If its used as medicine it doesn't seem it would be a problem. If its used as a way of escape it may be idol worship. God is a jealous God and would like us come to Him for our comfort. They call it dope for a reason, it puts the user in a fog, being an ex user i know what i'm talking about. my brain gets clearer and clearer, as i choose not to use. The Word says be sober and vigilant and the way the world is today being in a fog or getting glassy blood shot eyes from booze is not a good choice. i'm not telling people not to drink or smoke weed i'm just sharing what has been better for me. i smoked weed for a long time would start at 5:30 6:00 in morning and would keep smoking until bed time. The Lord showed me a better way and its been a blessing.

We had the same situation 2 weeks ago. My husband brought a couple from Texas to the same type of ministry. Several of the men are really on fire...all out for Jesus. There were some though one could tell they were there for food and shelter.

They hear the Word and see the Spirit moving. It won't return void.
Some folks are in desperate need of food and shelter, these days, it makes me awfully sad.

He's shown me a better way too, this time I won't be so stubborn about it. Because frankly, I'm getting tired of starting back at day one. But nothing beats a failure but a try, so yeah...

Lol, and let's be real they still smoking to this day, but I figure they haven't asked God to deliver them from it. But he also does say come as you are! But that's funny, I'll have to remember that. :)
So I ask this question having smoked cigarettes and know you can't get the smell out of your clothes and hair. But never smoked weed and never been around those who do... Does weed also make you smell like you've been there?... Just curious... Brother Glen

Honestly it depends, if your in a close tight knit space or constantly smoking one after the other oh yeah. However, I can't stand smelling like weed so all my clothes are in containers or in the hallway closet. Lol. Plus, the smell of marijuana is way more pungent than ciggarettes..

That is true. Especially in warm states. We are in Florida and we have homeless people everywhere. Many churches too that have ministries for them.

Anything that is not by the faith that comes from hearing God is sin. All sin is forgivable other than attributing the work of God to our own selves (blasphemy) .

The prescriptive not to be drunk on wine with wine meaning anything that intoxicates invigorates therforefore leading to dissipation of the Spirit of God has do with habits that have taken control of the person, therefore leaving self control… the fruit of His work of His Spirit working in us called additions. Pride can be intoxicating as an addiction. But a little wine is good for the spirit that is suffering. The B word balance is needed in all cases.

Interestingly in the development of a blended family a hard work in suffering for doing right. Mandrake which I think is known for being similar to Mariana is used to increase the family as drug deals sending out the children to resupply.

Reuben went out and found some mandrake plants in a field and brought them to
his mother Leah. ...... So Joseph went after his brothers and found them at Dothan the big drug city.
.
And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes. And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes. And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.
Genesis 30:14

Solomon 7:13 The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.

You know it nothing against you brethren that smoke Maryjane... I was a young man in the 60's and I came thru that culture... I remember to this day I went to concert in San Diego and the main attraction was The Doors... Back in the day they were the gods of Rock and Roll... The whole place was ROCKIN... MJ was being passed around everywhere... As Jim Morrison took the stage, we were sitting on the floor and the place went crazy... A girl passed me a joint and said here take a hit... Like to scared me to death... And I screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOO!... She look at me so innocent and said you mean, No thank you!... I said No thank you!... But you have to realize something... In 1969 I had just gotten out of the Marines after a tour in Vietnam and we knew what was going on here as we were fighting there... And some on here know how long it took us to be accepted in the country, and the people that rejected us, sorry to get on my soapbox... So I guess if I really wanted to smoke real weed, I could go to my garden, dig up a few, let them dry out, mash them up and get some papers and roll out one and light up... Then again... No thank you... Brother Glen

I have suffered with an addiction problem to marijuana. Mainly, because I'm from a long line of addiction. In no way am I saying I have any withdrawal symptoms. I just simply want to smoke it all the time.
I personally hear from multiple people that "God made weed", and I think okay, but how many joints do you think he smokes a day?
Let this be your guide, I can not say what it means in your situation. Sure I could get a holier then you, but really we are all sinners and we need to be guided by His word and His Spirit, not by others opinion of what the word means in their situation.

Romans 6:15-19 "What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

Thank you, it's obvious to me I need to study Romans!

Believe in Him. Put your trust in Him to overcome this for you.

1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him..........[SUP]4 [/SUP]For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.[SUP]5 [/SUP]Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 3:[SUP]3 [/SUP]And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.....[SUP]8 [/SUP]He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Timothy 4:[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Corinthians 10:[SUP]13 [/SUP]There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Hebrews 2:[SUP]18 [/SUP]For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

1 Peter 4:[SUP]12 [/SUP]Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:[SUP]13 [/SUP]But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 5:[SUP]8 [/SUP]Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:[SUP]9 [/SUP]Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.[SUP]10 [/SUP]But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.[SUP]11 [/SUP]To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Jude 1:[SUP]24 [/SUP]Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,[SUP]25 [/SUP]To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

There were times when I had doubts and I needed His help to help me trust in Him and continue to hope in Him for all things.

Mark 9:[SUP]23 [/SUP]Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.[SUP]24 [/SUP]And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

So do know even when you have doubts, He can help you with that too so you can continue to hope in Him in keeping you from your sins.
