The Passover is a Lamb, not a day. Please disregard the time of day. That's not Biblical. The 9th hour is when He died (3PM), not when He was crucified. He was hung on he cross on the 3rd hour (9AM). Exodus 12:18 is easier to understand when we are able to comprehend that "evening" represents the beginning of the following day.
Yes excuse me I meant died at 3pm, yes he was crucified at 9am and the notice placed above the cross at the 6th hour.

When the Jews were released from bondage that happened on the night of the 14th on the first month Abib of the year.

Feast of the unleavend bread is from the 14th to the 21st,
Evening to evening. The beginning of the next day to the beginning of the next day. The Exodus of Israel began on the 15th before sunrise as I read it. That represents a new life in Christ. This represents being "born again."

"Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord." (Isaiah 52:11)

Can't wait for the yeast to make the bread rise. Don't bother with the leaven. Does that make sense to you?

I'll try but even those who wrote it didn't make anything easy, exodus 12:18 could have been explain at lot easier taut how it's written.
Agreed. It took me years of digging. You’re a good guy. Keep digging and sharing with me, and I with you. BTW, Forgive me for my imperfection toward you. I'll make mistakes until the day I die even though I mean no harm. Presumption is always harmful.

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. (Psalm 19:13)

The days mentioned in Genesis is symbolic and there was evening and morning, a dusk and dawn continueous light.

the sun was created on the 4th day, there is no sun during the first three days, so using a 24 hour day goes right out the window quick.

yea I know this is going to be real hard for you to leap, it's ok

a million years equals a minute, this is length of each of those days. welcome to do the math.

AMEN! There are just some things that are still beyond man’s comprehension for good reason. Why? So we have no alternative but to admit Who is really in control of all things. According to scripture, "day" is a certain time of happening or sequence.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.(2 Peter 3:8 )

Amen brother, though God does reveal things to those who take the leap of faith that I know. :)

i think its a real beauty on how the creation account goes really deep in explaination.

The verbiage on creation in Genesis is of the universe, of galaxies, of planets, wrapped up in a short basic fundamentals that rings true on many advance levels.

One alternative is to name them after Breakfast Cereals.

Subway had an ad campaign naming the days of the week after their sandwiches. Tomorrow is Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki day.

I hope that day isn't a workday. Better pack a lunch and a thermos of coffee.

200 years ago our government was much more open to the influence of Biblical precepts. Even then I doubt that you could have persuaded anyone to adopt a lunar/solar calendar. In our time our government is increasingly hostile to Biblical precepts.

You are not likely to change the way we reckon time so why not crusade for something that can be accomplished?

What alternative method are you currently using in regards to a calendar and days of the week besides the present system that's been in place for hundreds of years?

In our time, even the Jewish calendar, which has been in continuous use since the Exodus, is superimposed on the Gregorian calendar. Not only that; but with rare exceptions Jewish calendars use the post-exilic names of several months; so that the months are now named for Babylonian idols. Abib is called Nissan and Ethanim is called Tishri, among others.

You are fighting a loosing battle!

Observation of the "new moons" even though we don't hear the sounding of the two silver trumpets any more. At least that's all I can do. But I have an advantage. I'm retired. If I was a farmer, being able to sustain myself in relation to the agrarian culture of the Bible, I would be doing the same thing I suppose. It's our Creator's times and seasons. We can’t do a thing to change the cycles of the signs given for His purpose for us. I like supernatural spiritual gifts, but I don't speak languages that I cannot understand. LOL
