It is interesting how repetitious some interactions become, and even defining their
ideas is not allowed. I do love the circus act though, it is like people lining up to be

Imagine a line of ideas


1. Only those who walk righteously without fault are saved.
2. Only those who have faith in Christ, and desire to walk after Christ but are working with failure
3. Only those who at some point have known Christ and faith
4. Everyone as they will all come to faith at some point

I like this idea, because it illustrates different people and their approaches.
Sinless perfection is an interesting idea or notion.
I have not met someone that in control of everything that this is possible, but to define
it is helpful. If Christ came to your front door and asked to come in, would you then say
here is a sinless perfect person.

But what does this actually mean. What are the characteristics that Paul encouraged people
to have that Jesus had, and which are definately not involved.

Now I ask because Jesus is our example, and we aspire to be like Him. With such an aspiration
would we not want to know what is He like?

yes well i suppose we have all swept a bit of dirt under the carpet from time to time... its called forgiving your brother instead of keeping the one person on ignor you hate the most peter jens...

I know all their doctrine derived from snippets of scripture taken out of context. Here is the 24/7 mantra played over and over daily.

There is none good, no not one, and it is to him that worketh not, beings that it’s HE that worketh in you, because mans’ heart is deceitfully wicked and who can know it, and it’s not of works lest any man should boast, hence all our works are but filthy rages anyway, therefore if we say we are not sinners we lie and the truth is not in us, so in conclusion we are not perfect just forgiven because there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus….Rinse and repeat….

This was all designed by stealth (while men slept deceitful workers crept in unawares, said the apostle Jude) through Reformation pundits and masters of rhetoric. It has become like bedrock cemented in their minds over the centuries and worsening in each generation as time passes. It’s done for the purpose of rejecting repentance and faith proven by deeds from heart purity. .I also find it interesting that first they claim they are saved by grace alone, and then say it’s by faith alone, thus implying the biblical dynamics of synergy of which they deny. Truly a mixed bag of nuts, no?...Everyone presupposes obedience in their daily lives, but when it comes to obeying God that all goes out the window in favor of the greasy grace gospel…..

The bible is replete with saved individuals who had works of wood, hay and stubble, but were still saved......a person is saved eternally by faith...after that they are judged by their works for reward or a loss of rewards......the works do not keep us saved and or embellosh salvation..

Well said bro! I might add that these are not unrighteous works. evil works done. The 'works of righteousness ' may also refer to the righteous works which the righteous (saved-Ephesiam Believers) does but that cannot saved, maintain to be saved or continue to save but only by the grace of God through faith, that they were saved.

Which sin is impossible to overcome?
1: Missuse of Gods name, 2: Honouring your parents, 3: no false testimony, 4: adultery, 5: theft, 6: covetousness, 7: loving your neighbour, 8: loving your enemy, 9: not lusting after the opposite sex, 10: not being greedy, 11: not being selfish, 12: no idolatry, 13: no hatred of fellow believers, 14: no lying, 15: not sexually immoral, 16: not being a drunk, 17: not a slave trader

Which of these 17 items that are too difficult to follow?
So if you follow these principles are you sinning or walking in righteousness?
If this is not walking in righteousness, why not? We are to walk in the light, and if
in the light you cannot bring out the right way to walk, but just talk generalities, it
is not true and pointless.

i agree JIMBO, however many seem to contend that all works of obedience by man toward God is filthy rags...of course that is not true..

Its like a wife who slaves in the kitchen, while laboring and preparing the home to be pleasant and clean, doing all she can out of sincerity to please her husband, and then the husband comes home and throws up his hands and asks; what are you doing? Don't you know that what ever you do to please me is just filthy rags....
