And then they say God made weed, and you can't addicted to it.
Both are lies.

At the end of Day 6 when God beheld His work it was "very good".
There were no weeds.
God did not make weeds.
Those came later, either after the Fall or after the Flood as a result of hybridization.

Marijuana is most certainly addictive, no matter how often they say it's not.
God delivered me from it a long time ago, and He can deliver you, too.
But you must be strong-minded.
Weak-mindedness is why people don't overcome addictions.

No. God wants us to have a sound mind. A clear mind.

Everything that prevents you from thinking clearly is not of God.

Yes I'm aware of that! But people think it's a joke when I say a suffer marijuana addiction, which is crazy because I'm not really laughing. And then they say God made weed, and you can't addicted to it. I personally think and know he made it for it's medical purposes, not for me to smoke my life away.

God made arsenic but you wouldn't go and deliberately poison yourself.
God made poisonous snakes but you wouldn't invite one to bite you.
God made tobacco plants, smoking causes many lung problems, my aunt
has COPD due to lung damage from 40 years of smoking.
Speeding can lead to danger to life
Drinking alcohol can lead to liver damage and brain damage etc etc

God had given us many things, which when used for medicinal purposes, can
be beneficial in all sorts of ways. But mankind tends to abuse God's creation with
disastrous results.

If smoking weed is illegal in your state, then you shouldn't smoke it.
If its legal, then you still have to weigh up if it's beneficial and educate yourself
about the damage both physically and psychologically it can do to you.

God wants you to live a healthy long life, He doesn't want you to come to harm.
Consider this who wants to harm you, who wants you to harm yourself. Who goes
around like a roaring lion seeking out who he can destroy? Don't do the devils
work for him by continuing to harm yourself.

Seek God with all your heart, you matter to Him more than you can ever know.
Seek out some local / medical help to get over this addiction and find out what is
at the root cause and why do you need to keep having it.

See, it is so amazing to me how God speaks to me, because I literally made God a promise that I wouldn't disappoint him with my anger anymore! And I Will NOT BREAK THAT PROMISE TO HIM FOR ANYONE!! and its like the only promise on the list that I have been keeping, which is showing me that if I can keep one promise to him, There's no reason I can't keep the rest of them, but it didn't take him a day to cure me of my anger! But, I know I will be set free of all my selfish addictions, and tendencies, because I believe in his WORD! Until then, I am who I am!
You do not need to make a promise to not disappoint Him with your anger, because under the New Covenant, He will help you with your anger to keep you from sinning.

Just as His promises under the New Covenant says He will set you free from addictions as well as habitually sinning. All He ask from you is to believe Him to be your Good Shepherd to actually help you to follow Him.

I was literally, just thinking god made poisonous mushrooms, but id never pick on up and eat it. And, smoking has caused so many illnesses for people in my family. Thats, why I decided I'm done smoking both tobacco and marijuana! I enjoy life without them, because I know for a fact that all I need is Gods love. However, if I never fell down, I wouldn't know how much I truly need him! Sometimes, or most of the time it seems he's pushing me down, so that I reach for his hand to help me back up!

I understand that but only when I started listening to the world, did I start breaking my promises! I make promises for myself, so that I indeed know what my problems are, and I have clear evidence he's delievered me from all of them. Not for myself, but people who struggle with the same things. So I can say to them with certainty and conviction, that HE helped me with all my problems, and if they believe in him, he will do the same for them!

I was under the commitment to follow Christ and I can say that I did the best I could to follow Him and had failed miserably. I had quit the deacon twice for feeling like a fraud. He would help me when I fail, but when I show my appreciation for His help & forgiveness, I would go right back to trying to do the best I can in keeping that commitment to follow Him. I was being doubleminded in all my ways and miserable as I felt like a yo yo... back and forth .. back and forth.

It wasn't until I had made a covenant with my mouth not to cuss any more to relieve stress when I was by myself out at the warehouse I was managing that I found myself worse than I ever was before the very next day.

Negative thoughts filled me head like "You are not His. If you were His, He would have helped you keep your covenant."

So I stopped listening to the devil ( if you will ) BUT I did ask Him why He was not helping me. I got an answer.

He said "You made the covenant. You said you were going to do it. I made the Covenant with you and I said I am going to do it. All I ask from you is to believe in Me."

So Jesus set me free from that covenant I made with my mouth not to cuss, and He set me free from my commitment to follow Him by resting in His commitment to me that He will help me to follow Him.

Jesus warned about making any promises that only God can keep because we cannot make one hair white or black ( Matthew 5:33-37 KJV )

Matthew 5:[SUP]33 [/SUP]Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:[SUP] 34 [/SUP]But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:[SUP] 35 [/SUP]Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.[SUP] 36 [/SUP]Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.[SUP]37 [/SUP]But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage........ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Philippians 1:[SUP]6 [/SUP]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:........[SUP]11 [/SUP]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Anyway, that is why I exhort all believers to not make nay promises that are His to keep thereby we are declaring our faith & hope in Him and His promises to us to do it so that others may see their hope in Him too.

Jesus has forgiven me and has set me free from all promises and commitments and covenants that are under the New Covenant for Him to keep and to finish which is also to His glory since we are the work of His hands.

We shall have all the more reasons to praise Him in Heaven for and not just for our salvation either.

I think I see what you mean. I'll try not to do it anymore. However, I'm wondering if that includes goals as well?

You can set goals for Him, by recognizing that those are the goals you are expecting Him to help you achieve.

Philippians 4:[SUP]13 [/SUP]I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

To be honest weed in its natural form not being tampered with and laced with stuff actually has so many health benefits it's scary, it's used for diabetes for pain for people who have mental stress induced meltdowns frequently it speeds up your metabolism it helps to make your white blood cells work faster too which is why they let me smoke it when I had cancer but honestly I hate how it makes my mind feel all fuzzy and weird.

It does appear to have different affects on different people I have seen people with severe anger issues being mellow and calm and others just get lazy and really really hungry me I just get super sleepy and pass out at least I did when I smoked it once my cancer was gone there was no need to use it and honestly because of how much I hate how it makes my head feel I rarely did it anyways.
If it wasn't illegal where you live I would simply tell you that like with everything else moderation is key, I would only use it for my diabetes and maybe for pain and sleep. If something begins to take focus of your thoughts and replaces God then I would say you need to back off from it for sure but personally as long as it's done in moderation, it;'s not legal and you use it responsibly such as not being high while driving I would say it fine but only with these conditions fully met

Okay I can accept that! I will be adding this Verse to the list of my favorite Bible verses.

I have suffered with an addiction problem to marijuana. Mainly, because I'm from a long line of addiction. In no way am I saying I have any withdrawal symptoms. I just simply want to smoke it all the time.
I personally hear from multiple people that "God made weed", and I think okay, but how many joints do you think he smokes a day?

If you check different religions they use some kind of substance to get in touch with their god or gods... Though I have never touched the stuff and I'm not judging those who have done or do... But I pose this question, do we as Christians need any outside substance to get in contact with ours?... This thought might help you fight the addiction... Brother Glen

No, I can talk to God period! However, my mind was "altered" when I realized God wants me to have self-control...

Smoking marijuana is against the law in most jurisdictions, and Christians are to submit themselves to authorities unless their instruction conflicts with a moral obligation to God. Additionally, buying pot from drug dealers causes the Christian to associate with immoral individuals and opens them up to arrest. Also, they are seeking their purpose and contentment from something other than God, which is idolatry. Lastly, what kind of witness is that, being a druggie?

Okay, I'm not a druggie! I was smoking pot, because of how my mom had a heart attack and died two years after my sister died, and then of course less than one year after my mom died my grandma dies. So excuse me, for not being perfect. However if my brother or sister, confided in me about their drug addiction or what have you. I know for a fact God wouldn't want me to call them a druggie, but I get what your saying nonetheless.

It's not one of the commandments, but God does say to treat your body like a temple.

I suppose it's like the whole thing with wine. Jesus drank wine, but it was heavily diluted with water. Not enough alcohol to damage the body or to get drunk.

Weed however, even though God made it, I'm not sure if we as people are using it correctly. I hear that it has medicinal properties, but so do the types of pills that people can get hooked on. Just keep your body as clean and don't use weed unless the doctor says to.

Okay, I mean like I stated previously I don't think he made it for me to smoke my whole life away. Especially, when he gave me life, and is showing me how valuable it is.
