Hey everyone, my first post. Satan desires for people to lose focus. Because Jesus commanded everyone to be born again, it becomes irrelevant whether a person is born homosexual or not (John 3:3, 7). To the OP, I got lost at the eternal life being different from immortality. 1 John 3:14 says that the true worshipers have already passed from death unto life right now. As long as they remain faithful servants, eternity has already begun for them. Remember, Jesus didn't regard death to be anymore than sleep (John 11:11). Rom. 2:7; 1 Cor 15:53-54 and 2 Tim 1:10 speak of immortality and eternal as one and the same. Holiness is the nature of God, eternal life is His duration and reward to give to those who are holy as He is holy (Heb. 4:11; 1 Pet. 1:16.) Prior to the bottom half of what the OP has stated, I agree with it. Not that my agreeing has any power, but because it is scriptural. The scripture has power (Heb. 4:12).
People aren't born as homosexuals. If that were so, it would relieve them from all responsibility of what they do if they can point fingers to say God made them this way.

Rather, we are all born with a certain amount of lust because of our fallen nature. Some lusts are greater, deeper, or perverted. Sex is a learned behavior. So if someone with a homosexual type of lust acts on it, it can then become sin. To be tempted is not sin. Jesus was tempted but He never sinned.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has made a way to free us from our sin so we might live. Death is the wage of sin.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Couldn't of said it any better! Correct! and by the Word we Study and Read.. according to what was written down, there have been Effeminates in the Past who were pulled out of Darkness and Redeemed, 'but such were some of you'.. so the blood of Christ is sufficient to pull the Sodomite out of darkness and into His Marvelous Light! indeed.. To God be the Glory! and His Work at the Tree! what Agape Love manifested!

The thing is, no one can prove whether a person is born or not born a homosexual. There isn't anything in the scriptures that address it, so it becomes pointless. Remember that we are not to lose focus of the main thing. Which is more important, to debate the condition in how a person may or may not be born OR if a person has been born again?

Soooo this is the Christlike attitude you are claiming Christians should have
for homosexuals?!

I see it as an alcoholic gene.
There's also a liar's gene.

†. Ps 58:3 . . The wicked are estranged from the womb; these who speak
lies go astray from birth.

That's an interesting statement. It's saying-- in so many words --that
although infants are too young to lie; they are born with a proclivity to lie,
and that's what makes them wicked because that proclivity to lie is in them
and will eventually have its way with them.

Q: So then, seeing as how liars are born that way; don't they have an
excuse?

A: Apparently not.

†. Rev 21:7-8 . . All liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death.

Q: What if liars reform and stop telling lies?

A: They can't. Dishonesty is natural to a liar. Asking a liar to stop fibbing is
like asking Canada Geese to stop flying south for the winter. They can't
stop: they have to fly south because it's in their nature to fly south. In other
words: you might be able to train a dog to stop barking; but I doubt you can
train a dog to stop being a dog.

†. Jer 13:23 . . Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots?
Then you also can do good who are accustomed to doing evil.

All but Christ: born into sin, born depraved, born cursed... still individually responsible for sins committed.
No one is born guilty of homosexuality.

Each person chooses sin, and is responsible for that choice
unless the Lord has taken the responsibility for them upon Himself at the Cross.

There is always a choice, even though we all choose to reject God and run after sin and self. God chose to reveal Himself to mankind through Christ, and save some of those who rejected His perfect ways, and create a new heart within them.

The point is: "born this way" is no excuse. We were all born that way.
Weber is right, we need to be reborn His Way.

Excellent! That's very good news because the OP's purpose is to offer struggling
LGBTs hope.

When the veil is pulled away, you will see its not Gene's Chromosomes, no.. but something else, the 'presence' of something, this is why Jesus never committed Himself unto any man, because He 'knew' what was IN MAN. ESPECIALLY the wicked.... indeed! even those bound in 'religion'.. the light of the Body is the eye'... oh indeed!

There is nothing but futility in targeting and picking on the sin of a sinner. Behaviour isn't the issue. The heart is the issue. A new heart is needed. A New Life. A New Birth. A daily renewal.
Christ is needed.

Let God judge the unbelievers,
and let us judge ourselves, our households, and our churches.
Fight the sin in the camp, and enlarge the camp through evangelism.
We don't win souls by getting people to follow the rules, but by showing them the Ruler of all.

Those who are in Christ know what is good, though. I know because of my family history not to drink. I know not to lie. For those who struggle with homosexuality but believe in Christ, they also don't have to act on their temptations. With Christ, anything is possible.

We here to discuss ALL matters of the Word and to fellowship. So thank you but we know why we're here.

The unsaved are parroting the very idea of people being born gay. The believe it and some very violently. There's been a lie going on around about a gay gene since the early 90s. Ha! It was hoax. Believers better have all their ducks in a row if they hope to engage the world in a conversation about Jesus.

Homosexuality is a lust. We are all born fallen and hence born with lust. Some of us with greater lusts than others.

Homosexual relationships are counterfeit of the male and female relationship as God created them. It is a slap in the face of the type and shadow of the Bride (His Church) and the Groom (Christ). No glory can come of a homosexual union.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

I'd imagine there's going to be a lot of bitter resentment at the Great White
Throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15 when numbers of LGBT-hating
Christians see themselves condemned to the lake of burning sulfur while up
in the gallery transformed LGBT folk dressed in white look on. Oh the
exquisite irony of it.

Awwww-Haw-Haw-Haw-Hawwwwww! ;)

you have no idea what you're laughing at
The wrath of God is interesting. For example:

"Behold, the day of The Lord comes-- cruel; with both wrath and fierce
anger" (Isa 13:9)

The Hebrew word for "wrath" in that statement is 'ebrah (eb-raw') which
indicates an outburst of passion. In other words: the wrath of God won't be
weeping big wet crocodile tears while it's slamming the dead at the Great
White Throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15; no, they will be terminated
with extreme prejudice; viz: their judgment will be administered with choler.
(cf. Isa 63:1-6, Rev 19:15)

Webster's defines "fierce" as a behavior exhibited by humans and animals
that inspires terror because of the wild and menacing aspect of fury in
attack. Ferocity is an aspect commonly seen among roaring, snarling lions
savagely attacking prey. There's neither sportsmanship nor sympathy in
ferocity; only sheer terror, brutality, and blood lust.

"cruel" is defined as: disposed to inflict pain or suffering; viz: devoid of
humane feelings

"A certain fearful expectation of . . . fiery indignation" (Heb 10:27)

"fiery indignation" is quite a bit more severe than ordinary indignation. It
speaks of someone who is seriously ticked off; and so angry that they're
actually red in the face.

There are people out there in pews all around the world who have been so
coddled by sappy versions of Christianity that they have no concept of the
magnitude of the lethal tsunami of rage and violence coming their way to
get them.

Another interesting aspect of the wrath of God is the person appointed to
administer it-- none other than the sweet little baby away in a manger.

†. John 5:22-23 . .The Father judges no one, but has committed all
judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the
Father.

†. Acts 17:31 . . For God has set a day when he will judge the world with
justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men
by raising him from the dead.

†. Rev 19:15 . . He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the
winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

You know all those horrors depicted in the book of Revelation? Jesus Christ
has been designated to supervise every one of them.

†. Rev 1:1 . .The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his
servants.

I could only but wish that there were some way to get your mind off trivial
matters and impress upon you that people who pass on into the next life
lacking the divine nature about which Peter spoke at 2Pet 1:4, and Christ
spoke at John 3:14-16, will be sentenced to the lake of burning sulfur as per
Rev 21:8 and barred from entering the holy city as per Rev 21:28; and it
won't matter whether they are LGBT or non LGBT. Nobody is exempt. The
divine nature isn't optional; it's a must.

†. John 3:7 . .You must be born again.

=================================================
The only way one can receive this divine nature is to receive divine seed from and of the divine God. The only way one can receive the divine seed from and of the divine God is to receive the divine Word of God. The only way one can receive the divine word of God is to hear it, agree with it, and believe it, but one must keep it. After one receives the word, one must act on it in order for salvation to take place. Rom 10:8-10
The word, keep, does not mean the same as the word, do, in the bible. It does not mean to do the word, it means to keep it within you like one holds a grudge or love for a relative. They keep it within them. The word of God is truth, if you keep the truth of the gospel without corrupting it, you will keep your salvation as well.
Luk 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Luk 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Joh 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
God's word IS TRUTH.
Joh 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
Joh 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Jas 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Jas 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
If the word of God lives forever and you keep it within you, then you too will live forever.

1Co 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Okay, let me rephrase it then. I know lying is wrong and is a sin. And for whenever I do lie (cause we all do at some point. We are humans, after all, not robots) yes I feel awful about it afterwards. That's where we turn to God and ask for His forgiveness.

There's no doubt such a tsunami is coming and there is gratification knowing God is Just, but I pray for the enemies of the Cross that the saving grace of Jesus Christ may be upon them, while you on the other hand salivate at the thought of thumping your chest at other peoples' peril. God don't like ugly, weber. You better soften your heart.

The seed is the word of God.
"seed" doesn't always refer to words; for example:

†. Gal 3:16 . .The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The
Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to
your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ.

†. Rom 1:3 . . Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David
according to the flesh

†. 2Tim 2:8 . . Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David

The seed in those passages is obviously speaking of genetics rather than
words.

Here's another passage where I think it's best to interpret seed as
referring to genetics.

†. 1John 3:9 . . No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed
abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

In other words: if someone were to be born of God, they would quite
naturally inherit His sinless perfection; for example:

Jesus Christ was born not only of Abraham and David; but also of God; and
the Bible attests to his sinless perfection.

†. 1Pet 2:22 . . He committed no sin

†. Heb 4:15 . . He was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Most folk like to attribute Christ's sinless perfection to his being God; but I'd
rather attribute it to Christ's possession of his Father's life.

†. John 5:27 . . As the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the
Son to have life in himself.

Well; needless to say, the kind of life that's in the Father is eternal life;
which is the very same kind of life that Christ grants to his believing
followers. (John 3:14-16. John 17:2)

I conclude therefore, that the "seed" spoken of in 1John 3:9 is eternal life;
which is an inherently sinless kind of life as opposed to human life which
is an inherently sinful kind of life.

Q: If eternal life is an inherently sinless kind of life, then why does 1John
1:8-10 say that Christ's believing followers are liars if they claim to be
sinless?

A: Because his believing followers are an amalgam of that which is human
and that which is divine.

†. John 3:6 . .That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born
of the Spirit is spirit.

Q: Well; if Christ was an amalgam of that which is human and that which is
divine; then why didn't 1John 1:8-10 apply to him?

A: Christ had a whopping advantage over his believing followers. He wasn't
just filled with the Spirit; he was over-maxed with it.

†. John 3:34 . . God's Spirit is upon him without measure or limit.

†. Col 2:9 . . For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form'

No,my English is not so bad.Been speaking it my whole life. But I was not aware this was a grammar forum,or an English language forum. Pretty sure this is a discussion forum. So lets stick with that and leave the sarcasm for another time.

Quote "is not only the last laugh" God does not consider hell a laughing matter. He wants all to be saved. Its not humorous in any way.
