Dear all beloved Christians. Why do some believers honestly think that we are in end of the world or end times stuff.

What do you think? To me everything is normal in this world. I don't see any end in sight. Does the bible really speak about the end?

Theologically speaking, we have been near the end since either the Resurrection of the fall of Jerusalem. I still can't make my mind up about that one!

Meaning, yes we are always to be prepared. And no, we should not be reading into Scripture some of the outrageous things that doomsday sayers are coming up with! And not happening! Can you say Left Behind in 1988, 1989, etc! Or wasn't Hagee predicting the end last year because of 4 blood moons? I guess those are known as false prophets!

Sometimes, I think people are depressed, and don't understand that Jesus is not going to provide an escape from this world of sin, until he is ready! Because this world is what God created for us, even though it is fallen, and our job has always been to "occupy" till he returns, not sit looking up at the sky.

Great Question! Scripture describes the End in many places--Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Matthew 24, and some of Paul's epistles. For ages, hopeful Christians have read current events into End Times prophecy, creating many false alarms and skepticism. But the End will come. When? Scripture gives signs, many of them quite specific and useful...

ISRAEL

The #1 sign is that Israel is now partially returned to the Land, in partial control of the Temple Mount. The tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin are back, but the other ("lost") tribes are not yet. But God has not forgotten them, and they will return before the End (Ezek 37:19). This ingathering is still underway.

DANIEL
In the End Times, Daniel's prophecies will finally be understood. In Daniel 12, Daniel is told to "seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase" when "none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand". In the End Times, many will finally understand Daniel's prophecies and visions, as they have not before.

Just think of it. Daniel clearly foretold the advent of Jesus (Dan 9:25-26). Matthew quotes just about every OTHER messianic prophecy in support of Jesus' Messiahship, but not a single one from Daniel. Isn't that strange? Like as in off-the-charts strange? But Daniel says that his prophecies would not be understood until the time of the End, not the time of Messiah. And that's exactly what happened.

There is a lot of prophecy and vision in Daniel, and some of it has not been understood until very recently. Most of it is still not revealed, though. This is an extremely exciting sign.

TEMPLE
Also, a functioning Temple will exist in Jerusalem, with the sacrificial system restored. This has not yet happened, but there are well-funded groups preparing for this.

There are probably another dozen or so important signs of the End, but these are for my money the most concrete, specific ones.

The term “last days” leading toward the term "last day" used together acknowledge the second resurrection and end to the world, judgement day, is used to speak of “perilous times”.

The term “last days” is used throughout the scriptures 8 times for that purpose..

Genesis 49:1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the 'last days".

2Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the "last days" perilous times shall come.

It is used, marked from the beginning of the reformation when the veil was rent and the new government was restored till another time period like that of the Judges. It is represented by the new order found in 1 Corinthians 11 in respect to the new priesthood of all believers. The old priesthood would go into the building to symbolize the coming of Christ. The new priesthood made up of all the nations of the world to include the Jews are to go out into the whole world to make disciples of Christ after the gospel of our salvation.

This in regard to the period of Judges is when there was no outward form to be used as types and shadows on till Christ came in the flesh . It is marked by the perilous time we are in. That time period the” last days” is represented by the word thousand in a thousand years. Christ will come like a thief in the night similar to the time period before the flood.

John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the “last day”.

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the “last day”.

Some say the last days represents a literal thousand years while others see the word thousand as it is used in parables to represent an unknown of whatever is in view and this case for time . The beginning of the last days began nearly over two thousand literal years ago.

We know we are at the end time, for God is giving the world 7 years to have their way,and cause all people that do not love Him to follow the beast kingdom, and take the mark of the beast, for God has to one day put an end to this sin business.

God said He is going to gather all nations together to go against Jerusalem, the Jew,Israel.

Advanced technology and travel lets us know that we are at the end time, for it is because of that the world can communicate with each other to come to one mind to come together, trying to solve their problems,in which they slowly cut God out of the picture, which when the world comes together saying,Peace and safety, the saints will not be deceived, for they will know it is not the operation of God.

Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Dan 12:5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
Dan 12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Daniel did not understand the book that was given him,but when they get to the end time they will understand, because of advanced technology, and advanced travel, because they can see what the world is doing, and that they are coming together, and bad things will happen as a result.

Are we not pretty close to living out 2 Timothy 3?

[h=1]1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.[/h]2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1 Peter 1:17-21 If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

We're in the last times; God said it (through Peter), and I believe it...

"But about the day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, or the Son, but the Father alone."

So when the end will come, I don't know. However, I do know that it will come, for the Lord has said so (this prophecy stuff seems so easy! ;) ).

One of the things I've noticed as a major change is how knowledge is being passed around these days. In a matter of minutes major news is broadcast all over the world. So is the Word of God (the Gospel) The Good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is going out all over the world like never before. The internet and cell phones and tv and radio and satellites. Knowledge increasing like never before.

Also, the stuff going on in the Middle East and how yet again Israel is in the news as usual. Just like the Bible tells us before Jesus coming. We have a lot to look forward to. Each Fall and Winter I wonder if Jesus will come during Christmas. Each year it is something I personally think about during Christmas.

I'm looking forward to seeing Jesus come for us. While going about the day and going to work
I'm encouraged by it all because the changing times and world events point to His coming. And this part of the Bible is very comforting and encouraging for many believers who are looking for His coming.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Now also we would not have you ignorant, brethren, about those who fall asleep [[SUP][a][/SUP]in death], that you may not grieve [for them] as the rest do who have no hope [beyond the grave].
[SUP]
14 [/SUP]For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through Jesus those who have fallen asleep [[SUP][b][/SUP]in death].
[SUP]
15 [/SUP]For this we declare to you by the Lord’s [own] word, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede [into His presence] or have any advantage at all over those who have previously fallen asleep [in Him [SUP][c][/SUP]in death].
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. :D
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord! :D
[SUP]
18 [/SUP]Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words. :D

Now that was funny! I have it with Kraft mac and cheese. Got kids so we eat a lot of it. I never said a word, but I thought it. It just wasn't as creamy and something changed. I figured it was something I did. But I pretty much quit eating it. Then one day, I read on the box something close to this," we changed our ingredients and preservatives and nobody seemed to notice! We have submitted to the worlds standards and now are giving you stuff that tastes like CRAP!"

What do you think? To me everything is normal in this world. I don't see any end in sight. Does the bible really speak about the end?
How do you define normal? I assume this is a genuine posting and that you have a limited knowledge of the Bible. I suggest you go to a Christian Book Store or sign up with Amazon and buy a book on the subject or better still buy one that covers all the teachings of the Bible. Try to avoid any of the more Sensational books on the last days. Perhaps you could obtain advice from your Pastor or Church leader on what to buy.

1)The International Bulletin of Atomic Scientists believe we at very high risk of ending human life on earth very, very soon.
2)
CNN reported two weeks ago that American intelligence agencies are certain that the US's (UK's and other western nations) very existence is at stake because there are enemy(I don't consider any country my enemy) submarines of our coasts each with over 160! nuclear warheads. Just one of those submarines can destroy the USA.

Matthew 24:22 "Unless those days were cut short no flesh would survive.."

So it is clear many of the world's most informed secular organizations believe the End of the world can happen any minute -not just Christians.

More importantly it shows that the Bible is correct and true- only a red button being pushed accidently or in fear remains a final proof.

The end can come 20 minutes after I post this or 15 years from now. But...

Acts 1:7
describes Jesus telling his disciples that they cannot know exactly when the end is- so keep witnessing about me he says.

So I think it is amazing that the Bible was right about the state of the world and we should use our precious time strengthening the Church and spreading the Good News.

Considering that planet Earth is billions of years old, if the end is centuries away, we can say it is very near.

Because a lot of the signs given in the Bible about what would be happening just before the Day of the Lord are happening now.. So if the signs of the return of the LORD Jesus Christ are happening then it logically then goes that the LORD Jesus Christ will soon return..
