yes, and I'm not thinking just about carbon dating. maybe it means that science about the distant past is useless.
And different kinds of scientists have different theories of what Stonehenge was. (They're giving up on the whole mystical/holy-place idea, although many still think that.) The article is in Smithsonian, a layman's science mag, but truthfully, all it shows me is how often scientists are wrong on more than just carbon dating.

I'm more inclined to believe that this isn't true, that the Stonehenge is a post-Flood structure.
Whether it's 1600 or 2600 BC, doesn't that make it post flood either way?

I want to see where they get 6000 years from the Bible and how humans have always had these freshly bodies.

Especially in light of the promised resurrected bodies with no flesh or blood...how each star has its own unique body.

How Adam and eve needed to be clothed with animal skins....a lot of assumptions no one questions about interpertations of the Bible based on faulty Jewish traditional understand which Jesus already revealed as faulty.

But people would rather make science their enemy then question their traditional understanding of the Bible.

Also how can a day be 24 hours when the sun and moon and stars weren't created until the 3rd day?

Stonehenge was a dance hall were they played trumpet music and eat grapes...

*Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; *and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. *Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. *God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, *and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. *So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. - Genesis 1:14-19 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis1:14-19&version=NKJV

1 Corinthians 15
*All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.*There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. *There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. - 1 Corinthians 15:39-41 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Corinthians15:39-41&version=NIV

Hello Ariel82,

Correction, the sun, moon and stars were created on the 4th day. On the first day God created light, which was not the sun, moon or stars, but it appears to be a temporary light lasting for the same amount of time as a day until the sun, moon and stars were created. Jesus confirmed that there are 12 hours of daylight and therefore 12 hours of night, ergo, 24 hours makes up one day. Also, it is what was created on the earth that is 6,000 years old, including mankind. You will not find anywhere within the 6 days of creation that states that he created the earth, but the things on it, as well as everything out in the cosmos. If you will notice, before God started creating, scripture states the earth was without form an empty and completely covered with water and therefore it was already here. Because of this, we have no way of knowing how old the earth is. But one thing is for sure and that is that the earth was here first and the sun, moon and all of those stars were all made for the earth and its inhabitants.

Oops. You're right. And 2600BC is only a few hundred year off the mark.

You're not making any sense. Our new resurrected bodies will be physical realities. And the rest of your post still makes little sense. As for Science, it's not the enemy. But perhaps we should have a perspective that works outwards from the Bible? ;)

God himself provided the light before He created independent light sources on the 4TH DAY.

It still doesn't allow for millions and billions of years. Not if you're going to be honest about what the Bible teaches to be true.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (the universe) - space, time, matter. Then He took that matter He'd created and formed it in space and time and He filled the Earth with birds and fish and animals and Adam and Eve. Time must exist for there to be a beginning. So Earth is young.

No, YOU would rather question those who believe otherwise than to do the research to find out why we believe this. There is only one reason you don't know he answers to your questions -- you haven't done any research to find the answers.

Since you won't do it yourself, it's a waste of my time and energy telling you, because you've already made your conclusions and what I say won't change your mind. Logic obviously doesn't influence you.

I haven't believed in evolution since I was 14. I stopped believing it because I investigated further than my "science" and "history" textbooks taught me. I still believed in old earth. (Not as old as evolutionists think, but much older than Young Earthers believe.) I've slowly been changing my mind on that belief because of the evidence I keep seeing while I read evolutionists' thoughts, and what Christian scientists believe. I'd still be stuck on evolution if I gained my knowledge the way you've chosen to do it -- by forming an opinion about what was taught to us and then playing I-told-you-so at people who HAVE done the research.

So don't blame it on "people would rather" when it's obvious YOU would rather.

Proof you haven't even done the basic studying on this one -- read Genesis 1. And yet you presume to blame "people?"

There is one more thing to think about. Did God create the earth like it was totally new, or did he create things with form and substance, like mountains, oceans, rivers, etc. In other words, on Day 1, did the earth like it was new, or were there a lot of geomorphic features that could have been from any age or time, including today?

Because there is no reason God should not have created a hospitable place, with land and water structures that are similar to the present. If that is true, on Day 1, it could have looked like the earth was billions of years old, even though it wasn't. Or, it could have looked brand new. The fact is most land forms are created quickly, despite what evolutionary geologists have been trying to tell us.

Surtsey, a volcanic island near Iceland erupted in 1963, and kept erupting till 1967. Despite the claims of evolutionists, this island is now rapidly disappearing, and should be below sea level by the turn of the century. Another interesting item, is within months of the eruption, the rocks on the beach were rounded pebbles. Long earth evolutionists insist that it takes centuries for this kind of mass wasting to happen to rocks, but the actual evidence is that the entire geological processes of this island are more rapid than any models could have predicted.

So how old was Surtsey when it was 10 or 20 years old? It looked like millions of years, but the fact is, the evolutionary model was simply wrong.

Surtsey and the birth of new islands | Earth | EarthSky

Amen

If your going to create a world in a way it can be lived, used and cultivated, You must create it in an "aged" or usable state.

What good would the world be to Adam and eve and all the animals and plants if it was created then we had to wait thousands or millions of years for it to make itself ready for life?

I think the problem we have is people do not believe God is that powerful He can make light apart from the sun and stars he can make soil ready to receive and grow and feed life..

The problem with the world being 6000 year old is that we have archaeological evidence of sites which go back well beyond that, e.g. Jericho for one which goes back 9000 years +/_ 1000 years.
