What kind of "works of righteousness" is there, EG? Can you name 4 or 5?

And, WHY are they CALLED "works of righteousness"?
If you think they are only works of the law your mistaken.

What differentiates a work of righteousness from a work of the flesh. Can the same deed be both?

Does anybody know an actual scripture that covers religious people bragging about their works? There's several:

Luke 18:9And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt: 10“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11“The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12‘I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ 13“But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14“I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Who's bragging? the pharisee. What kind of "works" was he bragging about? The works of the Law.

Jesus used this to make the point that the pharisees bragged about their "works" of the Law.

Where is there in scripture that says somebody bragged about their works as a christian?

Who in scripture was reproved in the church for depending on christian works? Nobody, because every single one was doing "works of the Law". Judiazers.

I would add that without God's grace, there would be no light drawing people to Himself.

Also some people chose to walk away but God decides to do something more in their lives to draw them back to Him. We call that grace and chastenment.
Very true i wasnt suggesting that the call comes only once in life but a uncountable number of times so that the phrase without excuse would definitely hold true.

And of course grace being the only meaning of everything. We are created in God perfect design. God wanted his children to have free will and knew what free will would bring. So from the very beginning he planned to save the world by sending his only son. All along God in his perfection and omniscient created a world with free will and a plan to make all who choose one day completely holy being the only way into Gods all holy presence, only by having a mediator between our unholyness and Gods righteous justification of sin.

Gee, I just asked a simple question. Can you give me some examples?
simple? It is not simple. I could say feed the poor. But that can also be a work of self righteousness, not righteousness. Or how about serve your neighbor? Or how about knowing what to do which is right, and doing it?/ All those could be works of righteousness, Yet all of those could also be self righteous deeds.

Which is why I asked y7ou what makes it different? Was the question to hard?

I think the only answers you will ever get are put downs, condescension, complaints,
criticism of some invented issue and a desire to get one banned or expelled or some
other pleasant remark. I mean it is a wonder how a few sentences can be made into
so much.

He made it with free will. But Adam forfeited free will. Since Adam we have had biased and prejudiced will. We are 'free' to choose among evils. We are not free to choose good.

We are free to choose good, just without God our selfish nature leans towards evil.

What is moral law then? You know the law that was written on the gentiles hearts. For it to be a law there must be something to be in opposing view of the law in order for a law to hold itself in a justifiable standard. There must be right and a wrong to call it a law.

Also you cant simply say free to choose but then say we are only free to choose to a limit. Thats unlogical.

EG little strong perhaps. So I lied about what? That you come out with strong responses
all the time, just like this one without provocation.

You accuse me of being proud, what am I proud of? And what do I need to repent of?
Maybe engaging with you as you are like a wet sponge that thinks himself a tough hard
ball, lol. I do love you, and how so very predictable you are. I think you should take
some of your own medicine and get over yourself. This is just a discussion forum,
not some heavy handed life and death struggle, except ofcourse maybe that how you
think about it. :) God bless you, may you find His peace and love in your heart,
like I have through the cross of Christ, and in my walk in His grace, Amen.

Really?

You acknowledge God says "Come as you are whether in rags or riches, be humble"

Then you say "God says Show me works and I will show you a wonder"

What is humble to you? To me David summed up what being humble means

Psalms 51:16-17
For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

To me it's a heart that realises that says there is nothing I can offer you other than my broken heart and contrite spirit, that is all have got to offer.

Isaiah 64:6
But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
Have taken us away.

Isaiah 55:1-3
Chapter 55
An Invitation to Abundant Life
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.
