The Lord Jesus Christ invented the imputed Righteousness of Christ doctrine.

You just don't understand it, yet.

There is an exchange. You can call it magic. Most Christians call that sort of thing a Miracle. Un-believers scoff...

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

What is this but an exchange? Your heavy burdens He takes and gives you His Rest. What all is given in His Rest? What is withheld?

If you are working for something you are trying to earn it. If you are trying to earn it you are lifting the weight yourself. You can't receive the Gift, you can't have the exchange if you don't believe that there is one to begin with.

If you received Salvation as a gift, if you received Righteousness as a gift, if you received Mercy and Forgiveness as a gift, wouldn't that cause your Faith in the One who gives those gifts to increase?

What other blessings is He willing to Give that we have not received because we think we must work to earn them?

For a while i thought the sinless doctrine crowd were simply trying to prove their beliefs but honestly I'm starting to think they are an elite troll group going to Christian forums to stir the pot- oh wait this isn't the conspiracy forum my bad :cool:
It's not even a conspiracy as far as i'm concerned it's a total reality. That's why we see this never ending onslaught of thread after thread spewing this lie by the same people. And all they have to do is create a mustard seed of doubt in the minds of believers and they call it a day, that's a win in their column. That's why Jesus took it hard to the pharisees, that's our example.

And all that needs to be done is to get the believer to start looking at self rather than the Son. We will all doubt if our focus is on self.

And Great post Sully. A little pin prick here and a little pin prick there to create doubt. Is a win in their column.If that little seed of doubt sprouts...........

Romans 4:6
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Romans 4:8
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Romans 4:11

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Romans 4:22

And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Romans 4:23

Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

Romans 4:24

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Romans 5:13
(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

James 2:23

And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Home run,, As zone said, this should be end of discussion..

but we know it will not be :(

Yes. Pretty much.
This mindset can't admit that they still sin from time to time because if they do - then their "interpretation" of the scripture that says - "anyone sinning is a son of the devil."

They would have to include themselves in the same interpretation that they put on that scripture.

They have painted themselves into a corner and thus their personal theory gets blown up.

Hi Skin, If we are simply saved by our faith, then why do we need Christ sacrifice? We are saved by Christ sacrifice and it is our faith in that sacrifice that gives God reason to save us. The sacrifice of Christ saves us, however it is our personal faith in that sacrifice that personally saves us. Though the sacrifice of Christ is for everyone, yet only those who exercise faith in Christ sacrifice are actually saved.

Martin Luther is the father of many false doctrines, at that time they were looking for a way to be called righteous while still being unrighteous, go figure..He invented the magical transfer of virtue, the blasphemous teaching that Jesus became sin on the cross, OSAS, no freewill, faith alone, and that we could get back at the devil by sinning boldly in his presence (I would suppose Satan is still laughing at that one)..He continually contradicted himself over and over again..He said man is saved by faith alone, and then he says man is saved by Luther's "little sacrament"...Truly a mixed bag of nuts...

I might add also that sin is not transferred to anyone's account neither...In both cases, to do sin, or righteousness, are choices that people make for them self of their own freewill..Able chose to that which was righteous, and his brother, despising that, chose to do that which was evil, Hebrews 11......

Concerning Pelagious: he said he could do nothing apart from God's grace. Believing that it was the grace of God that empowered him to follow Jesus Christ's example and live godly like Titus 2:11-14 says......

Many will falsely accuse Pelagius of preaching a religious-works gospel, thus denying grace. However, the accusers understand neither grace nor works. To their own shame, not knowing that works are ceremonial traditions, of this, this, this, and this, etc. seeking to obtain grace through vain religious ceremonial works.Pelagius believed people are by choice and habit sinful, but by the grace of God can they be made a perfect/morally upright and mature.

"I anathematize the man who either thinks or says that the grace of God, whereby 'Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners,' is not necessary not only for every hour and for every moment, but also for every act of our lives: and those who endeavor to disannul it deserve everlasting punishment."

-Signed by Pelagius

"It is one thing to inquire whether a thing can be, which has respect to its possibility only; and another thing, whether or not it is." "We are treating of possibility only; and to pass from this to something else, except in the case of some certain fact, we deem to be a very serious and extraordinary process." "I once more repeat my position: I say that it is possible for a man to be without sin. What do you say? That it is impossible for a man to be without sin? But I do not say that there is a man without sin; nor do you say, that there is not a man without sin. Our contention is about what is possible, and not possible; not about what is, and is not."
"‘No man indeed is clean from pollution’; and, ‘There is no man that sinneth not’; and, ‘There is not a just man upon the earth’; and, ‘There is none that doeth good’. There are these and similar passages in Scripture but they testify to the point of not being, not of not being able; for by testimonies of this sort it is shown what kind of persons certain men were at such and such a time, not that they were unable to be something else. Whence they are justly found to be blameworthy. If, however, they had been of such a character, simply because they were unable to be anything else, they are free from blame."
{Pelagius is expressing the truth, that if man is not able, then how could he then be commanded. Expressing that it is not of sound reasoning to think otherwise. Jesus is the logos of God and He does not make illogical commands, everything He does is logical, and sin is completely illogical}

"As far as the present question is concerned, it is not pertinent to inquire whether there have been or now are any men in this life without sin, but whether they had or have the ability to be such persons." {Does man have to be a criminal against God and continue in sin? Answer> no}

"Now, when it is said that the very ability is not at all of man's will, but of the Author of nature, - that is, God, {He asks, is God the author of disobedience?} how can that possibly be understood to be without the grace of God which is deemed especially to belong to God? That this may become still plainer, we must enter on a somewhat fuller discussion of the point. Now we affirm that the possibility of anything lies not so much in the ability of a man's will as in the necessity of nature. Take for instance, my ability to speak. That I am able to speak is not my own; but that I do speak is my own, - that is, of my own will. And because the act of my speaking is my own, I have the power of alternative action, - that is to say, both to speak and to refrain from speaking. But because my ability to speak is not my own, that is, is not of my own determination and will, it is of necessity that I am always able to speak; and though I wished not to be able to speak, I am unable, nevertheless, to be unable to speak, unless perhaps I were to deprive myself of that member whereby the function of speaking is to be performed."
{God gives us the ability and praises those who make proper use of that ability which are called those worthy of praise>those who live by a steadfast faithfulness to God, Hebrews chapter 11)

"Whatever is fettered by natural necessity is deprived of determination of will and deliberation. We may perceive the same thing to be true of hearing, smelling, and seeing, - that to hear, and to smell, and to see is of our own power, while the ability to hear, and to smell, and to see is not of our own power, but lies in a natural necessity." {Like the ability to exercise our God given senses, we also have the ability to exercise our God given freewill to choose to keep covenant with Him and live holy}

{God gives us the ability and praises those who make proper use of that ability which are called those worthy of praise>those who live by a steadfast faithfulness to God, Hebrews chapter 11)

"[Allow me to use an illustration to explain my point.] In like manner, touching the possibility of our not sinning, we must understand that it is of us not to sin, but yet that the ability to avoid sin is not of us. [However if we accept this then we are constrained to say that] inasmuch as not to sin is ours, we are able to sin and to avoid sin. [However, if we take the opposite side we will say that] inasmuch as, however, it is not of us to be able to avoid sin; even if we were to wish not to be able to avoid sin, it is not in our power to be unable to avoid sin." [I think that this illustration will show the logical conclusions of both sides.]1 Cor. 10 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. {God provides a way of escape to the avoidance of every vile willful sin (rebellion) against one's own knowledge of the truth}

"No will can take away that which is proved to be inseparably implanted by nature." "
HE is the light that ligheth everyman that cometh into the world" (the light of conscience)...... {The will of man, no matter how hard he tries, cannot remove the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit of truth, of whom came to reprove the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. No matter how hard man tries he cannot remove John1-9 from the hard-drive imbedded into every soul born by necessity>written on their hearts and minds, Romans 2-15 In other words; IT IS AN ABSOLUTE ORDAINATION OF GOD, AND ENDOWED BY CHRIST ALMIGHTY HIMSLEF “given” to every man/woman,, and has been revealed to the whole world John 16-8, Romans 1-18,20}. No amount of Augustine, Luther, Calvin, or Spurgeon, lies can change this FACT, even though they ever so earnestly sought to by way of mischief.

How many people are actually influenced by anything anybody says,statistically,.00001 percent,but that would mean people that have claimed the Bible for some time,for it appears once we get set in our mind after claiming the Bible what we see as truth,a lot of people can be unshakable,even to the point of not wanting to see anything else,thinking their interpretation is wrong,it is their belief,because we have a foundation of the Bible it is hard to shake us from it,for Mormons are really out there,and they go against scripture left and right,but they have their foundation of what they believe is truth,and rarely will any of them be shaken.

All the posting,writing,rarely does anyone ever see things if it is contrary to what they already view as the proper foundation,but somebody has to be wrong,and somebody has to be right,so that seems odd.

"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." 2Cor. 5:21
