Hebrews 10:25

not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

I prefer to worship at a non-denominational Community Church group.
(can we not tear other church groups apart)...Just wondering.

Why?

Psalms 63:3 (KJV) Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Corporate worship amongst believers is even better.

There are several denominations and many non-denominational churches with whom I could comfortably worship.

any of the more conservative churches within the various Baptist denominations, Christian Missionary Alliance, Mission Covenant, Evangelical Bible Church, Evangelical Free Church, Christian Church, In Faith, and Mennonite church.

All these are virtually doctrinally identical; and differences between them are mostly regarding mission emphasis and church polity. Within these I would seek the least legalistic congregations. There are likely others I am unfamiliar with.

I think the point might be the woman's question, and what Jesus said in reply.... just before the words quoted here. (This is only part of His answer to her.)

Anytime, anywhere..... Where two or three are gathered together. Daily with my husband in devotional readings, on CC with fellow believers.

I went to church with my Aunt Lois SDA - Seventh Day Adventist for those who might not know....The why was because that is where she went and I was a kid taken there with her children....

I have had an interest in other denominations to find out what they believe. But the most important thing is salvation and the teaching of it through Jesus. The gospel is key because it really is all about Jesus and what He has done for us. Our part is do we choose to follow and build a relationship with Him or not. Repent and be saved the gift is offered to we choose to accept the gift?

The question you posed was, where do we worship, and why. My answer = Scripture stating we worship in spirit (within ourselves) because that is what God desires. The physical place is not as important as the fact that we do it in truth. And the truth is, we can worship in spirit anywhere. I do attend a non-denominational church on Sundays, also. The pastor, his wife, their children, and the congregants are all lovely. It is part of a fairly large and diverse spiritual community I participate in on a very regular basis. My apologies if my original response confused you. I do tend to mostly keep my answers relatively short and very much to the point, with little explanation.

Awesome and thank you for explaining. I was hoping this was the direction you were taking. Forgive me but I am a little CC gun shy.

:wow: you change and sounds familiar
like one of our brethren :hihihi:
She's really in her surroundings for she is true to everyone that she would
kick some butt rather than to
Cut those helpless trees in the mountains

many folks in our community was been devastated because of the floods
And those illegal loggers were the prime suspects :chair:

though our brethren :hihihi: is really calm and quit like our fellows :secret:
She acts like mother nature if she's been possesed este we mean
If she's been possessed by her anger to those who tries to ruin
Our surroundings and the very nature itself . ... And she's a
former pagan goddess believer
:smoke:
1 Peter: 1. 7. That the trial of your faith (much more precious than gold which is tried by the fire) may be found unto praise and glory and honour at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8. Whom having not seen, you love: in whom also now, though you see him not, you believe: and believing shall rejoice with joy unspeakable and glorified;

Hebrews: 4. 12. For the word of God is living and effectual, and more piercing than any two edged sword; and reaching unto the division of the soul and the spirit, of the joints also and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

GODBLESS US ALL
my brothers and my sisters

I worship in church of course...but I also do it at home. Sometimes I'll close myself in my room and start dancing and singing on my own with my headphones on. It could be fast upbeat music or slow and peaceful. Either way, I enjoy it and I hope God does too. When I'm driving, I'll turn up my radio and start singing and nodding my head.

I worship because He deserves all the praise and worship we can give Him. God is good!

Apart from church: In nature :)
That's where I feel closest to God.

7“But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
8or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
9Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
10In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.

I attend a non denominational home group based church in Columbus, ohio. We base our church on smaller home groups. With weekly gatherings at a few central teaching areas throughout the city where home churches meat for a weekly sunday service and bible study.

Our foundation is the word of God. Discipleship. body life and ministry out reach to people in need. (especially inner city and college groups)

Jesus told the little gal that neither in the building in this mountain and not the building in Jerusalem.......We are His building, His tabernackle, His dwelling place. A temple not made by the dirty hands of man.
We are to fellowship in the truth and Spirit. Could be on line only! The word 'truth' is the qualifier here. Without that the Spirit is quenched.

Yet,
You are so eaten up with this vendetta that you are actually trying to add words to the Bible. Ease up, Man.

I have always worshipped in church, either as a member of the worship team, a worship leader and the music director for quite a few years. Of course, part of worship is the Word of God being preached. When one preacher stopped using the Word of God, I left the church.

I worship in my car, and especially while riding my bike. This last year has really been bad since I haven't been able to ride my bike much, because of my RA med failures. Hopefully, I will be back on the bike soon, and get some fall riding in, while praising God for his incredible creation.

I have been worshiping in church in Baptist congregations for the last 10 years. Before that, Alliance and Evangelical Free Church. Before that, I was in the orchestra in a big Pentecostal Church. That was fun! We did Christmas and Easter productions with a 60 piece orchestra and 100 piece choir. Over 10,000 people attended over the weekend. Many unsaved people came through the doors and made commitments to Christ. I think that outreach made all the practicing and rehearsals worth it!

Sorry, I forgot to mention why I attend Baptist churches - theology is the reason. Sound theology! And good preaching! Absolutely essential!

I encourage everyone to attend a saved-by-grace congregation, which can teach them something enlightening, one or more times a week. And if obedience is a form of worship (Romans 12:1), then I encourage everyone to worship God everywhere they find themselves in life.
