Don't give up hope Blain, pray for unity of God people and our growing up to a perfect and mature man!!

There is to much heresy being taught by defferent churches so there will never be unity unless some are willing to compromise.

I for one will never compromise the truth for heresy.
Jesus never compromised, and never will I.
I guess I will not be part of the unity you want.

Can you elaborate on this please? some Christians I know think that there is only truth without grace and then the other Christians believe in grace without truth. Is that another division?

Anyway what do you think?

P.S. I somehow messed up on the quote thingy so I italicized it. sorry if that's confusing.[/QUOT

The most importand issue is salvation,( Eternal life in heaven with Jesus)a
Some teach that you must do certain works to obtain and keep salvation.
Some teach you must be baptised to obtain salvation.
Some teach you must be a member of their church to obtain salvation.
The truth is John 3:16, and once you obtain salvation, you can not lose it. God will not take back what He freely gives,

I will not compromise the truth as I have stated them, just to have unity and fellowship with those who teach heresy (lies and untrues)
John and Paul both preach that you must remain in Christ to obtain salvation. Salvation is only secure in Christ.

1 John 2
Let Truth Abide in You

24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.
26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will[e] abide in Him.
The Children of God

28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when[f] He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. 29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

So we need to make sure we are following Christ's doctrine and only Christ's doctrine. This is why I try to biblically show the contrast in false doctrines compared to genuine doctrine, because I care and do not want anyone to be lost, not on my watch, not if they can be persuaded back to the truth.
Jesus is Lord, Its His Word, He is the Word, He is Wisdom,He is Truth. Keep to His Doctrine and you never go astray.I agree with you bro. Unfortunately sometimes Minsiters forget the concregation is God's people/children not theirs.

I think maybe what the church needs is some good ol' persecution so they can do more than just sit around being divided about issues that in the long run, when your being hunted for your faith in Christ, wont mean jack at the end of the day.
It'll probably come to that...

1Cor 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
This is easier said than done when there are so many extra biblical rules made up by prideful people.

the Osas the law music that is evil the rapture these are some of the main subjects that cause disunity and chaos in the church. I have benn pondering about this, frankly i hate the disunity i dont like how the church divides and goes against each other but i remember How jesus said he did not come to unite but to bring a sword or at least i think thats what he said. but I also remember how he said a house divided against itself cannot stand. But is this disunity necessary? is it to seperate the wheat from the chaff? Or is it simply the enemies tactic to bring down the church?

i also understan the one world government the one world religion that is rearing its ugly head calls for unity. i wonder who will succeed in unity first the one world agenda or Gods church?
Something that was on my mind in the men ministry room tonight, King solomon describes to us something that is note worthy in his Ecclesiastes 1:9

If we go to the last book in the Bible Revelation, we have a clear explanation on what is occuring today. The seven churches in asia are a prime example of how things will be before our Lord Jesus Christ returns. The one thing those churches had in common was Jesus as there Lord.

Now we Jump two thousand years forward, we arrived to this generation of belivers in Jesus Christ ,and what do we see, the exact same picture that is written in scripture about the seven churches.

Message to the Church in Ephesus

Message to the Church in Smyrna

Message to the Church in Pergamum

Message to the Church in Thyatira

Message to the Church in Sardis

Message to the Church in Philadelphia

Message to the Church in Laodicea

Only two out of the seven continue doing what God ask us all to do. But How so one may ask , how can the brethren in christ be so seperated but yet belive on the Lamb of God ? , did they repent, did they re focus there walk in Jesus Christ . or were they spit out. Now it is trully the time for prayer for the brothers and sister, mothers & fathers, daughters and sons in Christ to focus on THE WARNING that Jesus spoke upon.

God Bless and keep them all in prayer

a good post Vic,

the common phrase to all the churches is, 'I know your works' -
(7) times we apparently need to think about these words.

for those who say that 'works' are null and void or don't matter,
well, they obviously mattered to Jesus Christ, and this is what
matters to me.

'i will spew them out of my mouth'
This is a reference to the fact that the holy spirit can be removed from a local body of beluevers.
This is not the holy spirit being taken from individuals but the 'in the midst' of a local church family being taken away.
Reason being the context is continually about churches. Not one individual
