I told my daughter how I felt about Christmas plans with her family, and not getting to see my grandkids much.
she has completely shut me out.
no apology works, nothing.

Sorry to hear that, Jazzmynn, and welcome to CC...

I can relate to some degree: my daughter has completely shut me out of her life. I have seen her only four times in the last decade. As much as I would like to connect with her, I have chosen to respect her request for no contact. It stinks, and no amount of distraction or getting on with life truly removes the ache. However, I can choose to dwell on the situation or I can choose to enjoy the rest of life which is really good.

Pray for her. Let God work in her heart. Trust Him to sort things out. He's been in the reconciliation business for a very long time. :)

I don't know what you do except pray. My daughter did not even tell me about my fourth grandchild. I found out from my son. I don't know where they live now as they were evicted from their former home. "A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’" Matthew 10:36. My son is fine, we get on well. I upset my daughter years ago. I helped the family financially. I bought them a second hand car and got it repaired when needed. None of that seems to count. It's OK by me, they have their own lives to live. My daughter suffers as unforgiveness is corrosive to health and other relationships. I would gladly be reconciled, but that takes two.

So sorry to hear this! I hope one day you will be together again.

We (my wife and I) believe that we will. My daughter has some level of Christian belief, but her husband is an idol as are her children. He is a hostile unbeliever. We hope and pray that she will be released from the spell and return to Jesus, this time confessing Him as Lord.

That's okay. You know your daughter is alright with her kids somewhere. When she's ready, she will contact you.
