How do we explain Paul's dead to the law statements within its context?

Rom 7:4 (NASB) Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

How do we explain Paul's dead to the law statements within its context?
The best way to explain it is by looking at the entire chapter (KJB) to see how that statement fits:

DEAD MEN ARE FREE FROM THE LAW
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

WIDOWS ARE FREE FROM THE LAW PERTAINING TO MARRIAGE
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to herhusband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

THE CHURCH (THE BODY AND BRIDE OF CHRIST) HAS BEEN RELEASED FRO THE LAW AND IS THEREFORE MARRIED TO CHRIST
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

UNREGENERATE PEOPLE ARE UNDER THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH
For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

REGENERATED CHRISTIANS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED FROM THE LETTER OF THE LAW SO THAT THEY MAY APPLY THE SPIRIT OF THE LAW IN THEIR RELATIONSHIPS
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

THE LAW EXPOSES SIN BUT IS NOT SIN ITSELF
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

WITHOUT THE LAW WE WOULD BE UNAWARE OF OUR SINS
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS CONDEMN ALL SINNERS TO DEATH (FIRST AND SECOND)
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

SIN LEADS TO DEATH WHICH IS THE PENALTY UNDER THE LAW
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

THE LAW ITSELF IS HOLY, JUST, AND GOOD
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

BUT IT ALSO REVEALS THE EXCEEDING SINFULNESS OF SIN
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

THE LAW IS SPIRITUAL, BUT SINNERS ARE SLAVES TO SIN
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

THE SIN NATURE (THE FLESH) IS NOT ERADICATED IN THE BELIEVER
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

THE SPIRIT (THE INWARD MAN) DELIGHTS IN THE LAW
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

THE FLESH IS AT WAR WITH THE SPIRIT
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

THE FLESH CANNOT DOMINATE THE CHRISTIAN BECAUSE OF CHRIST WITHIN
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

TO SUM UP: THOSE WHO ARE DEAD TO THE LAW ARE ALIVE TO GOD (THROUGH CHRIST) AND CANNOT BE DOMINATED BY THE FLESH.

We are dead to obeying God’s law physically, as we did under Moses. We now obey God’s same laws spiritually under the authority of Christ. It is like if Moses were our husband, but he died and we are now married to Christ, so trying to be married to both the dead husband and the live husband at the same time is still spiritual adultery so-to-speak.

On the mount of transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared with Christ. A cloud hid both Moses and Elijah, leaving only Christ to be seen. Then God said “ This (singular not plural) is My Son (singular not plural), listen to Him (singular not plural).” God was telling us to no longer listen to the physical law (represented by Moses) nor to listen to the prophets any longer either (represented by Elijah) but only to listen to His Son. Jesus in turn commanded His apostles to ‘teach us what He commanded them to’ (which is the New Testament).

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Christ.” (That leaves no more authority to Moses). But please understand, these titles: ‘the Law’ or ‘the mosaical Law’ or ‘the Law of Moses’ all mean the same thing- that God put Moses in authority to see that God’s people obey God’s laws physically. But obeying God’s laws that way (physically) was nailed to the cross forevermore. God’s laws were not nailed to the cross, only the physical way of obeying them.

But now, under the authority of Christ, (God took authority away from Moses and gave all authority to Christ), now under Christ we obey God’s laws spiritually. Yes, the exact same laws that were once under Moses, every one of them, not just the Ten Commandments, but every law of God is still to be obeyed spiritually, not physically.

But because we remain in physicalbodies, there will be times when they look the same, so let me give examples. We no longer sacrifice a physically perfect lamb, we now have a spiritually perfect Lamb. Under Moses, you couldn’t murder. Under Christ, you still can’t murder, but under Christ if you hate your brother, you are already guilty of murder in your heart (spiritually).

Rom 7:4 (NASB) Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.
It means the law no longer has the power to keep you in bondage to sin, like how the law of marriage keeps a woman in marital bondage to her husband as long as he is alive.

When the husband dies, the law that keeps a woman legally bound to her husband can not do that anymore. She becomes dead to the law that requires her to stay in marital bondage to her husband. It doesn't apply to her anymore. It doesn't get broken. It simply doesn't have jurisdiction over her anymore to keep her in marital servitude to the one who has died. She is free to remarry.

So it is with the believer. Since the flesh we once served has died with Christ on the cross, the law of Moses that kept us and sinful flesh bound together in a master/servant, husband/wife relationship no longer has the power and the authority to keep us in a relationship that no longer exists because of death. The law of Moses that kept us bound to sinful flesh can not do that anymore. Husband and master has died, therefore, the believer is free to marry a new husband and master, Jesus Christ and obey him in marital obedience.

If you really want to look at it in it's context, we need to start at 6:15 and go through to 7:6

“What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Or do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.

Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.”

We are dead to the Law because of Colossians 2:13-15
“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”

We are free from the Law, I Corinthians 7:39 “A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.”

Since we are made alive in Him to be His bride, the Law is died to us, making us free to be the bride of Chirst. We know that He would never brake the Law by marry in anyway that would brake the Law of God or to marry an adulterous women. This is why we are free from the Law, because Christ's death freed us from the legal demands of the Law, by nailing it to the cross to put them to an open shame and triumpthing over them on the cross.

I've it is so wonderful to know that we have been freed to marry the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because the legal demands of the Law have no effect on us. The Law has it's demands on us, but Chirst crucified pays the demands of the Law and frees us from it's demands to be free to be Chrit's bride,

How do we explain Paul's dead to the law statements within its context?

Rom 7:4 (NASB) Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

Ro 7:1-6
1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
KJV

There are three concepts at work here, all of which may seem strange to our modern cultures.

1) the word 'lord' means owner.

2) a wife was considered her husband's property.

1 Pe 3:6
6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
KJV

3) Rabbinic tradition taught that a Jewish person's relationship to the Law was analogous to that of a wife to a husband.

1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

Rabbinic tradition taught that a Jewish person's relationship to the Law was analogous to that of a wife to a husband.

Paul is reluctant to speak of the Law as being dead although the Law is analogous to a husband; but he seeks to indicate that a believer's marital duties to the Law are ended. He is also inferring that a believer's marital duties are now transferred to Jesus.

5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

This is what the Messiah said in the final written message to humankind:

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the Commands of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

1 Corinthians 7:19, "For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of Yah?"

paul is explaining that just being circumcized doesnt mean your approved of God under the Law, its those who obeyed the Law that were accepted. we truly are not under the Mosaic Law, the issue is that people dont differentiate between the Gospel, spoken By Jesus Christ, and the Law Given through Moses, the book of the Mosaic Law is what we arent governed by any more. Jesus taught a different doctrine from the mosaic Law, a doctrine of Life to the sinner instead of death to the sinner such as was the Law. in John chapter 8 you see the scribes and pharisees are actually attempting to obey, the Mosaic Law regarding this situation.

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

Leviticus 20:10 "
And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even hethat committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death."

according to the law of moses, this woman is judged worthy of a death sentance, the sentance for adultery is stoning just as they said moses commnded. it was a commandment in the Law a precept. Jesus responds

"
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

now look at what happens because of His answer

9And they which heard it, being convicted by their ownconscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

in Light of mercy, Jesus doesnt follow the Laws precept that the adulterer must be stoned." instead He is teaching something else, something that doesnt point out and sentance us for what we have done wrong, but He forgives us of what we have done wrong, and then he calls us into repentance of the wrong, and teaches us the right. its different the Law is incapable of doing that to the adulterer, the liar, false witness, son who dishonors the parent ect...those things call for punishment alone under the law. its not that we dont have a law, we do, its just not the mosaic Law, its the gospel, the Law of the spirit of Life" and its different. one governs the first covenant between God and abrahams physical descendants, and the other governs the covenant made between God and man, mediated By Jesus Christ for salvation from the result of imperfect man charged with keeping a perfect Law....a death sentance. it is quite contrary note in Jesus sernmons when he contrasts " what they had been told long ago, but I jesus tell you this different thing..." we truly are dead to the mosaic Law and we should thank God for it because the Mosaic Law, is a witness against all who have ever sinned against the ten commandments covenant law in the ark.

deuteronomy 31:26 ""Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God. There it will remain as a witness against you."

so later paul says this

colossians 2 " Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;'

the book of the law contains roughly 300 -500 ordinances, commands, punishments, sacrificial laws , dietary Laws, mold control law, cleansing rites, special sabbath days that were kept in observance ...ect. the mosaic Law is opposed to imperfect people, the Gospel embraces the imperfect people shows them true Love, forgive thier wrongs, and calls them Home from the mire and slop of sin, like the prodigal, it just doesnt work when we disect the parts we dont like out of it. the reason and connection between us dying with Jesus, is because when a sinner dies, the law ends, the final punishment of the mosaic Law is the death sentance it contains upon sinners. the dead person is no longer punished according to the mosaic Law once you die, you have paid the penalty for your sin. this leaves the sinner no opportunity to repent. but if we diedm then we are free from the Law our debt is paid.

romans 7 "
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of herhusband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

4
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 5For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter."

th4e mosaic Law used to sit beside Gods presence in the tabernacle beside the ark and mercy seat, that has been taken by Jesus ( revelation 5: 1-7) and now of course Jesus, the word of God is seated at His side, and rather than a witness against us as the book of the Law, Jesus is there interceeding, and advocating for us still ( which again shows that its not a finished deal yet, he is still interceeding.

romans 8:34 "
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

the gospel is the covenant and Jesus is the High preist. His coming fulfilled the prophetic elements of the Law. the righteousness of the law is found uin the gospel its the =truth of the law seen as God intends rather than how satan intends. its for us in Christ, not against us as the Law of moses was.

luke 16:16 "
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Paul says Married to another ; Christ. So use a divorced woman as an example here : as God divorced Israel .

When a woman repents and is baptized by her faith ; she knows the Word, her body dies in the Lord , being raised a new creature free to remarry.
The restrictions, or penalties the law called for, are no longer in effect upon believe in the New Covenant, through Christ. We repent and move on with life.

Jeremiah 3: God divorced Israel, but when He died on the cross in the flesh,
then as believers we're part of the wedding , and are the bride of
Christ.
There is forgivness for divorces in this example ;
true repentance to the Father ;in Jesus name . God forgives us
. Hebrews 8:12 . The sin is gone .

When Paul says death, you have to grasp its a spiritual saying .
As Christians there is freedom from the penalties of the law.
The law says divorce is wrong : but when repentance is made ;
then even divorce is erased.

"freedom from the law

Romans 8:2" is the gift from God, of forgiveness.

None of the Bible says the law is gone . Many ignorantly believe the law is gone, because they get confused with these sayings given in a spiritual sense.

Christ paid a price, to give us Total forgiveness for all people who believe and accept His Words.

Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Galatians 3:2-3

2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

There is no power in the law to make those who attempt to follow it perfect. Those who come to Christ have abandoned this futile way. Only by Gods Own Authority is this possible.

Galatians 3:23-25

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

John 8:36
So if the Son shall set you free, you will be free indeed.

Romans 7:5-6

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Colossians 2:13-15

When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses, 14having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross! 15And having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Galatians 5:22-24
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no Law.24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Galatians 2:19
For through the Law I died to the Law so that I might live to God.

Romans 6:14
For sin will not rule over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.

John 15:5
I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.

Jeremiah 3: God divorced Israel, but when He died on the cross in the flesh,
then as believers we're part of the wedding , and are the bride of
Christ.
There is forgivness for divorces in this example ;
true repentance to the Father ;in Jesus name . God forgives us
. Hebrews 8:12 . The sin is gone .

no, see people speak of the Law as if they know what it says of things, and then they get off track this is the law of moses and what it says of divorce. you state that the "law" says its wrong...the law of moses says

dueteronomy 24 " When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. 2And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. 3And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife; 4Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD"

this is my point, the law says this about marriage. we dont have to try to guess what the law says it is written, Moses said if you get married and you are not happy for some reason, divorce your wife, and then she can re marry (and you) to other people. but if you both divorce again, you then cant re marry each other. this is what the mosaic Law says for marriage and divorce.

this is why the idea Jesus taught the Law is wrong Jesus said this

matthew 5:It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.:

do you see what i mean? theres no arguing that they are two different directives. you could never obey moses directive and freely divorce, freely remarry, and also follow Jesus directive do not divorce unless it is because of adultery, if you do you cause your wife to be an adulterer. "

to me, it doesnt seem like a far fetched thing to just simoly see the truth that the 2 doctrines are very different what Moses taught, and what Jesus taught. its like this at many points its contrary. yet, if you search in the Law of moses you will find the fundamental elements of the Gospel hidden within all of the harsh judgements and sentances upon the sinner. there is no opportunity for the adulterer to survive under the law, but under Grace, Jesus forgives Her and then instructs her to repent after He loves Her and saves Her.

Jesus did what He did for us first, but it doesnt exclude what He taught us. yes you are correct about divorce being something that if it is behind a person, they need to simply ask forgiveness, and pray that God bless thier marriage, because His death is for everything we have already done yesterday we cant change, today we can repent and tomorrow we can see the face of God in eternity.

because Jesus Loves us and we could none of us be forgiven for what we had already done, we already were guilty of sin and sentanced to death prior, thats the reason we needed salvation, wether a divorced person in the passed , a liar, a cheat, a thief, a violent person, an idolater, whatever the crime, we have all sinned and have all been condemned prior to Jesus offering salvation. when Jesus comes " the doctrine is " salvation" that word means there is a condemnation of some sort, man was not created needing to be saved. the only valid partion as far as authority in the Law, os nothing in the book, but the 10 commandments written by God and spoken By God Himself and put in the ark. the book was only ever a witnesss against sinners.

the law remains, WE died to the laws authority over us. thats what pauls whole teaching about us dying in the vbody of Christ is all about, and paul clearly explains it

He uses the examolke oif marriage, because in the law, if your husband died, the law of marriage ended and then you were no ;longer bound to the oath you took because " till death do we part" death ends the Law. in the law an adulterer, sentanced and executed, no plea, no im sorry, death sentance at the hands of Gods camp of people. the authority of the mosaic Law is for those who refuse to repent, the law remains until the new heaven and earth, Jesus words will never pass they are eternal. thats what He himself says.

the law remains, but we died and that ends our debt to the law. when a sinner is put to death under the mosaic Law, the Law has no more sentance, no more to say to the person. you sin, you are put to death , the end you rest in the earth until the messiah comes with life. the law is done with the sinner when they are executed. that is why it is essential that Jesus die for the sinners, we are all sentanced by law to death we were done for no hope and God made a way for us where we had no chance of life.

to obey Jesus we dont have to be perfect we already Know He loves us, we do have to accept His words as the Ones to believe and trust for salvation, paul and the apostles are awesome and expound alot to us from the gospel, the law and prophets are awesome because they show us what happened that man needed salvation, and we see the promise begin to milleniums before Jesus was born and fulfilled it all. but the crown Gem, the main attraction, the true North of scripture, the Light for understanding is the Gospel of the Kingdom spoken by Our Lord.

its not like law because it has the elements of " judge not, and you will not be judged. forgive, and you will be forgiven, give and it will be given to you in greater measure" the law does not have this principle. it says to not bear grudges and things, but theres no principle that says the way you are to others, is what you will receive. Jesus clearly is teaching this principle several times. the doctrine is perfect for us who are imperfect and it allows the patience of God and His forebearance to wokr with us as we begin to repent and follow the light of Jesus an the gospel.

the moment we repent in our hearts and accept His doctrine, were in Christ, even when we fail, even when we see teachings that make us feel convicted and like we need to change something in our life, we have to keep the things he said in us and trust that its true. His words are active they discern us inwardly. if oiur problem is lust, well notice His teachings about ridding our lives of it. and well at first feel conviction and even a bit of sorrow, if we just keep pressing forward in faith strength happens even when were stumbling in His doctrine, we can never forget His grace to us that even when we are walking in faith, we may stumble and begin to sink into the waves, but like peter as we follow we can still call out " Lord save me im sinking" and He will always answer ans set us back in the boat. the law we could call out " im sorry for my adultery or my false witness against that other guy"......and if there are 2 or 3 who witness against us, who sa the act or heard us admoit it, theres no repreve for the sinner. Jesus embraces them and teaches them the truth of Gods Word. 2 different doctrines

Judiasm, is the same today as then minus all of the sacrifice laws because there is no temple or altar hasnt been for 2000 years. christianity needs no temple to operate because we are the temple of God, as Jesus was His temple, so are we who have received the holy spirit. 2 differing religions one springs from the promises ofthe other.
