Base, your attempt at biblical hermeneutics is deplorable. Please, take your nonsensical posts elsewhere. You're stinking up the forums. It's not all about the Base. No trouble.

"And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears"
And did you teach yourself how to read?

Try using John 8:44 to interpret Genesis 1:1 and see how easy it is... especially the parallel "the beginning"

No, actually yours is.

So is your attitude.

Please, take your nonsensical posts elsewhere. You're stinking up the forums.
Why don't you?

If there's anyone stinking up the place, it's most obviously you.

It's not all about the Base. No trouble.
Whatever your problem is, you need to take it elsewhere.

Either learn how to debate like an intelligent person, or keep your ignorant ad hominins to yourself.

Seriously, man. You have issues.

Base: Be brave and trust Nobody.

Trust Nobody? Not even you? Or trust no-one, except you? I don't have the desire, nor the time to lower myself to your level of conspiracy whackery. So...

Anyhooo...

While the others are derailing and tossing more ad hominems, I'll just go ahead and stay on topic.

Chuck Missler is one of my favorites when it comes to comparing Science and Scripture.

He does a fantastic job on Genesis...

I found this article when I was writing about the book of Genesis and it is an incredible read. They align the days of creation up with what contemporary science says about the origins of the Earth. Since I used to be an atheist, this is very interesting to me, actually incredible. IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE.

I studied a whole semester on Faith and Science and I think some people think it will shake their faith in the Bible, but it makes mine stronger because our Earth needed a Creator and that Creator is a Triune God. God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit! AMEN!!

Genesis And Science: More Aligned Than You Think? | The Huffington Post

The Bible tells us the creation was about 6,000 years ago not billions of years.

The Huffington post is atheistic in nature and all their science is in the self interest of evolution which could not possibly happen.

Seek Jesus Christ and study 1 Cor 15,1-4 his gospel. The Holy Bible is a divinely designed, written, inspired collection of 66 books penned by 40+ authors over 2500+ years.

Example: Revelations in the NT has some 400 verses 200 of which refer to the OT. There are many other examples but if you will simple accept Jesus Christ as your savior and listen to the Holy Spirit you will receive upon your Acceptance of Jesus Christ, You will be among those that will be with Christ in Heaven.

One other thought. If you truly want to learn about the Bible, there is a large numbers of scholars/wisemen..wisewomen on this site that will try to answer any question you might have. After listening to them follow Acts 17:11 KJV.

DamaraXD,

Glad you're saved and studying about creation.

Although there may be several ways to interpret Genesis which still remain within Christian Orthodoxy, I don't believe any interpretation that includes biological evolution can be considered orthodox, or even reasonable.

Evolution isn't tenable for many reason; I'll only mention a couple.

1. Precision and clarity of scripture:
The scripture does state, very clearly, over and over, that God "created".
And everything he created was fully developed, fully formed, and immediately existent.

This act of immediate and full creation is also shown in other passages of scripture.

God's acts of creation appear many places in scripture, over and over, and they are very simple, and clear, and without any grammatical indication they should be allegorical.

So from looking at the text, we see creation is mentioned many times very clearly, and there is nothing in the text to indicate it's allegorical. So the text is very clear.

2. Logical consistency:
There are also some very simple logical and philosophical proofs.

In science there is a logical necessity for SOME KIND of "first cause", or "prime mover".
If we recognize God as the "prime mover" who created all, and who created the vastness of the entire universe out of NOTHING... then what a SIMPLE TASK it would be for him to also create a few plants and animals!

So, theistic evolution is not only contrary to the biblical text, it's also just silly.
If you already believe in God, an all-powerful being who could create the entire universe, then he wouldn't break much of a sweat by tossing out a few plants and animals!

There are countless explanations and proofs available in virtually ALL of the sciences, as well as in philosophy and logic.

There is NO lack of science and evidence for creation... there is only a lack of people choosing to believe what they see.

Jesus even talked about how strong people's unbelief is.
Jesus said that people would HOLD to their unbelief even in the face of CLEAR & UNMISTAKABLE EVIDENCE.
Luke 16:31 "And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."

A funny thing about Adam and Eve...

The 'Fall of Man' is something that is often debated...

"The fall of man, or the fall, is a term used in Christianity to describe the transition of the first man and woman from a state of innocent obedience to God to a state of guilty disobedience"

"Although not named in the Bible, the doctrine of the fall comes from a biblical interpretation of Genesis chapter 3"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_of_man

Let's study this a bit.

Do you know anything about the Double Slit Experiment?

Basically, nothing exists until it is observed.

It bothered Einstein greatly.

Thus, if there were no Observer in the Garden of Eden before the Fall, then no "Matter" would exist.

Ah! But if we could 'trick' a being that existed outside of Matter to 'observe'... what would happen?

Enter the Forbidden Fruit...

Genesis 3:7
"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons"

And Bam!, just like that, Adam and Eve became the first beings to 'observe' the Wave Function, thus collapsing it.

We call it... The Big Bang.

Chuck Missler is great, but I don't know where he stands on the first 11 chapters of Genesis. Judging from what I've watched of him, it would seem he's a 'progressive' creationist. But I could be wrong.

Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
