It's difficult to live in a place that is not available to live in yet... :)
Maybe not to you, but it is to me, and it can be for you too. You're saved and you have the right to enter in.

New Jerusalem booted out earthly Jerusalem (Agar) 2000 years ago. Paul says she is the mother of us all, not that SHE WILL BE the mother of us all.

So according to plainword this is mount of olives split in half. Lol. Where is the VALLEY God said He would create?

Zech 14:4
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

There is absolute truth, and God wants us to have it.

But NO translation is perfect. NO translation is "God-breathed". This is why people research the ~5700 manuscripts that we're blessed to have. And with careful analysis, and the aid of computers, all the texts can be carefully compared and I believe we can get VERY close to the original God-breathed words as they were given to the writers of the Bible. But even if we can get a perfect Greek manuscript, there will STILL be errors when people translate it. Translation is hard work. Also, no matter how unbiased a translator wants to be, or thinks he is being, there will be the tendency to "translate in" the theology of the translator.

Insisting that the KJV is the perfect unadulterated Word of God is without merit.
I've been debating the KJV inerrancy for years and I've never seen anybody produce a bonafide error.... and I don't want to debate the KJV on this thread. :)

If your happy with your translation or multiple translations and you feel like you're coming to the truth then more power to ya.

The literal mount of Olives is not going to split any more than the literal hills are going drop literal new wine. Do you see how ridiculous that sounds. New wine is the holy spirit.

And about the maccabee fulfillment of Zechariah 14 doesn't pan out in my view because Zech 14:4 matches this (they were on the mount):

Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Isaiah 14:8 KJV
Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying , Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

Are the literal fir trees and cedars of Lebanan going to say "Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us."

Of course not, the trees represent different kinds of people. My advice to all is to stop trying to figure out "the real meaning" of a Greek or Hebrew word and START trying to figure out what the tree represents. The stories in the bible are hidden in the symbols.

Revelation 6:13 KJV
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

EVEN AS a fig tree.... who is the fig tree? Who is her untimely fruit?

John 1:48 KJV
Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Nathanael was standing UNDER the fig tree... where does figs fall when they are shaken by a mighty wind? Whats the mighty wind?

Acts 2:2-4 KJV
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. [3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

More advice lol... stick with the KJV because God inspired the translators to use the same descriptive words from one end of the bible to the other. You can't figure this stuff out in the newer translations, the consistent structure isn't there.

I'm done. :)

KJV,

Ridiculous is your observation. Are all things not possible with God? The fact is that, the scripture states that in that day when Christ returns to the earth to end the age, His feet will touch down upon the mount of Olives and it will split towards the north and south creating a great valley, just as the as the scripture states. According to Rev.19:11-21 Jesus will also be riding a white horse out of heaven and the church with him riding on white horses. Is that ridiculous as well, since horses can't fly? If the splitting of the mount is ridiculous, then it would infer that you are not believing in the scripture at face value, but are instead applying a symbolic meaning where none is required.

The problem is that you are not discerning between what is literal and what is figurative. Do you think that every time the word "fig" is used in scripture that it is always referring to Israel? The context should bear that out. Just because the fig tree is used a couple of times to represent Israel, you don't apply that meaning every single time the word appears.

I'll tell you right now that the words "fig tree" in Rev.6:13 is not referring to Israel. But is in reference to the way in which the stars/meteorites will fall to the earth. This is an example of applying a figurative meaning where the context requires a literal interpretation.

Well you can say that....The bible says otherwise.

On that day his feet will stand
on the Mount of Olives,
which lies to the east of Yerushalayim;
and the Mount of Olives will be split in half
from east to west, to make a huge valley.
Half of the mountain will move toward the north,
and half of it toward the south.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]You will flee to the valley in the mountains,
for the valley in the mountains will reach to Atzel.
You will flee, just as you fled before the earthquake
in the days of ‘Uziyah king of Y’hudah.
Then Adonai my God will come
to you with all the holy ones. [SUP]6 [/SUP]On that day, there will be
neither bright light nor thick darkness;
[SUP]7 [/SUP]and one day, known to Adonai,
will be neither day nor night,
although by evening there will be light.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]On that day, fresh water will flow
out from Yerushalayim,
half toward the eastern sea
and half toward the western sea,
both summer and winter.

Restrained by Jesus and his church who act on Jesus' behalf.

But not bound, rendered inoperative,as in the millennium.

The heathen sinners, and Christian nominal believers behaving like sinners, are the ones promoting Satan and his power at this time. He,Satan,is not bound at this time

Only Half Right possibly because of a typo in wording. YES the Holy Spirit in us is the ONE doing the Restraining, but didn't you mean to word that second sentence:

"But not bound as in the millennium, but rendered inoperative."

Technically I think the expression means to "only let Satan go so Far."

2 Thessalonians 2:7 (KJV)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 (HCSB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one now restraining will do so until he is out of the way,

Which is obviously DIFFERENT than these verses:

Revelation 20:2-3 (NRSV)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
[SUP]3 [/SUP] and threw him into the pit, and locked and sealed it over him, so that he would deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be let out for a little while.

2 Peter 3:3 (HCSB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] First, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days to scoff, living according to their own desires,

It does not sound rediculous to me, but I am a true Believer in THE CREATOR'S POWER.

Zechariah 14:4-5 (HCSB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, forming a huge valley, so that half the mountain will move to the north and half to the south.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] You will flee by My mountain valley, for the valley of the mountains will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come and all the holy ones with Him.

Zechariah 14:9-11 (HCSB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] On that day Yahweh will become King over all the earth—Yahweh alone, and His name alone.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem will be changed into a plain. But ⌊Jerusalem⌋ will be raised up and will remain on its site from the Benjamin Gate to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] People will live there, and never again will there be a curse of complete destruction. So Jerusalem will dwell in security.

"From Geba to Beersheba" expressed the whole extent of the kingdom of Judah, just as "from Dan to Beersheba" described the whole length of Palestine (2 Kings 23:8)

Beersheba was a larger town a several miles west of Rimmon. About half ways from Beersheba to the Dead Sea was where Rimmon was located.

In your SCOFFING, you pretend GREAT EARTHQUAKES CANNOT RIP MOUNTAINS IN TWO:

It sounds like a major earth quake like nothing ever heard of or seen before. Doesn't the Scripture state that the earth will crack in half and reel back and forth like a drunkard off its axis?

I know right, stars that are 1000's of times larger than the earth are ALL going to fall to the earth right? Oh wait, stars DOESN'T REALLY MEAN stars, it's meteor shower isn't it.

I am saying that at the millineum he is bound and rendered inoperative, but at the moment he is restrained.

Very Good Post. Exactly on Cue...........They have a hard time believing in God's Words (ALL) of them...and that is their down fall..For How can you only truly believe in part of GOD's Glorious wonders.

The Bible tells us about those wonders but they want to skip over them.

I've lived in wilderness country all my life...Trees do talk. Well, not in English or Hindi, but they do talk. Put your ear to a tree someday and listen.

As for the other....Why not?
