You know what I mean lol,the eye of the beholder deal.
This is Bible "discussion" folder and he wrote "discuss" his thoughts on Job 3 x times. Never did he write about only sharing his thoughts. I'm have had it up to my eyeballs with people like you attacking me. Now stick to discussing the issue instead of attacking me please.

before I read the rest of your posts (I read a few) I'd like to give my opinion on the book. My first impression is my goodness can everyone talk in this book! I thought Jobs speeches would last forever and I thought to myself several times is this almost over with? But in the Job was blessed even more which I thought was a good ending. What I got as the message was Trust God no matter how bad it seems. Thats what I got from it. One thing I dont understand and hope someone can explain is what did Jobs friends do wrong? I thought they all made good points
Allow me...(it's confusing at first)
1.his so called friends only came over at first to gawk at him which is why finally Job vented for awhile by himself.
2.3 out of 4(yes one friend didn't have to give to Job because he spoke well of God)did not "Speak truth of God thereby not Glorifying him".
3.the friends in the wrong spoke ill of Job

in Job's defense his friends were accusing him of being a sinner or his kids being sinners and thus deserving to be punished, which God shows is a lie. He wasn't being punished for his sins at all.

i would like to read your thoughts on Job. I have been studying the book myself but haven't been able to put to words all my thoughts in any coherent form.

the main thing i have been looking at is the lies that Job's friends told and the main thing I got is they accused Job of sin when that wasn't the case at all and they accuse God of punishing Job when God was NOT punishing Job at all but allowing a testing of Job's faith.

Job does get depressed and wishes for death but he also looks for a Redeemer and a Mediator to speak on his behalf. We can praise God that HE sent us Christ Jesus to be our Redeemer and Mediator.

personally I believe Elihu is also a mediator and prophet that announces God's presence, but others accuse him of being worst than Job's three friends. I wonder what you believe? But that isn't until Chapter 32 so maybe in a few days.
I agree with you he seemed to be the most intent on snapping him out of it he seemed to have the best speech

Well back then losing all your crops and your entire family dying and especially having sores all over your body or really being plague with massive illness was a sign of sin and I think his friends having this mentality thought it was the logical reason for his suffering, however they were not aware of the situation that actually happening and so falsely spoke. tbh I myself am confused about this, I mean yes Job's integrity as a righteous upright person is a clear sign of his being right when he said he didn't sin but at the same time I don't know how god expected his friends to know what was happening due to the mentality of how all that happened to job is a sign of sin.

where am I "attacking you"?
I simply was stating that Monnkai is stating and discussing "his view" on the book of Job.

No, they didn't :
After the Lord had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken accurately about me, as my servant Job has.

Yep God was upset at them instead of Job because he was a faithful servant where as his 3 friends out of 4 spoke wrong.

Agree, Job never sinned, never was he rude. In fact:

Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, their righteousness would save no one but themselves, says the Sovereign Lord .

If they had received that stamp of approval from God without the Holy Spirit how much more is the standard for us today?

Yeah though our works don't save we still must serve when called on.

Don't dumb it down with philosophy. Job, Jesus and the Apostles were not immoral sinners.
What philosophy?
it's "biblical" we "today" can only be saved by accepting Jesus as Saviour and Lord but with him as our master we are to serve faithfully just as those you mentioned.

I'd like to share my thoughts on Job particularly his friends,it to me was pretty unfriend like of them to just "sit there and stare" at Job for so long in my opinion I understand he had boils from head to toe but come on if a friend is down you ought to cheer them up or at least talk to them.

We are to be like them not less than them. Job didn't have the Holy Spirit but we do.

Well joefizz, they did not know that Job did not sin. Like Blain said they were just observing, and stated that maybe Job had a secret sin. They thought that God wouldn't let those things happen unless sin were present. What we know now: is God can do anything He wants. That is why the story is preserved to glorify God. I just people wouldn't draw major doctrine from seldom used phrases like "Sons of God."

For whoever gave me the Rep,no this isn't all I do though I practically live here,I have a job double shift twice a week,I try to stay up with my mentally disturbed uncle and read him God's word,I do chores, buy food, play video games, watch tv,go on Christian chat the app for more bible discussion and fellowship, and if I feel like I have around six or more other Christian Chat style sites that I discuss on and try to lead souls to God/Jesus.
Also I go to church,I write church songs for God through the holy spirit,I have a memory teachings composition that I strive to finish though it's tough with my family typically driving me up the wall, brush my teeth, eat, shower, and try to get sleep at night though I sleep better in the day time.(all of this is in no particular order)

Also now my sabbath Sunday is over with so I'm at liberty to play pokemon or a video game or some such,(I observe my Sabbath of Sunday by not playing any video games except animal crossing(a game about life and responsibility),nor watching any shows that are even remotely questionable spiritually except for the living room tv shows that my family watches that can't be changed necessarily all of it being my personal tribute to God/Jesus.and though I might just go to sleep instead.
