God is not designing a difficult path that we should jump through just the right hoops for His enjoyment with His commands to mankind, they are there to keep Life, and guard from death. God is wise in all things He knows good and evil, Life and death. if we look at the first command in eden, we see how things went awry for us. God is not arbitrarily forbidding the fruit, He already knows it will kill man. just as all of His commands are, they are for our Life, blessing, protection because as He has established sin is death. He is right, and good and for us, He was from the very beginning.

the deception really was to turn mans mind against that truth, God is good and for us. God gives the command and we know that eve knew Gods word, she had no reason to doubt the truth. the serpent knows this command will keep mans life but in it he sees death. when God decreed "you will surely die" He is thinking finally I can kill Gods beloved because of the condition "do not do this or you will surely die" it is Life from God, and twisted into death by His enemy. if you examine all of the law, you see how good and right it is ( not the punishments, but the laws themselves) everything He said is right and for the good of man.

we are no good under that law, because in our minds we see it as God is arbitrarily bossing us around we think he is keeping something good from us. Just like the deception. he says " surely you wont die, it will make you like God, knowing good and evil." he lies about death and makes the fruit appear good for wisdom as if God is lying to keep something good from them. this is how sinners view sin, we are deceived. we crave it, deep down we think surely theres no harm in it, ill enjoy it, experience is good, pleasure. God is just keeping me under His thumb ect. in simplicity, the deception changed the view of God from Good and for man, to against us.

He surely is to be revered He is all mighty and has shown His wrath and anger many times. But when we really step back and see, He has always been for us, the punishments are to teach man that sin is death. So why is it that "we are new creations in Christ" and still hold that view of we don't have to obey Him? that cannot be from the Lord, surely He is the same, still for us, His will is that we Live and are blessed. we must renew our minds concerning His commands and all He is saying to do, it is right, good, it is life to hear and accept His word as true and also to do it because we believe it is good and right and for us.

duet 30:11-16"Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?” No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess."

john 14:21-23 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me."

this is not to start yet another grace v perceived works debate I think were all fed up with the circles. simply, Gods ways are the right thing to do, they are Life.......

All glory belongs to the Lord Our God and to His Son, Jesus Christ who gave us His spirit to walk in the ways of life. Gods commands are good, the enemy is the one telling us they aren't......they are for us.......

To abstain from sin is what pleases God,for God wants people to dwell with Him,that hates sin,and hates the appearance of evil, and loves righteousness, and goodness.A peculiar kind of people, where the world thinks it is strange that they do not run to the same excess of rioting that they do.

God does not like the sin of the world, that Jesus shed His blood to take away our sins, and all those not in the truth, are in trouble, but God is not going to care so much about those that confess Christ,if they sin,as if they have an excuse, when Jesus said those that have not heard the truth, but do wrong, shall be beat with few stripes, but those that know the truth, but do wrong, shall be beat with many stripes.

That is why Jesus went against the Pharisees so tough, for they were religious leaders that should of known better, for He went against them calling them hypocrites, because they were not even abiding by the Old Testament correctly.

The more you know concerning truth, the more in trouble you will be in if you do not abstain from sin, which Jesus said, whomever much is given,of him shall much be required.

The more you know the more responsibility is put upon you to do what is right, and abstain from sin.

The world that did not come to the truth, will be beat with a few stripes,or if they rejected the truth, will be beat with a little more stripes, and those that accept truth, but has not learned that much, will be beat with even more stripes, and those that know a great deal of truth, how God hates sin, will beat with many stripes,if they do not abstain from sin.

All these people did not abstain from sin,and the more we know that God hates sin,and is not tolerated, but do not do right, the more punished we will receive.

That is why Paul was given a thorn in the flesh,so that he would not get exalted because of the abundance of revelations God showed him,for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. If Paul were to turn from the truth, and do the things of the world,he would of been in a whole lot more trouble, then those that rejected Christ.

Everybody knows that God hates sin.Everybody, and it cannot be escaped.Whether they never heard the truth, rejected the truth, confessed Christ, but did not receive the Spirit,or received the Spirit, but went back to the beggarly elements of the world.

Everybody knows that God hates sin,but some people want to make an excuse that it is alright, and God tolerates it,whether the world,oh we are not perfect, which even some people claiming Christ say that,or they say we are not under the law,as if their wrongful lifestyle does not stop them from having a relationship with God.

Creation testifies that there is a higher power, and of His attributes, which one of them is love, for He provided food, and the means to make clothing, and shelter,so they are without excuse, for if that higher power created all things, and loves people, then people should love people.

This law applies to everyone that is on earth, from the time of Adam and Eve,until God puts down the beast kingdom.

This means everybody knows God hates sin,and they are without excuse, and some people when they knew God,did not want to glorify Him as God,but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

The Old Testament even adds further proof that God hates sin.

The New Testament adds even further proof that God hates sin, that He gave His human body to take away sins, and the availability to have the Spirit to abstain from sin.

Everybody knows that God hates sin,and the more you know God hates sin,the more you are in trouble if you do wrong in sin,but a lot of people claiming Christ will make an excuse that they can sin,and still have a relationship with God.

Whether a hypocrite,or not, they know that God hates sin, they know God hates sin with a passion, and they are going to do it anyway.Even if they think it is alright to sin,and be right with God,knowing that God hates sin so much, and they are going to sin anyway.

We all know God hates sin, from the time of Adam and Eve,to when God puts down the beast kingdom,we all know God hates sin.Even if we make excuses for our sin,and think we can still be right with God,we all know God hates sin,so why do we sin,and how can we have an excuse.

Under that circumstance it is obvious God wants us to abstain from sin to be right with Him,and if not abstaining from sin you are not right with Him.Bottom line.

God is not going to hate the sin of the world, where people in the world are in trouble if they do not come to the truth, and then let the saints get away with sin,and be right with Him,and they should know better than that.

That is what the Spirit is for,to cause us to abstain from sin,to stay away from sin that God did not like in the first place, before people were saved spiritually.

Luk 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
Luk 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Those that never heard the truth, beat with a few stripes. Those that rejected the truth, beat with a little more stripes. Those that confessed Christ, but did not receive the Spirit,so they were not of Christ, beat with more stripes than the first two. Those that confessed Christ, and received the Spirit, but went back to the worldly ways, beat with the most stripes out of all four scenarios.

The people that were truly saved,if they go back to the worldly ways, will have it worse than the other three cases. If we are truly saved,we are supposed to know better than anybody that God hates sin,and to abstain from sin.

1Co 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
1Co 9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

But sin can be forgiven, but when we die we better be led of the Spirit, and if we dabble in sin it is a gamble with our spiritual life, for who knows when one will perish,or get caught up too much in the world, and not make it back.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

You may notice below that I have changed the order to help.

Mark 12:

32 "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.
33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

Mark 12:

28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

For anyone who needs me to say, you may compare from above 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' to what you may look at below.

A way of looking at Matthew 7:12

So in everything, do/say to others what you would have them do/say to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

You are totally wrong mpaper345. Everybody will hear the Truth. Not just some, but everybody.

The punishment for those who reject the Truth is the same for everybody. There is no lesser or greater punishment.

All who have rejected God will spend Eternity in the Lake of Fire receiving the exact same punishment that Satan and his angles will receive.

Why are you teaching man's lies as Truths from God?

Revelation 20:11-15
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. [SUP]12 [/SUP]And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. [SUP]13 [/SUP]And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. [SUP]15 [/SUP]And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Christians are not under the mosaic law at all. you see to say "law" includes all of the law. there are around 400 laws in the law of moses. some of them include stoning children to death when they curse their parents, and stoning others for their sin, their are laws for what to eat ect. the perfect law of God is found in Jesus Christ and all he taught. if a person is following Jesus, sin dies and we gain victory and are made into righteous people that have no issues doing the right things. we learn from Jesus the Lord the things he taught and all of the law is kept as we do that. Jesus took away many of the laws in his Grace and mercy.

you are right about God hates sin and sin will destroy life. but Christians are not under the mosaic Law, that is Judaism, the law remains even today to lead the world to Jesus, when you acceopt Him as Lord, you follow His commands, knowing He died and shed His blood to fulfill the death we all deserve under law. you can never lose sight of the forgiveness that was in the law, and much more that is in Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the altar of the cross. this does NOT mean we are free to sin, but through Jesus we are free FROM sin, we no longer have to follow sin, we have the choice to follow Jesus and put sin to death on the cross by following Hois commands.

it has to all go through Jesus and what He taught. we are not to stone others even when they sin, that is law, we are redeemed from all the curses in the law. Jesus came and perfected the law His words are the words that will keep the law for us. if we are following Jesus, we are not under the law of moses, but we are "In Christ" if He is the Lord, and we believe Him, we will obey. if it is lip service, we will not obey Him we will remain lord of ourselves. it truly is all about faith, real faith in Christ. the very moment someone SINCERELY acknowledges He is the Lord, then what He says is the Lord speaking if hes the Lord, we will accept His authority. the moment this is true in us this faith. we start the walk of obedience, because we have faith in Him as the Lord. we don't have to be perfect to be acceopted By Jesus, He is calling sinners to repentance, and His commands are eternal Life.
