Yes and it was by his decree that they were fulfilled and therefore abrogated.
The last time I filled a cup full (fulfilled it) it did not abrogate the cup. Pretty sure filling the Law full, magnifying it (Isa 42:21), did not abrogate it either.

Ok, So, will someone be kind enough to update the Bible and tear out all of the stuff that is no longer in force? Man, that would end a lot of disagreements.

Can someone get right on this please?
I don't need the food laws torn out of my Bible to know they are not in force

(Mt 15:10; Mk 7:19; Ro 14:14, 20; Heb 9:10; 1Co 8:7-8, 10:25-29; 1Ti 4:3-5).

That may well be true, and good for you, and God bless. But what about the new believer who has just dedicated their life to Christ and is reading the Bible for the first time? Are we not to consider them?

You will have to be more specific.
In the Epistles written by these three Apostles, there are numerous commandments given to the various churches/and to the body of Christ.............the Epistles are full of them. Are these commandments to be obeyed physically, or have they been done away with by our living the two commandments?

The whole point of the Hebrew writer is that once the covenant was fulfilled, it was removed and taken out of the way. The two covenants cannot coexist.

Hmm, I thought Jesus reconciled the two into one? Is that now what the writer in Hebrews says?

Are you assuming that because we are under the New Covenant that there are not commandments to be obeyed?
BTW you still did not answer my earlier question. Do you still feel compelled by the law to offer the morning and evening burnt offering with it accompanying meal and drink offering?

Ephesians 2:13 .) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

15 .) Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 .) And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Just a thought here........but if this is true.......that we do not have to obey commandments any longer because we are under Grace, then please explain this..........

The Apostle Paul and the numerous commandments he issued to the churches in his Epistles.

Which takes precedence? The commandments of Christ, or the commandments of Paul?

Just a few days ago a person on this Forum told me that we were no longer obligated to follow the commandments of Christ other than the specific to of "loving God, and loving our Neighbor."

Ok.

So, I took a look at some other threads, and this same person was going off on the idea of women pastors and quoting the commandments of Paul.

??????????

Is it just me? Seriously?

Anyway, just a thought.............
yeah.... (no -it's not just you).... there's a false gospel widespread and growing rapidly on this forum visibly and all across the eww ess eh and the whole world where it's allowed

that is identified by it's key words / phrase "2 commandments only" as you mentioned.....

they always were separated from truth, opposed to Christ Jesus (even though they say otherwise - even TO JESUS ON JUDGMENT DAY !!!!!!)(and JESUS TELLS THEM "BE GONE"....) ....

and it is a miracle of grace upon grace, if God shows them mercy (of course, it is always a miracle God shows any of us mercy!) , so that they may turn to do what is right instead of sinning continually.

Still, none of this addresses the question in the OP..........IF the two commandments fulfill all other commandments of Christ, do they also fulfill all the commandments of Paul, James and Peter?

that's a common mistake they make whether they realize it or not.

if you keep any of the commandments Jesus said to keep, by faith, you will keep them all, willingly and joyously in UNION WITH YAHSHUA IN YAHWEH.

if you break any of the commandments Jesus said to keep, you break them all. Jesus said so. it is written.

Yes, they are the practice of all commands to godliness.

Paul is not talking about making the two covenants into one covenant. He is talking about making the Jew and the Gentile into one people - the Church. "by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man."

new believers reading scripture is wonderful ! if they are seeking God and the kingdom of heaven,

they will be taught by God Himself and not by man and "old believers" who don't do what God says!!!

just start in Matthew and Genesis and Psalms and Revelation , for example, as you read if you're not

deceived by demons you will be given truth and understanding and wisdom and instruction by and from yahweh in the spirit (same as paul was and as all the apostles were and as they said happens)

according to his grace poured out in and by and through christ jesus, and it won't matter what the unbelievers
or
the heretics say ---

keep your spirit, mind, and eye single upon yahweh in yahshua hamashiach (jesus messiah king savior) and you will please him by faith, living as he lives.... as yahshua said to do and says to do..
