I Am the True Vine
Joh 15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vintner.

Joh 15:2 He cuts off every branch that does not produce fruit in me, and he cuts back every branch that does produce fruit, so that it might produce more fruit.

Joh 15:3 You are already clean because of what I've spoken to you.

Joh 15:4 "Abide in me, and I will abide in you. Just as the branch cannot produce fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.

Joh 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in me while I abide in him produces much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.

I'm posting this scripture because I don't want to interrupt the several threads going on about the subject, works, faith, fruit, etc.

If we are the branches, Jesus the Vine...who and what is the tree?

I've never heard this taught before...it came to me in a picture.

Then I received a poem from the Lord about sprouts. Didn't understand it...now I do.

I really think this would clear up a lot of things if we understand what Jesus is picturing for us in this portion of scripture.

The scriptures along with revelation from the Lord really does paint pictures.

This is the poem...I know not all like poems...not all read the section.

~A Fall Shoot is one that is born out of timeLeaves have fallen to earth,
trees are barren and dry..

Foretold promise now springs forth in life

Cool winds start their blowing
Dry leaves through the air
Senses wake to a fresh scent
Perfumed sweet and rare

But why would one pick this time
My heart questions...
Why not in Spring when all others are blooming?
Why choose a time when the plantings are dying?
A time that can only be shortened by
cold?

This is the season of newness in showing
My Sprout has been hidden from all others view
I've given the promise of it's re appearing
My Child look to earth, for the right time's drawing near.

Faith is the tree?

Faith is spiritual substance in the supernatural isn't it?

The vine is the tree. Jesus called Himself the true vine as opposed to the false vine of Israel (Is 5)

I agree there are two vines...but is not what I saw...nor is it the sprouts. I'm sorry to be so elusive...but I'm hoping someone will see this without me having to show it.

Vines don't have branches do they? Trees do. Do Vines in the middle east have branches?

I never saw a vine with branches...

The tree is the tree of life. We are hidden in God through Jesus Christ. The Vine grows up and securely around us keeping us safely in Him.

This was the picture He gave me....I'm not the only one who has had this vision. Another saw fruit and flowers all blooming out from the branches...

The poem? We are the sprouts of the tree...exactly like Jesus....and there are coming those who have been hidden in Him...as an army rising.

You're mixing metaphors. Jesus is the Vine of whom we are branches that He produces His good fruit through. Jesus is the Tree of life from whom we eat and so live. Those are pictures meant to convey spiritual truths. The character of God that the Spirit produces in and through us. And the eternal life that we have as partakers of the divine life of Christ.

I don't think I've seen a one branch vine, they grow and sprout other branches from the stalk.

No...am not. We are the righteousness of God in and through Jesus Christ.

The world has the potential of salvation. It is not the Fathers will that any be lost. We can actually say that all that have ever lived are potentially in the tree of life...have the Father...but must be secure in the Vine. Without the Vine...no fruit.

It has to do with being One with God..not as new age teaches but through the blood of Gods sacrificial lamb. We can through Holy Spirit be One...is the prayer of Jesus...His will that we come to this maturity of faith. Called perfect in the KJV.

Then...we live and move and have our being in Him. Action.
