Revelation 13:16-17English Standard Version (ESV)

16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave,[a] to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

----------------------------------------------------------
1) We already have this technology (microchip) and it's currently being implemented worldwide for payment of things. It's just a matter of time before the beast implements this as per scripture, shortly after a world government is born or at the time of its birth.

2) What happens to those who do not take the mark? Are they condemned to simply starve to death, or will God provide for them? Will they be executed?

3) Why do you think God is so black/white on the issue on who takes the mark? All who take the mark will be burned in the lake of fire. Can the mark alter your DNA to make you unacceptable to God?

I used to dread this reality, but now I'm not so scared anymore, as Christ says not to worry about the future.
Ok,the mark does not precede the a Christ. He precedes it. Secondly it is not one dimensional. It is a actual mark,a device,a number,and a form of worship.

So,nothing really to worry about.

I believe the entire mark thingy is voluntary for those that take it. Look how insane liberals are today. That is nothing compared to the deluded warped minds of the a Christ followers.

If we refuse the mark,we die. That is a fact.

So,some chip thingy is a birthpang,not the mark.

He returns and gathers the saints AFTER the TRIBULATION;

Isaiah 24:1-6, "See, יהוה is making the earth empty and making it waste, and shall overturn its surface, and shall scatter abroad its inhabitants. 2 And it shall be – as with the people so with the priest, as with the servant so with his master, as with the female servant so with her mistress, as with the buyer so with the seller, as with the lender so with the borrower, as with the creditor so with the debtor; 3 the earth is completely emptied and utterly plundered, for יהוה has spoken this word. 4 The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish. 5 For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torah, changed the law, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left.

Matt 24:21-22, "For then will be great tribulation, such as has not come to pass since the beginning of the world to this time--no, nor ever will be. And unless those days were shortened, there would no flesh be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened."

Mat 24:29-31, “And immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

seventh messenger sounded his trumpet, and... He shall reign forever and ever!

Revelation 8:2, "And I saw the seven messengers who stand before Yah, and to them were given seven trumpets."

Revelation 5:5-6, “And one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Yehuḏah, the Root of Dawiḏ, overcame to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals.” And I looked and saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Yah sent out into all the earth.”

Revelation 11:15, “And the seventh messenger sounded his trumpet, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, “Now, brothers, we do not wish you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you be sad as others who have no expectation. For if we believe that יהושע died and rose again, so also Yah shall bring with Him those who sleep in יהושע. For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep. Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Yah, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master. So, then, encourage one another with these words."

1 Corinthians 15:51-55, “See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible has to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality. And when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall come to be the word that has been written, “Death is swallowed up in overcoming. O Death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your overcoming?”

Mat 24:29-31, “And immediately after the distress of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of atrumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

Of all the end times models,historical is the least plausible.

History itself debunks it. Soundly debunks it.

Well, since it was never reality to begin with, there was no reason to fear it.

On the other hand, it's a nice trick to get Christians away from focusing on God.

The ONLY way to make that model work,is to LEAVE OUT the pretrib rapture verses.

1) you have zero verses declaring that model. Look again at mat 24. ANGELS gathered,not JESUS. " FROM HEAVEN",NOT EARTH.

2) Now go to rev 14. We see a rapture of ripe fruit DURING THE GT.

3) Jesus compares Lot to the return of Christ. No post judgement dimension. Instead we see a PREJUDGMENT DEPARTURE.

4)Noah. We see a post judgement RETURN,and it would be ridiculous for God to remove Noah postjudgement.

Postrib rapture is imoossible

Ahh Isee your misunderstanding, the 7thtrumpet, marking the return of the Messiah is the eaxt time the 7 last plagues will come upon the earth;

Revelation 14:15-20, “And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place, crying with a loud voice to the One sitting on the cloud, “Send Your sickle and reap, because the hour has come for You to reap, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.” And the One sitting on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. And another messenger came out of the Dwelling Place which is in the heaven, and he too held a sharp sickle. And another messenger came out from the sacrifice-place, having authority over the fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him having the sharp sickle, saying, “Send your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe. And the messenger thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of YHWH. And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the bridles of the horses, for about one thousand six hundred.” (Approx. 296 kilometres or 184 miles)

Mat 24:37-9, "“And as the days of Noaḥ, so also shall the coming of the Son of Aḏam be. For as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noaḥ entered into the ark, and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also shall the coming of the Son of Aḏam be.”

Luke 17:28, "“And likewise, as it came to be in the days of Lot: They were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building, but on the day Lot went out of Seḏom it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed all. It shall be the same in the day the Son of Aḏam is revealed.”

Sounds more like Hollywood stuff. We walk by faith the unseen the mark is a metphor.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.Rev 13:17

The mark is like the mark of Cain . The mark of a restless wanderer(no Sabbbath rest in Christ) a beast of the field (formed from dust) natural unconverted man. They refuse to buy the truth of the gospel like Esau they see not value as natural man who sold it for a cup of soup.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

This is why I said "Show me"
2 thess 2
2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

I think that the mark of the beast is a study in contrast as the Apostle Paul also bears the marks of Christ... John Gill in his Exposition of the Bible gives many examples of both... As Bob Dylan song says... Gotta Serve Somebody!...Brother Glen

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor,
free and bond
Men of all ranks and degrees, states and conditions, within his jurisdiction; this refers to the beast, and not to the image:to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads;
or "that they might give themselves marks", as the Complutensian edition reads; which is an allusion either to the custom among the Romans of imprinting marks upon their servants and soldiers, by which they might be known to whom they belonged; servants had them in their foreheads [SUP]F9[/SUP], and soldiers in their hands [SUP]F11[/SUP]; or to the usages of the Jews in binding their phylacteries upon their arms and foreheads, to put them in mind of the law of God, and their obedience to it; or to the practices of the Heathens, in putting the mark of the god they worshipped upon their bodies; Maimonides [SUP]F12[/SUP] says, it was a custom with the Gentiles to mark themselves with their idols, showing that they were their bought servants, and were marked for their service: the sense is, that some received the mark in one place, and some in another: those who were obliged to receive the mark in the right hand seem to be the clergy, such who entered into holy orders; who lifted up their right hand, and swore and vowed allegiance to the pope, and testified they were ready to defend and support his religion and interest; and who in their ordination are said to have an indelible character impressed on them: and those who received the mark in their foreheads are the common people in general, who one and all have the same impress upon them; which may intend either the sign of the cross in baptism, or rather their open confession of the Popish religion, which they as publicly avow and declare as if it had been written on their foreheads.

for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus;
by which he means, not the marks in Christ's hands, feet, and side; but the reproachful characters the apostle was stigmatized with; or the real scars in his body, made by beating, scourging, and stoning of him; or his sufferings and persecutions in general, which he endured for the sake of Christ and his Gospel; see ( 2 Corinthians 11:23-28 ) . The allusion is either to servants and soldiers, who, when taken into service, used to have some particular mark put upon them, that they might be known to be such an one's servant, or soldier [SUP]F3[/SUP]; as the Hebrew servant, who was willing to serve his master, had his ear bored through with an awl, ( Exodus 21:6 ) so the apostle was known to be a firm and faithful servant, and a good soldier of Christ, by the reproaches and afflictions which he underwent for his sake; or else to those marks which, by way of reproach and punishment, were made upon fugitive servants, or soldiers, that deserted; as the sufferings of the apostle were designed as reproaches to him, and punishments of him, for preaching the Gospel of Christ; but these he gloried in, and bore and carried as trophies and marks of honour. Just as veteran soldiers show the scars and wounds they have received in battle, as tokens of their valour and courage, in facing and fighting the enemy in greatest danger: these he is said to bear "in his body"; not in the bodies of others, he gloried not in their flesh, as the false apostles did; nor in the circumcision of his own flesh, the scar that left there the mark of Moses and of a Jew; but in those things which were marks of his being a disciple of Christ, and not of Moses, and which he bore for his sake; and since therefore it was so easy to discern on which side of the question he was, from his suffering persecution for the cross of Christ; and since he had so many and such great trials and exercises, he, with apostolical gravity and authority, commands them to give him no more trouble, from the time of their reception of the epistle, henceforward.

Men of all ranks and degrees, states and conditions, within his jurisdiction; this refers to the beast, and not to the image:to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads;
or "that they might give themselves marks", as the Complutensian edition reads; which is an allusion either to the custom among the Romans of imprinting marks upon their servants and soldiers, by which they might be known to whom they belonged; servants had them in their foreheads [SUP]F9[/SUP], and soldiers in their hands [SUP]F11[/SUP]; or to the usages of the Jews in binding their phylacteries upon their arms and foreheads, to put them in mind of the law of God, and their obedience to it; or to the practices of the Heathens, in putting the mark of the god they worshipped upon their bodies; Maimonides [SUP]F12[/SUP] says, it was a custom with the Gentiles to mark themselves with their idols, showing that they were their bought servants, and were marked for their service: the sense is, that some received the mark in one place, and some in another: those who were obliged to receive the mark in the right hand seem to be the clergy, such who entered into holy orders; who lifted up their right hand, and swore and vowed allegiance to the pope, and testified they were ready to defend and support his religion and interest; and who in their ordination are said to have an indelible character impressed on them: and those who received the mark in their foreheads are the common people in general, who one and all have the same impress upon them; which may intend either the sign of the cross in baptism, or rather their open confession of the Popish religion, which they as publicly avow and declare as if it had been written on their foreheads.

for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus;
by which he means, not the marks in Christ's hands, feet, and side; but the reproachful characters the apostle was stigmatized with; or the real scars in his body, made by beating, scourging, and stoning of him; or his sufferings and persecutions in general, which he endured for the sake of Christ and his Gospel; see ( 2 Corinthians 11:23-28 ) . Greetings Christian71,

The mark as a literal application is found right in the context, where it will be a mark of identification with the beast, it will also be the only way of buying and selling and will go in/on the literal hand or forehead.

To put it into perspective for today, without it no one will be able to perform electronic crediting and debiting. This coming device in the hand or forehead, during the time of the beasts reign, will replace card swiping and cell phone bank apps, etc., for crediting and debiting an individuals bank account. Click on the following links to see the technology for the mark, as a literal device as the scripture makes clear:

He returns and gathers the saints AFTER the TRIBULATION;

So we go up to Jesus and then straight back down, No brides supper, no sheep and Goat, no bema seat, no millennium ( this is no one left on earth to populate the millennium.). Wow, you and DC,,,I thought that viewpoint went out with the bathwater in the 1960-70s. since we have no millennium, we must be living in it.... and Jesus is ruling with an Iron Hand (in spiritual form of course). Oh, well like I told DC...hope you have a good backup plan.

What I posted dealt only with His return and the metathesis or transformation...

When one understands the Feast days of Yah they can not be fooled by false doctrines or timeslines, because this is Yah telling us about Yahshua's 1st and 2nd coming;

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]1 Thessalonians 5:1, "But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I should write to you."

[/FONT][FONT=Times New Roman, serif]concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you SHOULD have no need that I should write to you, but every one says no to the Holy Days of Yah and yes to Halloween, Christmas and Easter...[/FONT]
