My friend, your interpretation is one view.
All I can testify to is the Lord makes us the holy temples of the Holy Spirit.
How can this be if we are not Holy, washed and clean.

Our perception of holiness and purity are not Gods. Can you see what God
calls clean, who are we to say is not clean?

Yet you already are prepared to do this. It is easier to do, because it removes
obligation or disappointment, and gives us this dull grey hopelessness that dwells
in our hearts, depression and all is hopeless, just a slow decline into the abyse
of the rapture and the beast coming to dominate enforcing the evil NWO.

My life is actually a discovery of Christs love setting people free, of new relationships,
of joy breaking out where hurt and rejection used to rule. Listen to the words of worship
we sing, they are full of forgiveness and healing that His blood gives us.
Nay Tis easier to proclaim one's self to be holy, pure, and love Jesus, than to admit to oneself that one is a sinner,"for all have come short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:27)
and accept Jesus as saviour, and acknowledge that one "NEEDS" God,making somewhat of an oath to God to strive to right by him, many proclaim they are some great thing or that to love Jesus is all a person needs to do,or even warp scripture to their liking,For a person would rather believe a lie than the truth, because if the truth doesn't fit their lifestyle or view, then they can't keep to it,I am not so foolish as to think myself as Holy or Pure because I am not an innocent child, neither God,nor an angel, only these are Holy and Pure of heart, not any man or woman upon this earth, for if any are Holy or Pure of Heart, what need they Jesus's crucifixion and cleansing?
Was Jesus's sacrifice of himself for our sin useless?
God forbid
Who amongst this world is perfect who hath not sinned that they may be called Holy?
Who doth not have wicked imaginations of the heart after they are no longer a child, that they may be called Pure of Heart?
No Man nor Woman can consciously declare these things to be true of themselves lest they lie and do wrong by God.
God's word is like a fire unto one's soul, how can one think it so easy to speak of it when what commandment or statute hath God given that is simple to abide by?
Tis a hard thing to work for the lord for they who do shall be mocked, scourged, and chastised for his name sake.
The fool sayeth in his heart that there is no God,Tis easier to not believe than to realize what is so.
The foolish sinner is gleeful to go against God for they desire not but themselves, even speaking blasphemy of his name and his word.
What is man's origin that he can claim that he is any comparison to God or his only begotten son,was not he made from earth and brought alive by being breathed into by God?
All that openeth the womb is holy and is the lord's.
Lest a man be born again having the faith of a child he shall not see heaven.
To serve God and Trust his word is not "easy" it is likened to walking in the midst of a desert with none but the lord for comfort,Tis not easy it is a path that requires extreme endurance.

I absolutely agree........all I know is the Spirit of God would not lead someone saved to say some of the thing he has said....especially the one about putting too much emphasis upon Jesus and not enough on ourselves........Satanic to the core.....
I am sorry for you dc.

You believe your emphasis is so right and mine so wrong, I am satanic and you are
walking with Christ.

Let me take your reasons for saying this.
1. Covering sin, not repenting or confessing it is ok because Jesus forgives you
2. Jesus does everything the believe does not have to do anything

For me to object to these two theological positions is satanic.

You know when the pharisees concluded Jesus was satanic because He claimed
to be the Messiah and be able to forgive sins, you have fallen into the same trap.

It unfortunately is not a place people ever seem to get out of.

It is more than that, for the deliberate way he constantly tells others they are unsaved while he continually speaks with a forked tongue is disgusting. For instance, pretending that while we rest in Christ, we are doing nothing, and giving ourselves license to sin, but when he rests in Christ, praise the Lord and hallelujah, amen, and wow isn't it too bad we are so lost that we are incapable of walking after Christ like he does, for when he sins, he is covered? :p

Yet here we are almost 2 years later, And he is still aloud to ramble on this stuff.. And new people wonder why we are being so mean to him..

What I don't understand about what he says about putting too much on Jesus and not enough on ourselves is... isn't that what we are supposed to do? Bring all our problems to Jesus? If we put it all on ourselves and leave Jesus out of the equation entirely, then we will fail miserably. BUT if we take whatever problem or issue to Jesus, then HE helps us handle it. :)
Blue - You are right. What I am focusing on is we need to do our part in Christ,
in listening and following Him.

This is not a dump it all on Jesus, we are not part of the equation. Most of our
problems come from us not seeing our part in the situation, and responding
appropriately in the Lord and with the Holy Spirit.

Some actually rule out this aspect of spiritual reality, it is just them and God
and interaction with other individuals is kept to a minimum. This is not how
love works out in the believers life.

Joe, God bless you. I am not here to win are argument.
A lot of things in the walk, you learn through experience and revelations.
Many will just not be able to accept it.

I shared once about the emotional life of David. This was too much for one
couple. David having ups and downs, no way.

So if one loves the Lord and follows Him amen.
What came to me most recently was the level of unbelief people were expressing.
And what I know about unbelief is it stops God working in ones life.

But blessing to you, and help you weaker brothers to take and uplift all, Amen

UGH.. *shudders*

Well, the strange part is, the majority of the fleas were inside my mattress and box spring.. They were 2 of the Big Lots specials..lol.. each one was one-sided, so the fleas had easy access. At first I thought they were only in the carpet, then I finally figured out where they were hiding so I threw out the mattress and box spring, got new ones and put protective covers over them. Funny part is, every time I checked Tequila, I only would see maybe only 2 or 3 on her, and the rest were in the carpet..lol.. I bombed the house, maybe 4 times, and had the exterminator come out twice and spray.. I FINALLY got rid of them.. thank God..
My mom had them so bad that she would come out wearing white socks and each foot would have 100 or more....I took her to the doctor and we ate at Steak and SHAKE....I watched one bounce off her, across the table and land on my arm....she would come in my house and I would have to spend an hour with a flash light catching them and drowning them in a tub of water and then bombed my house like three times.....it was baaaaaddd...I forbade her coming in my house until she took care of it....I, like you, absolutely hate and despise fleas.....

Please tell me where in the world do the word's "Jesus Spray" come from. Have I lived a sheltered life or; are these word's that PeterJen's has just made up in his mind. If this is a common phrase please tell me; who on earth would even dare mention the Son of God in such terms, just sayin'
It is a derogatory phrase coined by PeterJens to mock the imputed righteousness of Christ, those robed in such righteousness, along with their faith in said work.

This is why God gave some people Joel Osteen: as judgment upon them for embracing a false gospel, so he continues to scratch their itching ears by continuing to deceive them with a false gospel, all about them; 2 Timothy 4:1ff.

Yep, they heap teachers to themselves, after their own lusts. It has become all about them, what they want, their own lusts, covetousness and idolatry, thus God sent them a smiling false prophet to deceive them even further.

By the way, which Robert Hay are you referring to?
Well, don't they call ultrabrite the smiling profit, not prophet?

It's just one of many in his arsenal of derogatory comments meant to convey his disdain and condemnation.

Where did this picture come from? It summarises the attitude problem I am highlighting.
It is the idea life is full of problems and you get something to zap them out of existance
like any good discerning consumer might do.

Get a sin problem, do not worry, believe in Jesus and though you sin, God will not see
it.

It is really this absurd, but what is even stranger is there are believers who think this
is how God regards active, on going sin, that is destroying peoples lives and those
around them.

No wonder their churches are in some kind of stuck holding cycle.

And now back to the purpose of this thread...
"For by grace are ye saved through faith;and that not of yourselves:It is the gift of God:not of works, lest any man should boast"-Ephesians 2:8-9(KJV)

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
1 Peter 1:15-16

In the midst of your considerations, what do you think Peter the apostle is saying here.
When he say be holy in all you do, it sounds like you believe that is impossible because
you are never holy to begin with.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Cor 6:19-20

You are temples of the Holy Spirit. But again you are not Holy, so how could you
be a temple that must be Holy to be a temple of God, the Lord creator.

The problem is you know you live with self condemnation and disbelieve the very
words of scripture and those who knew Jesus face to face, and those who are
the highest authority in our faith.

I suggest you get before God your King and ask Him to show you.
It sounds to me as if some contributors are so far from the Lord it is not the word
of God or the Holy Spirit guiding them, but as they put it, no believer could say ....
which is neither biblical or true.

Now what do I gain by bringing this word to you? Nothing unless it is true and you
need to know the God you desire to follow. Humble yourselves and draw near to Him
and He will draw near to you. Ask and you will receive.

God answers prayer of a sincere seeking heart. I bring this to you from a sincere
seeking heart, so seek Him out, and find His reality. God bless you.

It is a derogatory phrase coined by PeterJens to mock the imputed righteousness of Christ, those robed in such righteousness, along with their faith in said work.
It is interesting if the response to a core belief upon which their resurrection from the dead
and life eternal hangs is, its a derogatory phrase.

It is like saying when someone points out a rope bridge upon which your life depends as fallen
to the valley floor below, says you are only pointing it out to mock those who rely on the
bridge to save their lives. Nope. It is to stop people falling to their deaths, that minor
unimportant point.

Jesus is my friend and Lord, the one who has lead me all my life and who has blessed me
in all I have done, and brought insight and wisdom into my life. Why would I want to
miss-lead or miss-guide anyone, especially not brothers and sisters in Christ who I love
and wish to encourage to walk closer and in deeper reality with Jesus.

But then the enemy always will send opposition to the moves of God, and they will
always slander the speak and be unable to oppose the message. So it has always been,
and so it will always be.

May the seeing see and the blind continue in their blindness.
