Are you looking for me to say that JESUS IS LORD? Jesus certainly is Lord. :)
And bow your knee too..because every knee will bow as well! I love to bow my knees unto our Father when I petition Him. I also love to bow my knee to Him when I sin and tell Him I believe in what His Son did for me.

It's an endless adventure this true Christian life in Christ our Lord!

Amen brother! Philippians 2:9 - Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. :)

What I am trying to get you to see, is what it means to have the Son of God in you, or Christ in you. Many may confess God, as did the Pharisees, but yet they denied the Truth of God's words spoken by the Son. This was because they did not have the Living Word of God and Spirit of Truth abiding in them, or Christ in them.

It was the Word of God that David called Lord, and it was the words of God that David ever saw before his face and that was also bound about his right hand. This is the sign of being sealed in the forehead with the law and testimony of God by the Holy Spirit.

Clearly the scribes and the Pharisees had the written words of God, and they said they believed, but yet they did not have the Living Word of God dwelling in them, or else they would have believed the Truth by the indwelling Spirit, as God's Word and Spirit is Truth.

John 8:36-43 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.[SUP]37 [/SUP]I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
[SUP]38 [/SUP]I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
[SUP]40 [/SUP]But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
[SUP]41 [/SUP]Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
[SUP]42 [/SUP]Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
[SUP]43 [/SUP]Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

How could the Pharisees have the Spirit of Truth in them before the Spirit was even given? Things changed after the Cross!

Jesus was simply revealing their need to have a new heart and they were trying to "maintain" their own self-righteousness/holiness which is why they didn't believe in Him nor the truth of having to depend on Him for everything which is why they ignored His words to them.

The word of truth is to believe on Jesus and His completed work for us for salvation in going to be with Him forever.

John 7:39 (NASB)
[SUP]39 [/SUP] But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Nonsense, the prophets in the OT spoke by the Spirit of Christ, which is the same Spirit of Truth.

1 Peter 1:11
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

So, do you figure they were born-again like believers in Christ are after the Cross?....were they sealed with the Holy Spirit like in the new birth in Christ?...or was the Spirit of Christ ( which we know is the Holy Spirit ) that was in the prophets just there anointing them when they were writing the scriptures of the things to come?

Old Testament believers had the Spirit of God come upon them and, according to this verse, within them. But this is not the same as New Testament believers having the Holy Spirit dwelling permanently on the inside.

The Holy Spirit came and went only upon select people in the Old Testament, but in the New Testament, all believers have the Spirit of Christ in them now sealed forever in Him.

So, the Pharisees wouldn't have the Holy Spirit in them unless they were writing scriptures which we all know that was n unlikely bird!

It is the same Spirit of Christ who seals both Old and New Testament believers with the law and testimony written on their hearts and minds.

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

SHOULD not perish- if you believe you SHOULD get saved.
Amen!

(Rom 10:9)
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Eternal life is the quality of life that God alone possesses. To "know" God is to be spiritually united with Him. And by being spiritually united with God we share in His life....eternal life....life that has no beginning and no end.

(1John 5:11)
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

eternal - never ending,
life (spiritual life)

It should be self explanatory, But sadly, Satan has twisted the words to mean something else. instead of taking them at face value..
(1John 5:20)
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Eternal life is NOT a never ending life: for all mankind will have never ending lives, whether they believe in Christ or not! Eternal life thus, is the life that the Godhead posses

1John 1:3
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us:
and truly
our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

John 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love
him,
and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist,
that denieth
the Father and the Son.

1John 2:23
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:
[(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father
also].

John 17:23
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect
in one;
and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them,
as thou hast loved me.

John 17:3
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ,
whom
thou hast sent.

1 John 1:2
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness,
and shew unto you
that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us)

Heres a few showing the Father and Son the the fellowship of them

Your Posting is certainly Patriotic. Pity you forgot the Stars and Stripes.

(John 5:39)
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

It's not only his quality as the quote Sarah just said " shall not perish but SHALL HAVE ever lasting life "

Everlasting life only comes to those who believes as the verse that Sarah said. Those who do not believe are dead they are they are the old in order to go to the kingdom we must become new creatures we must accept Jesus as our lord and savior.

Christians have eternal life because we have the One in whom is eternal Life, Jesus Christ.

1 John 5:12 - "He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life."

REV. 2:7.
He that has an ear, let him hear what The Spirit says unto the churches:
To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the Tree of Life,
which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.'

I once had a Catholic priest tell me that the Greek word for "know" in 1 John 5:13 does not necessarily equate to absolute certainty.
Exactly why he will bust hell wide open when he takes his last breath (more than likely)......if their is no certainty in ETERNAL life based upon faith into the finished work of Christ then ALL will snap, crackle and pop!
