Ignores ones heart and emotions

A fool says in his heart, I am in control, emotions do not rule me, facts are everything.
Do they have someone they love? How do they feel about their parents and what was
their last interaction with them? Why do mixed emotions rise up whenever this subject
is raised?

We get married, have jobs and kids all based on our emotional feed back.
We have dreams of changing the world, again purely driven emotionally.

We spend our teenage years dreaming of what we might be, listening to music
and following films where the aspirations are very clear, to get that inspiration
to go with our lives along.

Yet talk to a lot of believers and it is facts that matter, and the chaos of the heart
is best left alone. But we are our hearts and Jesus came to still the storm, to
bring healing and order within, to set us free from sin and death. If we do not
have this in our lives what have we to pass on to others.

Nope. God wants us to glorify Him.
and we glorify the Father by NOT doing righteous works.

Mt 5 16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

did Jesus not glorify His Father by doing righteous works in His Name?

The issue has always been love and communion with God.
When we do things in love glory goes to Him.
Why else would we who know the King do anything.

Analysing the why does not help or fearing failure, it in seeing need
and meeting it that fulfills the law of Christ.

i agree, doing a good work for yourself and not others is not righteous at all IMO.

The Pharisees were about wanting the Jews to think they were something special for being in the position they were in serving God.They were in to convincing people that they were great men of God,and special because they were great men of God.They gave glory to themselves.

They liked greetings in the marketplace, and to be called Rabbi.
They liked to disfigure their face, and appear to be fasting a great deal.
They liked to give alms in public to be noticed by people.
They liked to pray in public to be noticed by people.
They liked the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues.

The things they did was to appear to the people as great men of God,and their motivation was of arrogance, look at me,I am special.

Because they liked people to view them as great men of God,and to give glory to themselves,Jesus said they have their reward, which is whatever they can get from this earth, but it will not proceed any farther.

God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble, and pride goes before a fall.

If we want glory for ourselves, making an effort to try to convince other people we are special for living for God,above other people,or for arrogance that God shows special favor to us above other people,or convince the world we are better than you in an arrogant fashion, then we have our reward for giving glory to ourselves, and John said,I must decrease, but Jesus must increase.
