Her critic says no, but she says otherwise. What say you?

No human has the power to affect the weather. When we look at Elijah's situation, that it not rain for 3.5 years, it was God's will because He wanted King Ahab to learn that He is God and there is no other. Elijah was faithful and God honored his faith. Don't forget that God says, "If they speak not according to His word, there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20.

Did you know that one of the last great deceptions will be spiritualism? And don't forget that Satan will appear as a great light deceiving many on this earth. So be very careful to study the Word of God so you won't be deceived or cause others to be deceived. God's Word is the standard by which we are to check everything.

All I know is that God answers prayer -- sometimes the answer is yes and sometimes the answer is no. This does not mean that we, personally, as Christians, have the power to change the weather, prevent accidents, etc., etc. Sometimes God's answer is no, but sometimes His answer is yes -- we never know how He'll answer our prayers.

God has the power to do that, God alone, unless she is equal to God? And if she thinks she can change why does she not fly to drought striken countrys???

Why did Jesus rebuke the apostles for not having faith when they woke him during the storm?

The Creator controls the weather, not the created...we've only been given the privilege of petition through prayer, amen

Matt 5:45
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

If through faith we have the power to move mountains then why wouldn't we have the power to calm a storm? Yes all the power comes from God but He has given us power through the HS.

~John 14:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

So what do you think Jesus was saying speaking of the mountain?

What I personally see has no bearing of God's word being true.

Who can say for sure either way in her case, but.....Jesus did say that if you have faith comparable to the size of a mustard seed........One time on Arkansas it had been a particular hot and muggy three weeks and I prayed and asked God if he could cool it off a bit..within 1 hour clouds came in followed by a thunder storm and three days of misting rain and a drop in temps from 105 to around 75.....answered prayer? ONLY God can say...either way..all glory goes to God!

Through the Holy Spirit I would say yes.

~~John 14:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father

Jesus calmed the storm and from the verse above we can do the same.

No one but God can affect the weather. But a faithful believer in God can be a conduit thru which God may change the weather.

There's a spot in the northwest corner of the San Fernando Valley where you can hike to the top of a hill and observe the entire valley. During one of CA's last droughts, one day I was up there and felt led to pray for rain over the valley. I felt as if I were one of many who were being led to do so.

The rains came. And came. And came. Several months later we were soaked. Floods, hillslides, and the like were prevalent. Then the weather nerds forecast the biggest and wettest storm of all was about to hit. It would have been catastrophic.

Back on top of the hill again, I was led to be one of many praying the storm pass us by. Lo and behold, the storm split in two... half heading to Mexico, half to Oregon and Washington.

Can we do anything? Nope. But that doesn't mean God can't use us to be part of something He is doing. It's all His power, the only thing we bring to the table is the faith to participate.

I try not to think about Gloria Copeland the Barbie of the Televangelist circuit, or her Husband the aptly named Ken.

Whoever Gloria Copeland is, unless she's God, it's highly doubtful she has the power to affect the weather..
