Error quenches the Spirit. If error continues unabated, as it is so far, love becomes the first casualty.

Guys, my house group is an interesting time. Sometimes I ask questions to show another point of view, not to annoy but to broaden the ideas, so we are a little less certain and more humble. I have blundered in with an idea, only to find the words I used meant something I did not intend to someone, who if I had known, I would express it differently.

I find the law is a beautiful thing, but it does not justify me. I find grace sets me free from guilt but does not make me walk correctly in love. Knowing I am forever in the Lords hands does not mean I could not choose to walk away.

A thought bore into my soul recently. If the King of Kings visited my house, how much effort would I make to make it clean and tidy? But He listens to my prayers and considers my needs daily. Oh what grace and wonder our Lord bestowed upon us. The Kingdom is here, within us, but making our lives reflect this daily with all the stresses and strains is hard.

So I say from the bottom of my heart I love you all, and wish above anything, to bless and be blessed for you are the body of Christ, a people purchased by His blood, washed clean and walking in His spirit.

Often the arguments are sincerely held positions for good reasons and with a good history. Is it possible to practice grace and realise we need more time and space to expand our understanding to take it in. So for me, I have no disputes or arguments, I just share as I am led.

Oh Tourist, you got me. I just went into a laughing fit.
Why are things that are NOT funny, so humorous to you? Waco was a tragedy. Your sense of humor is seriously out of whack..

You're wrong. Dead wrong. I'm going to have to get a large large fly swatter. That'll be my last resort!

Have you ever been to a funeral? Ever see people laughing? Doesn't mean they are laughing at the loss the family feels. But did you know they could be laughing at death itself. You never know.

I have a family member who has suffered with a health disease. You know what, she knows my humor. She likes it. It's about SOME of the situations related to the disease.

Of course Waco was a tragedy. I already knew someone would pull that before I even posted my response. Do you see the word WACO? That's where the humor is for me.

No one is laughing at the death and violence.

I have family members in the medical field. Some in law enforcement. Did you know lots of folks in those fields laugh at situations they come across! (They'll laugh at appropriate time.)

I've have friends who are firefighters, they tell me they laugh at how an accident happens. Why? You'll all kinds of answers.
What they are not laughing at is the tragedy itself. They are not laughing at the pain, the loss.

So to be clear. I do not find the death of children to be funny. Not even at Waco.

But I find Tourist's reply to be extremely funny, hilarious. It's the word Waco as related to my post he was responding to. There's the humor.

Whatevah.. your reply makes no sense at all. EVERY funeral I'VE ever been to, all the people have been crying or comforting others who were crying. NEVER have I seen a person laugh at a funeral. And what's funny about death? I honestly don't understand your humor. I find nothing funny about tourist's reply, especially the picture of a burning building, possibly with people inside..

I agree. All it does is breed more strife, negativity and bad feelings. If people could only learn to take their issues into PM, rather than start threads calling out other people.. smh..IMO, some people on here ENJOY mocking, embarassing and humiliating others on here. A VERY bad example of how REAL christians should act. :/ jmpov
AMEN!

Baby Girl!

Beyond pain and strife....

BIG Amen lovey dove! :)

Just watch and see who starts the controversy. True children of Messiah should be able to bring up any subject and not be attacked by other supposed believers.

To be a Christian...
Is to live for love!

Simple and true!

All scientists and explorers can spend millions of our hard working taxes...

Oh yes that's fine

-rollseyes-

To find 'beyond' us

Well
Ahem...sorry educated fools

God is inside us!
And if you would feel it in your heart....
Not your data

Um....All would know the Spirit!
Amen

true followers of messiah would not bring up heresy, and call it Gods truth.

Those who bring up Gods truth, do not have to worry about being attacked. Because Gods truth stands on its own two feet. And attackers have no power.

It is NOT heresy to believe every word that comes from God - it is truth. I don't "worry" about being attacked because Yeshua said people like you hated Him before they hated me so I am in good company. What I worry about is all of the babes in Christ that you would teach your false doctrine of greasy grace to, and thus prevent them from learning the truth in time to repent before it is for ever too late.

1 Corinthians 9:19-23 (NAS)
19 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may win more.
20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under the Law;
21 to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law.
22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.
23 I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.

Where's the love man? Save me!

So true......

All of you all thank you for your posts

I myself often struggle with self criticisms

Because I am a love poet
A Song writer

I am like

'Is this good enough..?'

Then my mind thinks

Skylove...know what'?

I not going to be as amazing here
As I want to be

But by the love of God
He doesn't care

For He knows that I try!

We all must love and try

And with my gift of love!

HaHa

Evil I fear not...ever! :)

It's called satire! It means you take a serious situation and in order to cope, you look at it from an improbable viewpoint.

It is a valid literary device, and it does not mean that you acutally are laughing at the person or situation. Some people don't get satire, and that is ok. Personally, I am always happy when someone breaks up the pig headed monotony of this forum with some twisted irony or satire
.

I never said it was. Nor do I teach that every word that comes from God is not to be believed. And your false accusation that I do is in error.

It is sad that you are a grown adult and yet you still can not understand what people are saying, and still have to act like a child to support your belief by lying about what others believe
