i know it’s a great sin to denounce Jesus, i want to become a pastor, i want to do ministry work; However, persecution is a real problem over here. Help.

Your not denouncing Jesus, nor are you denying him. Jesus said, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you" (Matthew 7:6). You wrote; "
I stopped preaching the word of God, out of fear for my life".. That sounds like the prudent thing to do. The verse you quoted (Matthew 10:23) makes it clear that Jesus said to flee those who would persecute you. Jesus didn't force feed his message, he preached to people who came to hear him. In Matthew 11:15, he said; "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear", not "He that hath ears, make him hear". So don't feel guilty about denying anything, your surrounded by a society that would harm you, and it does no good to profess Jesus if your dead.. jmo

7777Pinacled,
the Muslim to Christian population in Egypt is 9:1; In other words, if you go to the police station, you will be met with a police officer who would persecute you even more lol.
the government in here entices such acts of violence because its in the Egyptian law that “Sharia law is the main source of legislation”.
So now you are amused at the fact you have had your life threatened?

"Whistle"

MarcR,
It used to be simple to travel and start all over in a more tolerant society, but then the whole “Syrian refugees” situation happened and many countries started taking extreme precautions against receiving Arab immigrants, which is pretty understandable and smart of them if I’m gonne be completely honest with you.
If you can get into Chad, you would at least be unknown and from Chad it would be easier to to enter Nigeria or Camaroon which should be much safer than Egypt.

You could say that you are Christian without mentioning your Muslim background and say that Christians are experiencing difficulties in Egypt that you would like to avoid.

Keep studying God’s Word. Learn how to walk in wisdom in this world. God will put His shield around you and protect you from your enemies. When God leads you to speak, speak with all your heart. He will bring to your memory the words you have learned from His Word and you can help others who are in the same situation as you and who are in desperate need.

Psalm 91 is such a comfort to read when we are surrounded by enemies:

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Truth, Love, and Newness of Life

Why Muslims become Christians

For some of these brothers and sisters it is important that the area where they live now, or where they originally come from, is not too closely identified to ensure either their own safety or that of their families. Others do not have as great safety concerns and a country name is given. Many of these believers from Muslim background are "online" and welcome your response. Those with email are listed first in each category. A * after the name means the testimony is available in several languages, usually English and the native language of the convert. Most of the testimonies were written by former orthodox and practicing Muslims, some came from a nominal or sectarian Muslim background.

Exactly, and thankyou very much for posting this.

How are the readers from congregation living elsewhere in other countries expected to believe that the, "punishment for apostasy is death". When information is publically offered that refutes this claim.
Because lazy people who sit nice and comfortably in their homes and don't have fear of being imprisoned or killed for their beliefs somehow think they know what they're talking about.

That would be good advice if Google were information driven.
But Google is a media advertising platform first and foremost.
Small busness owners are fully aware of this.

You spoke of a tree without soil. Yikes!

As a reminder to the readers,
john44 mentioned far more than simply not having a place to fellowship with Believers.
More excuses than Carter has Little Pills.

I prefer to keep the words of a false prophet as far away as the fireplace.

Have you been personally threatened?
Reported as a lie with no truth in it whatsoever.

He's a tree without soil. He lost his people as surely as the first generation Christian lost their land. How is he getting rooted?

At least they had each other. He doesn't even have that.
In God and in his faith.

Brother have you looked into any educational training?
From his previous thread.....

http://christianchat.com/new-christ...-naive-could-i-actually-achieve-my-dream.html

Hello,
There are thousands of ways to try and talk about this, yet none of them would seem like the right way. I have been searching for a God, any God, any meaning behind life, i devoted the last 7 years of my life for that purpose and i finally found and accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. It was a long road worthy of every second of research.
I’m finally a proud Christian and no day passes by without me crying from extreme joy that God has blessed me with the ability to hear and see him in my heart after all these years. I was born a Muslim yet somehow i was able to see lord Jesus despite of all the hatred i have been fed towards him, the road to jesus has taken me seven long years, so i decided i will completely devote my life to my lord and become a pastor, i will spread his word and make it reach lost kids because I wasn’t afford that, i wanna make these 7 years shorter for other lost children of God, only problem is that I’m an Egyptian lawyer and i know that i cant officially become a Christian without my life being ruined, i aspire to become a pastor yet I can’t even be formally baptized....talk about sarcasm
There’s only one thing harder than not being able to find God, it’s finding God and not being able to practice your faith...
Thus...... Here’s my dream, I’m compeletely letting go of My previous life and im going to join a Master of Divinity program in the US ( because if people in here knew i converted they might kill me or assault my family ) in order to become a pastor; However, I dont know if i will be allowed to serve God in any church, given my Arab-Muslim past?
i want to devote myself but is it legally allowed ?
Any advice ?
Am i naive or could I actually achieve my dream ?
1. He mentions wanting to emigrate to the US to study for a master of Divinity....

Seems inconsistent with his current statements

From Waggles: Are you seeking to emigrate to the U.S.A. ??

From OP:
3- im not seeking to emigrate anywhere, i just wanna serve God and get an answer to a wuestion that is keeping me up at night, will God forgive a sinner who denounces him !?

..,,,,..

So what changed with the plans for divinity school?

Were you seeking someone to sponsor you to come to the US?

After you got your masters of Divinity what were your plans.., to to back to Egypt or stay in the US?

I personally value honesty and typically believe others but when the facts don't match....I have to throw a flag up.

I can believe a Muslim convert would have death threats by family if they found out he converted to Christianity.

Hmmmm...,going to give it to God in prayer.
