I am up to here with negative attitudes in Christians

It is the foundation up which our hope is built, it is what we sing about everyday, and ask the Lord to be gracious to us because He loves. It is the well spring of our lives.

To those who feel this is empty and hollow, you have shut out Jesus from your heart and do not know the Kingdom of God. It is like night and day.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

Real Christians strive to be like Jesus Christ - what you are describing is a state of being a "professing christian" - one who has not truly accepted the gift of salvation but says he/she is a Christian. The proof is the fruit of the Spirit is totally missing from their attitudes and demeanor. But here in cc, they follow certain other people around so they can quickly jump on any post they make and accuse them of heresy and such. They can't see that every time they do that, those with even a small amount of wisdom can see that they are proving over and over that they are the ones pushing false doctrine and should not be listened to.

Peter, your posts are generally very introspective and I don't know if it is the rather damp climate you live in, or if you have not had victory over sins?

either way, we can look to Christ or we can try to piece together our life in a fashion we think we understand but we shall never get it right

as for the rest of your post, love is the biggest and not the smallest thing

I am sorry if you find my approach difficult. I find it interesting to take an idea and explore the meaning and its different implications. I am not reading in what you personally meant by the phrases but how they come across to me, and then I am responding just to the idea, which does represent a position many would take. It is a way of expanding an idea, it is not meant as anything agressive or pointed.

Amen, that love is the biggest thing. So sister we are in agreement, I could kiss you, praise the Lord.

Just to say, I do not know how you think, what you think, who you are or how you live. Should I so I can say things in just the right way for you? I am sure that is actually impossible, I can only share as the Lord gives me words, so I apologise if I have upset you, unless ofcourse it is the contents of the gospel that is upsetting, which I can do nothing about.

One thing I have learnt over my life, it is always better to share and then get feedback, than stay silent and assume we all agree. We grow by sharing, learning from each other, and adjusting the words so we might encourage each other the more.

By the way if you make a quote, be ready for it to be miss-quoted because whatever we say, it will be understood in ways we did not expect or even intend, that is just part of public speaking.

I'm confused as to how starting ANOTHER negative thread accusing brothers and sisters will somehow remove other negative threads and posts. Please let's focus more on building up, loving, and caring for the Body of believers.

Good thread but unfortunately it will make no difference as a few of these threads have been started to try and eliminate the belittling and demeaning attacks made by some with no effect.

The reason being is because these few who still do this on here do not think they are doing anything wrong, and when called out they just ignore and reverse the attention on others to hide their sinful actions.

Then when brought up again here or there by other new members on here who see this bad attitude right away when they join. Those who do this bad behavior quickly jump to defend their sinful actions by trying to justify why they are behaving the way they are towards others to take the attention off of them so that they do not have to admit what they are doing.

I have even seen one brother on here try to hide belittling remarks in soothing words as to act as if he is not doing what he was called out for and then placed on ignore from the other individual for what was said. Then they come back with such unedifying tact's as grow up, don't get so offended, stop whining, and such.

I will no longer have conversations with the few on here who can not bridle their tongues !!!

From what I have seen and what has been directed toward me as well as about me when I was apparently not supposed to see it, people don't know how to do that in here...or there is the other possibility which is the spiritual warfare is being won by the adversary of Jesus Christ rather than His children. Pretty sad either way.

We can quote scripture after scripture, showing their error, and it isn't taken to heart by those that divide, doing the same things day after day with their unwarranted assumptions. Private wars should not exist between true Christians so watch who causes the problems and have nothing to do with them as the Word says.
As I said, a true believer should be able to bring up any subject and not be attacked by others who claim to be believers. Look closely and see who makes the first derogatory remark on threads that are so often called divisive. We are called to teach the whole truth of God and that is not going to set well with the insincere, those who find it entertaining to argue, or those who think they know the right way and everyone else is wrong when they ignore much of God's word and then call names -- like calling me a "roaring lioness' but I guess I wasn't supposed to see that. Yeah, that is Christian love in action, all right.

Yes and amen. There is a difference between 'discussing' from a place of learning, and attacking with fangs & claws.
At the same time, when it comes to those with fangs and claws, I view them through the light of this scripture:

Revelation 3

I agree. All it does is breed more strife, negativity and bad feelings. If people could only learn to take their issues into PM, rather than start threads calling out other people.. smh..IMO, some people on here ENJOY mocking, embarassing and humiliating others on here.
