On my mothers side here. I remember an old pic my mother had showed me of her grandmother ... or great-grandmother, not sure which. Full-blooded Native Indian princess ...Blackfoot tribe, I seem to recall. Not exactly sure why the "title" princess. Guessing a daughter of the chief ... something along that line. Somebody in my clan surely has that pic somewhere.

on my paternal granddad's side, i traced the family back to antebellum Kentucky,
and can't find anything prior to 1830.
BUT, now i have a really good Dad, and a whole new Family.

My father spent some time on it and got as far back as the Nordic's on his side ... pretty sure early 1700's.
