes. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God.

PS110:1 IF JESUS IS GOD, THEN JOHN 1:1. SHOULD READ THIS WAY.
IN THE BEGINNING WAS GOD AND GOD WAS WITH GOD THE SAME WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD.
Wrong. What is should say is what it does say.

( BILLY WAS WITH BILLY AND BILLY IS BILLY ) THIS IS CONFUSION.
Wrong. It makes perfect sense.

My opinion....
This is not where i started to believe Jesus is God but did find info that He is.........
please read these verses. I have gotten this information from http://bugman123.com/Bible/JesusIsGod.html

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”
Revelation 1:17-18; Revelation 2:8 - (Jesus is the First and the Last)

Isaiah 44:6 - (God is the Redeemer)
2 Peter 1:1 (Jesus is the Redeemer) - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ”

Isaiah 44:24 - (God created the world by His self alone)
John 1:3; Colossians 1:16 - (Jesus made all things)

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,

John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM He, you will die in your sins.”

John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

Acts 20:28 - (God purchased us with His own blood)
Revelation 1:5,6; Revelation 5:8-9 - (Jesus' blood purchased us)

Philippians 2:5-7 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men.

1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Hebrews 1:8,9 - But to the Son He (God) says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.”

Hebrews 2:17,18 - “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.”
Hebrews 4:15,16 - “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
1 Peter 2:24 - “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed.”

He went from sovereignty to shame and from deity to death? Why!? For you.

Bible verses that show Jesus is Divine
by Matt Slick

Following are verses used to show that Jesus is God in flesh. The scriptures used here are from the New American Standard Bible.

John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John 1:14 - "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

John 5:18 - "For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."

John 8:24 - "I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins."
Note: In the Greek, "He" is not there.

John 8:58 - "Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.'"

Exodus 3:14 - "And God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM'; and He said, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’"

John 10:30-33 - "I and the Father are one." 31 The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33 The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."

John 20:28 - "Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

Col. 2:9 - "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form."

Phil. 2:5-8 - "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Heb. 1:8 - "But of the Son He says, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom."

Quoted from Psalm 45:6, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Thy kingdom."

GBU friend and i am not trying to be mean but my own opinion, you do not have to believe me if you do not want to

If you're trying to show someone, like a Muslim, how others saw Jesus's divinity, all you really have to do is point them to John 20:28. You can't say anything against it...except that its been "corrupted"

Hi Zack

I can image if I saw someone that was suppose to be dead but still alive I would say.

Oh God my lord.

An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth" (Mt 12:40)

Jesus pbuh said he was like Jonah. Jonah was thought to be and should have been dead when he was in the belly of the whale for three days but by the miracle of God he was still alive. Jesus was thought to be dead but by the miracle of God was still alive.

At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
"Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."

John 20:14-15

His appearance was of a gardener. I know if I am to work on the garden I wear my worst clothes and after a while I get pretty grubby. Mary did not recognise Jesus pbuh because he was disguised. He did not want anyone to recognize him. He was in hiding.

Dear PBUH, Saint Peter writes: 2 Peter 3:14-18 ONT "Wherefore beloved, looking for these things, earnestly endeavor to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless; and be deeming that the long-suffering of the Lord is salvation, even as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom which was given to him, wrote to you, as also in his epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the unlearned and unstable twist, as they do also the rest of Scriptures, to their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, since ye know these things beforehand, be on your guard lest, having been led astray by the error of the lawless, ye should fall from your own steadfastness; but keep on increasing in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."

Trying to misquote the Gospel that Christ did not die but only appeared to die is a great lie and a twisting of the Scriptures to destruction, such thing that blessed St. Peter warned against in the 3rd chapter of his second epistle. Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ shall come again. That is the Gospel. All else is Anti-Christ, is a lie of satan, and contradicts the holy Word of God in the NT Bible. In Erie PA Scott H.

Dear PBUH. Christ did die on the cross. "And Jesus let out a loud cry, and gave up the spirit." Mark 15:37 Orthodox New Testament, page 181. He did rise from the dead three days later. "And he saith to them, "Cease being amazed. Ye are seeking Jesus the Nazarene Who hath been crucified. he was raised. He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him." Mark 16:6 Orthodox New Testament; page 183. God bless you. In Pennsylvania, Scott Harrington

Many Christians quote Isaiah 9:6 not only in their efforts to show the divinity of Jesus but also that he is part of a triune godhead. Let us examine , whether Isaiah 9:6 is a prophecy for Jesus or Hezekiah

“..the government shall be upon his shoulder…”

Jesus was never a king on Earth, however Hezekiah was in fact twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years.

“…his name shall be called…Mighty God”

Jesus was never called “Mighty God” while Hezekiah in facts means “Tetragrammaton Mighty God”
Now many Christians may claim that this is not conclusive proof to associate the prophecy of Isaiah with Hezekiah. Fine, I will agree. But if you still believe this prophecy shows Jesus to be a God, then the onus is on you to show me :

If Jesus was never a king on earth, then how is it that the Magi asked, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?" (Matt. 2:2)? His earthly kingship was by birthright not by popular vote; He was indeed king of Israel even if the majority did not recognize as such. You need to spend more time reading the Bible and less time with anti-Christian commentaries if you are going to make challenges. Otherwise, you simply come off sounding foolish because you did not thoroughly research the matter. By the way, the above verse is not the only indication that Jesus was king while on earth.

Dear Zossima, AMEN. According to Revelation, Christ is "King of kings, and LORD of lords." And as He was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, to save us from our sins (1 John 2:2), He was called by His proper Title, "This is the King of the Jews." In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington

PBUH,

Hi Zack

I can image if I saw someone that was suppose to be dead but still alive I would say.

Oh God my lord.
You do realize that would be taking God's name in vain, correct?
You do realize that molten gold was poured down an Israelites throat if they said this, right?
