Faith in Christ pleases God. If you have not trusted Christ as Saviour, you can not please Him. All our righteousness is filthy rags. God is a Spirit, and we must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Without the Spirit, a person can not worship God.

Why? How does faith please God?
Hebrews 11: 6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

acts 13:22 "And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will."

Luke 11:9-10 "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. "

Faith seeks Gods Heart finding it abounding in Love for the seeker

What and who we place our faith in, reveals our heart. Not having faith in God demonstrates that we don't care about Him, don't trust Him, and have no confidence in Him. A faithful person doesn't cheat on the one they love, that would be adultery. A faithful person doesn't cheat on God, that would be idolatry. Its impossible to please God without faith in the same sense that an unfaithful spouse can't please their mate. Pledging your loyalty to God is necessary to please Him.

Why? How does faith please God?
There Is faith that someone for descriptive purposes might call a human type faith based on 5 sense knowledge where something Is only believed If It can be perceived.--->see,taste,hear,smell or feel.(like doubting Thomas)he would only believe If he could see and feel JESUS.

Then there Is faith that Is not based on a person's sense knowledge, but based on believing without seeing.

John 20:24-29
King James Version(KJV)

24.)But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25.)The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26.)And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27.)Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28.)And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God

29.)Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Faith pleases God because faith looks away from self and to the Savior. Faith is an act of self-renunciation and a declaration that our hope and confidence are in God. Faith puts no trust in man but in God. It declares that He is enough; He is sufficient; He is able. And it pleases God when he sees His children making known by the way they live that He is altogether glorious and abundant and worthy of their trust.

if you do not have faith in God. You would never accept his son, You will never do anything he says (james 2), You will never be in a relationship with him (his desire) and you will continue to be alienated from him.

Noah had faith, and he built an ark
Abraham had faith and he went to sacrifice his son
SO many examples of faith in scripture. Faith causes men and women to do things they normally would not do..

and finally, if you have faith in God, instead of welcoming you into his family to spend eternity with, He will have to say depart..

Christian faith receives the activity of God. As Paul said, "I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me" (Col. 1:29). God is an active God, and when we are available to Him through faith the active expression of Christ's life in us, will be producing good works through us. Works that God prepared in advance that we would do. Those are the only works that God finds pleasing.

How can love exist without Trust... Faith is trusting God..
Yes, faith involves, belief, trust, reliance and not merely intellectual acknowledgement.

Why? How does faith please God?
Because it requires the works of faith to come to the knowledge of the truth.

That is why believers claim to walk by faith and not by sight.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, then how did you hear that the LORD has no greater joy than to hear that his children walk in truth?

Here is what we learn about faith from chapter 11.

Faith is from the word πίστις which means 'to be persuaded.' The word is translated in the NT as both faith and belief and reflects two interlocking dynamics. The first is the mental acceptance of a set of facts. The second is the action that responds to that acceptance. Belief is the fundamental structure for salvation but belief is never presented in scripture as simply an intellectual exorcise and this is the point of chapter 11. Biblical faith is more than just a simple acknowledgement of a set of revealed truths. Faith is always presented as a behavior structure that actively responds to the word of God. James makes the point that faith apart from obedience to the will of God is not faith. Faith is legitimized only when it is linked to action. We see this in a number of examples given by the Hebrew writer in this chapter. He presents belief/faith as inseparably linked to active response that legitimizes what the mind has accepted as true. Without obedience to the will of God, there is no acknowledgement of faith. By faith those offered as examples of faith did what God commanded.

That passage is all about their works, works that were the result of their faith, and that were pleasing to God. Works as a result of their faith, not faith that was the result of their works.

Faith is not works. It is as you said, to be persuaded, or to add, it means to trust, to be convinced.

Abraham trusted God, had faith in God, was convinced God would keep his promise, Thus the result of that faith was works. Same with Noah and the rest.

Faith is more than just mere belief, Even demons believe, and tremble. Mental agreement is not faith. I may agree Obama was my president the last 8 years. It does not mean I had faith at him at all. Or ever did.

Man, religion is rampant. Pretty much every religion on the planet teaches what you teach.

Believe in a God, and be good. Believe in a God and do good things.

Christianity is wholly different. Christianity is trusting in a God that became a man, died for you and did all the work required for your salvation on the Cross.

Christianity is what Christ WORKED out for mankind. And trusting in His person and His WORK for salvation.

Faith is not Christ and what work/deeds/fruit I do.

Faith is Christ and HIS work/deeds/fruit.

Biblical faith pleases God because that faith is about His Son.

There are a lot of folks around who have faith that doesn't please God.....because that faith is about something other than His Son. Most of the time the faith we see around is faith that emphasizes "me,my I" rather than His Son.

Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Abraham believed God. We too must believe God. We must believe Gods word.

We are saved by grace but we receive grace by faith and that faith comes from the word of God. It pleased God to save all who call upon His Son Jesus Christ for salvation.

How else shall we please God? We can do nothing that will impress God. There is nothing that God lacks so we can offer Him nothing except to believe Him and by faith trust Him to care for us.

The Irony. Religion goes about and teaches that "easy believism" is someone who trusts in Christ alone for their salvation and not in works.

When in reality religion is "easy believism" I can subjectively say," I believe in Jesus and trust I did enough and trust I cleaned up enough to make my salvation." I am safe because I set the bar for myself.........thats pretty easy.

It is very hard to come to the end of oneself, know that the bar is perfection and trust wholly on someone(The Lord Jesus Christ) else for our salvation.
