Well unless she is wearing a long shirt to cover the booty, I think yoga pants leave nothing to the imagination. So I dont know if you were being serious but I dont walk around in public in thin skin tight yoga pants . While I certainly think its alright to wear pants, there is way to wear them that is modest you know?

Yes its terrible and against the nature of God for woman to wear pants, and I can biblically provide evidence from ...

oh I cant find any ... But im just going to say it to be a legalistic pious git!

How often do you wear your robe out in public? Ever? Never? Why not? That was the dress code two thousand years ago. Shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself for not dressing like they did back then? It was good enough for Jesus.

I wear men's tee shirts and sweatpants all the time. They're sooo much more comfy than women's clothes. I sincerely doubt God is gonna condemn me for wanting to be comfortable. :)

I am speaking the truth plainly to you, Euphemia, I am just like you that way, and I have spoken the plain truth to you for the last couple of days, but you do not like it when people speak the plain truth to you it seems, even when they use the same words you do to make sure you understand the message. No, instead of accepting the plain truth, you have called me names and denied it and lied to me and denied it and slandered me and denied it. I wear men's tee shirts and sweatpants all the time. They're sooo much more comfy than women's clothes. I sincerely doubt God is gonna condemn me for wanting to be comfortable. :)

I agree that of course God is not going to condemn us. Im just wondering how mens sweatpants and teeshirts are more comfortable than womens sweatpants and teeshirts? Im being serious and really want to know. Not judging...

Well, people have funny ideas about what it is a sin to do. Why, just yesterday I was told a number of times that it is a sin to admit you are/identify as a sinner. I don't know where some people get their ideas. They sure aren't Biblical :)

Because at Walmart where I usually get my clothes, they only carry small or medium size sweats and tees. Nothing in MY size, unless I get mens.. :) Not gonna try and stuff my booty into size small when I need a size 2X.. lol

The context and meaning of the legislation in Scripture is that there needs to be a demarcation between the sexes that 'dressing up as the other sex' (ie, wearing the opposite sex's clothes) removes.

In today's society, there are many 'unisex' or 'no sex' clothes - probably the best assessment of the legislation is to ask whether the person wearing the clothes is deliberately trying to give an image of themselves as a different sex. But within the culture in which they live. A kilt to a Scotsman may be misconstrued as a skirt to someone in another culture. And trousers (US - pants) may cause a problem if worn in another culture where men wear robes. And vice versa.

Unfortunately, many denominations have tried to make a universal law to apply to believers to justify their lifestyle while condemning others who don't conform to their laws. But that's happened not just with clothing - with alcohol, watching films, Sunday...

..the list is endless. We *probably* all have our own invented taboos that we like to impose upon others.

But, I certainly think it's wrong for a man to try and get in to a woman's pants (but that's something totally different, of course :))

I love men in kilts, too bad I didn't get to trick one into following me back to Norway :p

It is according to what is normal custom in the land and age in which we live- as long as it does not go against specific rules. Pants are way more modest than dresses or skirts. If you recall, we all started out wearing robes- both men and women. Yet there were feminine robes, and masculine robes. And today there are feminine pants and masculine pants (and shirts, and shoes, etc.).

Id like to mention, in New Testament times, men are supposed to have short hair, and women are to have long hair. Yet I see men with ponytails, and women with their hair shaved up the back of their necks- shameful (according to the bible).

I know years ago, no matter what denomination you was in, most of the women wore dresses. even in old movies and pictures ladies wore dresses.

have we missed a "small fox" by changing on this? especially in view of this homosexual spirit that has invaded America and the church, with the blending of the sexes.

Well The point is women are to dress Modestly And this can be done wearing pants too. The attire one wears will differ if she is working on a ranch, in an office at home in church etc... I ask you should women wear burkas and shrouds ? a " homosexual spirit "? I do not know if i would call it that but to each his own.

It's these sorts of issues that we need to deal with accurately. If we accept Scripture's authority, it's important that we deal with what it's telling us correctly. If a rule is in the Church that is ungodly, then it must be challenged and explained why it's wrong - so we can understand what it is that God is saying.

Well sister Magenta., I would not call that a sin at all. What that is - is not understanding who you are in Christ. I always considered myself a sinner who was saved by grace too. That was the identity I was given by my Christian brethren for as long as I can remember and the title I gladly accepted because I sure felt that way.

I began to read the promises in the Bible and couldn't imagine taking God up on them since I was such a rotten sinner saved by grace. How can I take anything more than what He has already given when He gave me eternal life??? Those promises are only for those extra special saintly Christians who do alllll things well and go to Africa and Asia as missionaries. Or the Proverbs 31 woman and those like her whose husbands praise her at the gate. I was glad to just be even a dishwasher or gate keeper in heaven or even here on earth for that matter. I could never even measure up to that but I took it with lots of fear He may change His mind after seeing how I fail daily.

But then heard preaching and read in the Bible about who we as Christians are in this world and the next. I saw a visual about how the animal sacrifices in the old testament were done. This Hebrew man took a pure white innocent young lamb who was just walking, trusting and compliant as she walked by the guys side. They walked into the city and the lamb was examined by the Jewish High Priest. Finding no spot or blemish on the lamb, the man who bought the lamb laid his hands on the lambs head. That meant symbolically he was transferring his sins onto that innocent lamb...then the innocent lamb's purity was symbolically transferred to the man. The High Priest took a large knife and slit the throat of the innocent white lamb and the whole story was changed into a horrible bloody mess.

That innocent lamb was a picture of the Savior who went quietly to His death without saying a word. Just went and allowed Himself to be handled and given up to the knife. He did all that so I could walk away in His white purity no longer having sin in me because He could take my ugly rottenness on Him and before God, this transaction took place.

Now after over 27yrs of seeing myself as a dirty rotten sinner saved by grace, I can see for the VERY first time I have Jesus righteousness imputed on me because of what He did 2000 yrs ago. God sees me as He sees His Son in His righteousness and purity. (too bad I never knew it to this extent till only recently) He put within us a new nature a born again spirit and the Holy Spirit and great and precious promises for us too.

We are now forever covered in Jesus., The blood poured out to pay for my right to stand on the promises. Standing on what Jesus imputed to me. He did no sin., He knew no sin yet He paid for my sin. Am not a sinner any longer, am now a son (daughter) because Jesus paid my way with His love and grace. So we could be the righteousness of God IN Christ. I now take the promises by faith believing God sees Jesus and not my sin. I've wasted a lot of years not agreeing with God.
