Why? How does faith please God?
It is based on faith, for we have to believe in a kingdom we cannot see,for if we could see the kingdom,we would only believe, because we seen it,but there is evidence that it does exist without actually seeing it.
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is the evidence of things not seen, and by the Spirit we can see the kingdom spiritually, and know it does exist, but we have to believe in a kingdom we cannot see to begin our journey to see the kingdom spiritually,by the invisible things God does, and relates to us.
1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
We have to have faith and believe in a kingdom we cannot see,for if we could see it with the natural eye,we would only believe because we seen it,and faith is the evidence of things not seen, and eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man,the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
By the Spirit the evidence not seen is revealed to us,but what led us up to the point of having the Spirit to have the kingdom further revealed to us,is having faith to believe,by the word of God,which has prophesy, that testifies that God is true, creation testifies there is a God,and loves people, people's lives changed for the better, healings, and things of that nature.
Joh 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Blessed is he that has not seen Jesus, but still believes, because our salvation is based on faith, for if people seen Jesus they would only believe because they seen Him,but we have evidence it is true to confess Christ, and when we receive the Spirit then the evidence is furthered.
The atheist wants proof that God exists, which will never come, and they will not believe the evidence put forth, mainly creation testifies there is a God that loves people,so they are without excuse, and the word of God,which God said He proves He is the one true God,by showing the end from the beginning, which He showed the whole history of mankind, that no other religion or person can do.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
Of course the saint of God had faith before receiving the Spirit,by the natural witnesses that testify that God is true, but the Spirit furthers our faith by revealing the kingdom to us spiritually.
We have to have faith to believe in a kingdom that we cannot see with the naked eye,and believe in a God we cannot see with the naked eye,but faith is the evidence of things not seen,so of course we can believe without seeing, for there will be evidence that God does exist, and when we receive the Spirit, then the evidence is furthered to us giving us a more stronghold in faith.
