To me, the government allowed a legal contract they Called "marriage". It is just a word I don't give power to. A marriage is only the way God set it up to be - a covenant between man and woman.

The world is just setting itself for judgment - We are not told us to judge the world. We are told by Jesus to pray for harvesters to go out and harvest what is ready for the Kingdom. He even said He did not come to judge the world. That will come later.

I think this is a very distracting thing for all Christians at this time. We should be watching to see where Christ IS working, and join Him - continue our calling - and not neglect our gifts for each other - especially our time or true praise and worship.

Satan wins this battle only if it takes our eyes off of Christ.
This is an excellent and very wise post. I know I've been upset about this gay marriage issue to the point where it's making me feel bitter. I've been very distracted by it. Thanks for putting it into perspective.

"In God We Trust" became the USA's official motto in 1956 and was printed
on American currency beginning in 1957. That motto is way overdue to be
removed because I seriously doubt there are enough people in the USA
trusting in God anymore to justify its use. I'd even go so far as to say that
God is insulted by that motto because He knows it isn't true.

==========================================
I think it pretty much has been deleted through credit cards and EFT.

[HR][/HR]For me I think a great deal happened.

GOD may have just washed his hands of protecting the USA.

We CEASED to be One Nation Under GOD.

I lost my pride in what the USA has become.

It will be hard to have the same deep sense of Patriotism that I once had.

The USA has become the leader of the world in the Great Falling Away.

The USA has become a nation that snubs her nose at GOD.

SOON pro-gay marriage people will be filing Law Suites against Churches that refuse to Marry them or refuse to permit them Membership.

My Flag now flies ONLY FOR THE VETERANS AND OUR SERVICE MEN, and no longer for the USA.

For the fist time in my life, I would like to live in another Country.

Isaiah 5:20-21 (ASV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (NKJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
[SUP]2 [/SUP] not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
Compare to what God did to israel in the OT, when it openly rebel against the Lord.

It is easy to predict, it will bring judgment to America.

Thomas Jefferson
3rd U.S. President, Drafter and Signer of the Declaration of Independence

"God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever; That a revolution of the wheel of fortune, a change of situation, is among possible events; that it may become probable by Supernatural influence! The Almighty has no attribute which can take side with us in that event."

Patrick Henry
Ratifier of the U.S. Constitution

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here."
--The Trumpet Voice of Freedom: Patrick Henry of Virginia, p. iii.

George Washington – First President of the United States of America
“It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.”

The Declaration of Independence laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity.

The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.

The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.

There is also more to consider about America/the United States of America, and not to derail this thread. The house of Ephraim i.e the ten tribes not belonging to Judah or Benjamin, are scattered throughout the entire world these days. Those 10 tribes are Old Covenant people of the promise as well as Judah and Benjamin. I say this not to refute what you are saying, but to amplify consideration for all who read this post. Ezekiel 37:16-19 = two sticks becoming one in God's hand. Righteous judgment always purifies those who listen, respond, and repent.

It's over.....all that remains is judgment....Romans, The cities of the plain (4 of 5), The Law, Jude, Peter....God will not let this nation continue on it's current path without judgment for much longer.....The things listed in post 3 and the straw that breaks the camel's back will bring this nation to it's knees........and a study of history will reveal that God uses godless nations on a regular basis to judge those entities which are supposed to have a vestige of truth and biblical principles.........Assyria-->Israel,
Babylon--->Judah to name two.........!

God is withholding His Judgement upon the wicked.
He rebukes, corrects, and chastises His Own Children presently,
but not yet the daughters of Babylon.

This is Babylon. Not just the US, but the whole world system. Look at who is running it. Kabbalists and Zoroastrians under the banner of Freemasonry. From the US to Russia to UK to South Africa to the UN to Saudi Arabia to Israel: all under the same banner:
the tower of humanism, the tower of communication, the tower of centralization, the tower of urbanization, the stairway to heaven upon earth, grabbing destiny for ourselves, the Tower of Babel!! Babylon.

Men do what is right in their own eyes, and call it moral.
This is not my country. It is thiers, and they can do what they please.
My country is a Heavenly Kingdom.

Flee from Babylon. Turn, like Lot from Sodom and Gomorrah, and don't look back.
Let us wander, and only settle down when we reach the Promised Land. Let us not set our roots in this soil, and become attached. We are not of this world, though we are in it. Keep moving.

(Romans 13:1-4) 13 Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2 Therefore, whoever opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will bring judgment against themselves. 3 For those rulers are an object of fear, not to the good deed, but to the bad. Do you want to be free of fear of the authority? Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it; 4 for it is God’s minister to you for your good. But if you are doing what is bad, be in fear, for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword. It is God’s minister, an avenger to express wrath against the one practicing what is bad.

At the end of the day, we are a “nation of laws”. God will tend to matters that pertain to God. The Christian obligation to keep integrity to God will not be affected by the “Law of the Land”!! Being able to discuss different opinions freely is a wonderful perk of a country with “laws”. Law is so much better than the chaos that comes with anarchy!!!! Each one much decide whether the “Law of the Land” or the “Law of God “ will guide their conscience and behavior.

All I can say is, hopefully the nationalist vibe within the Bible-Belt is now broken. Nothing worse than someone claiming the Kingdom while praising a worldly nation... right during the Assembly none-the-less!
I am no rebel, but I am also no patriot. It's not my country, so it's not my place to hold either position. The taxes I pay, I view as rent of the space. I am not represented in that government, and neither are any who are in Christ.

Oh I believe in God. No doubt...just not sure of the one you believe in.

I just consider the source. It's weird when one is unsure of their spiritual standing but very sure when it comes to God and what He instituted...

Genesis 2:22-24 (KJV)
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

I am writing in 'JESUS CHRIST' on the ballot next election. That is my vote.
I'm sick of playing games, pretending that men control Authority.
God ordains authority.
We are fools and humanists to think that we are in control by voting.

What a deception of Satan, to make Christians feel responsible for knowing about and fretting over worldly affairs.
"Yet, it is your Christian duty to know about the issues and vote for officials..."
lies and distraction!!

Where did you get your 'rep' points from?
Never seen 3 rep on someone with only 100 posts.
Especially when that someone supports gay marriage on a Christian forum.

Why does it say 'not sure' in your profile?
Christians do not support slavery.
Christians did not support the unjust genocide of American Indians...because Christians believe ALL men are made in the image of God. It is not a sin to be black or any color.
Christians do not support homosexuality and gay marriage as well as the sexual act of sodomy is sin according to Scripture.

So your bogus equation is just that...bogus.

I believe in Jesus Christ who along with the Trinity gave us His Word found from Genesis to Revelation.

Mark 13:10-13 (NKJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
