John 5:28-30, “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth – those who have done* righteousness, to the resurrection of life, and those who have practiced* evil matters, to a resurrection of judgment. Of Myself I am unable to do any matter. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own desire, but the desire of the Father who sent Me.”

Mark 16:16, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

James 1:22, “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”

James 2:17, "So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead."

James 2:22, "Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?"

Mat 7:21-27, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’” Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be like a wise man who built his house on the rock, and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not do them, shall be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand, and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and great was its fall.”

John/Yahanan 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day.”

John 14:23-24, "יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me.”

2 Peter 2:20-22, “For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Master and Saviorיהושע Messiah, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the set-apart Command delivered unto them. For them the proverb has proved true, “A dog returns to his own vomit,” (Pro 26:11) and, “A washed sow returns to her rolling in the mud.”

Psalm 69:27-28, “Add iniquity to their iniquity! Let them not come into Your righteousness! May they be blotted out of The Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous!”

He who overcomes

Revelation 3:5, “He who overcomes, the same will be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name from The Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His malakim.”

John/Yahanan 15:5-16, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, produces much fruit; but without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch, and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and letting My words; abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it will be done for you. In this is My Father glorified: when you produce much fruit; and in this way you become My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you; continue in My love. If you keep My Commands, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's Commands, and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be complete. This is My Command: Love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: that one would lay down his life on behalf of his brothers. You are My brothers, if you do whatever I command you.”

Hebrews 3:7-19, “Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice," do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tried Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years. Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways. As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest...” Look out, brothers, lest there be in any of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Father, but encourage one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened by the desirableness of sin. For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end, while it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” For who, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh? And with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey? So we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief.”

James 2:26, "For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so belief without works is dead also."

James 2:14, “My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him.”

Hebrews 6:4-12, “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Set-apart Spirit, and have tasted the good Word of the Mighty One and the powers of the age to come, and fall away, to renew them again to repentance – having impaled for themselves the Son of the Mighty One again, and put Him to open shame. For ground that is drinking the rain often falling on it, and is bearing plants fit for those by whom it is tilled, receives blessing from the Mighty One, but if it brings forth thorns and thistles, it is rejected and near to being cursed, and ends up by being burned. But although we speak in this way, beloved, we are persuaded, concerning you, of better matters which possess deliverance. For the Mighty One is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His Name, in that you have attended to the set-apart ones, and still attend. And we desire that each one of you show the same eagerness, to the entire confirmation of expectation until the end, in order that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through belief and patience inherit the promises."

James 2:22, "Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?"

James 2:24, "You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone."

James 1:22-25, “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does."

Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matt 24:12-13, “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”

Hebrews 10:36, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of Yah you may receive what is promised.”

Hebrews 3:14, “For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end.”

Revelation 3:12, "He who overcomes, I will make a pillar in The House of My Father, and he will never go out of it. And I will write upon him the Name of My Father, and the Name of the New Yerusalem which comes down out of heaven from My Father, newly named."

For scripture interprets scripture, and nobody can preach or teach differently than what Yahshua already taught, and He Himself said He taught the doctrine of YHWH. What is promised to us is eternal life, so once again; once you have done the will of Yah in your life, in the resurrection you receive it. Not before.

James 1:12, "Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him."

Revelation 3:21, “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death."

Matt 11:27-30, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. And no one fully knows the Son except the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Father, except the Son and those whom YHWH wills the Son to reveal. Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light"

you who are afflictedrest with us when the Master יהושע is revealed from heaven with His mighty messengers”

This is till future;

2 Thessalonians 1:5-10, “Clear evidence of the righteous judgment of יהוה, in order for you to be counted worthy of the reign of יהוה, for which you also suffer, since יהוה shall rightly repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give you who are afflictedrest with us when the Master יהושע is revealed from heaven with His mighty messengers, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know יהוה, and on those who do not obey the Good News of our Master יהושע Messiah, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Master and from the esteem of His strength, when He comes to be esteemed in His set-apart ones and to be admired among all those who believe in that Day, because our witness to you was believed.”

Revelation 14:13, "And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"

John 3:3-6, “Yahshua answered, and said to him: Truly, truly, I say to you: Unless a man is reborn from above, he cannot see the Kingdom of YHWH. Nicodemus said to Him; How can a man be reborn when he is old? Can he enter the womb of his mother the second time, and be born? Yahshua answered: Truly, truly, I say to you: “Unless a man is begotten of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of YHWH. That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; but that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.”

This is born again;

1 Peter 1:3-9, “Blessed be the Strength and Father of our Master יהושע Messiah, who according to His great compassion has caused us to be born again to a living expectation through the resurrection of יהושע Messiah from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, having been kept in the heavens for you, who are protected by the power of Yah through belief, for a deliverance ready to be revealed in the last time, in which you exult, even though for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by manifold trials, in order that the proving of your belief – much more precious than gold that perishes, and proven by fire – might be found to result in praise and respect and esteem at the revelation of יהושע Messiah, whom having not seen, you love; in whom you exult with unspeakable and esteemed joy, yet not seeing, but believing, obtaining the goal of your belief: a deliverance of lives.”

1 Peter 1:23, "Having been begotten, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of Yah, which lives and remains forever."

1 Corinthians 15:51-55, “See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible has to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality. And when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall come to be the word that has been written, “Death is swallowed up in overcoming. O Death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your overcoming?”

This is salvation:

Mat 24:29-31, “Immediately, but after the tribulation of those days will the sun be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His malakim with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of earth to the other.”

The second birth or being reborn is in reality receiving a spirit body that is eternal in incorruptible, as shown above.

Psalm 16:11, “You show me the path of life; In Your presence is joy to satisfaction; At Your right hand are pleasures forever."

Psalm 16:8-10, “I have set יהוה always before me; Because He is at my right hand I am not shaken. Therefore my heart was glad, and my esteem rejoices; My flesh also dwells in safety. For You do not leave my being in She’ol (the grave), Neither let Your Lovingly-committed One see corruption.”

Isaiah 26:19-20, “Let Your dead live, together with my dead body, let them arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; for Your dew is a dew of light, and let the earth give birth to the departed spirits. Go, my people, enter your rooms, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little while, until the displeasure is past.”

Hosea 6:1-3, “Come, and let us turn back to יהוה. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us up. After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him. So let us know, let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.”

Daniel 12:1-3, “Now at that time Miḵa’yl shall stand up, the great head who is standing over the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation, until that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book, and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth wake up, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches, everlasting abhorrence. And those who have insight shall shine like the brightness of the expanse, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.”

Psalms 49:14-15, “Like sheep they shall be laid in She’ol; Death shall shepherd them; And the upright rule over them in the morning; And their form is consumed in She’ol, Far from their dwelling. But the Mighty One does redeem my being From the power of She’ol (the grave), For He does receive me. Selah.”

What most people think is as being born again is actually being given a new heart;

What most
people consider born again is actually this (a renewed Spirit, His Spirit upon us);

1 John 3:24, “And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us,
by the Spirit which He gave us.”

Ezekiel 36:26-28, "
A new heart, will I also give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments, and do them. And you will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you will be My people, and I will be your Father."

Ezekiel 11:19-21, “And I shall give them one heart, and
put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, so that they walk in My laws, and guard My right-rulings, and shall do them. And they shall be My people and I shall be their Strength. But to those whose hearts walk after the heart of their disgusting matters and their abominations, I shall recompense their deeds on their own heads,” declares the Master יהוה.”

Jeremiah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says YHWH:
I will put My Law (Torah/Instructions) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH:
I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”

Luke 21:28, “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Mat 11:27-30, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father.

Jeremiah 6:16-17, “Thus said יהוה, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for yourselves.” But they said, We do not walk in it.’ “And I raised up watchmen over you, and said, ‘Listen to a voice of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We do not listen.’

Mat 25:23, “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”

Lamentations 3:40, “Let us search and examine our ways, And turn back to יהוה."

Acts 3:19, "Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out; that times of refreshing may come from the presence of YHWH."

Isaiah 1:16-20, “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Stop doing evil! Learn to do good! Seek right-ruling, reprove the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together,” says יהוה. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you submit and obey, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword,” for the mouth of יהוה has spoken.”

Acts 17:30, “Truly, then, having overlooked these times of ignorance, Yah now commands all men everywhere to repent.”

Isaiah 44:22, “I shall wipe out your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I shall redeem you.”

1 John 1:5-10, “And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that YHWH is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and are not doing the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of יהושע Messiah His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are misleading ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is trustworthy and righteous to forgive us the sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us."

Ezekiel 18:20-32, “The being who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the crookedness of the father, nor the father bear the crookedness of the son. The righteousness of the righteous is upon himself, and the wrongness of the wrong is upon himself. But the wrong, if he turns from all his sins which he has done, and he shall guard all My laws, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness, he shall certainly live, he shall not die. All the transgressions which he has done shall not be remembered against him – in his righteousness that he has done, he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wrong?” declares the Master יהוה. “Is it not that he should turn from his ways, and live? But when a righteous one turns away from his righteousness and does unrighteousness, according to all the abominations that the wrong one has done, shall he live? All his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered. For his trespass which he has committed, and for his sin which he has committed, for them he shall die. And you said, ‘The way of יהוה is not right.’ Hear now, O house of Yisra’yl, is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right? When a righteous one turns away from his righteousness, and does unrighteousness, and he dies in it, it is because of his unrighteousness which he has done that he dies. And when the wrong turns away from the wrong which he has done, and he does right-ruling and righteousness, he keeps himself alive. Because he sees and turns away from all the transgressions which he has done, he shall certainly live, he shall not die. And the house of Yisra’yl have said, ‘The way of יהוה is not right.’ Are My ways not right, O house of Yisra’yl? Is it not your ways that are not right? Therefore I judge you, O house of Yisra’yl, every one according to his ways,” declares the Master יהוה. “Repent, and turn back from all your transgressions, and let not crookedness be a stumbling-block to you. Cast away from you all the transgressions, by which you have transgressed, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Yisra’yl? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” declares the Master יהוה. “So turn back and live!”

Isaiah 55:6-7, “Seek YHWH while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near; Let the wicked forsake his own way and the unrighteous man his own thoughts. Let him return to YHWH, and He will have mercy upon him; return to our Father, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

Matt 13:41-43, "The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear."

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

John 10:9, “I am the gate. Whoever enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and find pasture.”

Him you shall hear.’ This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the Messenger who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received the living Words to give to us.”

John/Yahanan 5:46-47, "For had you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, for he wrote about Me*. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

*Mosheh wrote:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, "I (YHWH) will raise up for them a Prophet (Yahshua/Jesus) like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. Whoever will not listen to My words, which He speaks in My Name, I will judge him for it"

Revelation 22:11-15, “He who does wrong, let him do more wrong; he who is filthy, let him be more filthy; he who is righteous, let him be more righteous; he who is set-apart, let him be more set-apart. And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work. “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.”

James 1:12, “Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him.”

John 12:25-26, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life shall lose it, and he who hates his life in this world shall preserve it for everlasting life." Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”

Matthew 25:1, “Then the reign of the heavens shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five foolish. Those who were foolish, having taken their lamps, took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their containers with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom took time, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard, ‘See, the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him!’ Then all those maidens rose up and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, indeed, there would not be enough for us and you. Instead, go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. And later the other maidens also came, saying, ‘Master, Master, open up for us!’ But he answering, said, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you. Watch therefore, because you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Aḏam is coming,"

Mat 25:31-46, “And when the Son of Aḏam comes in His esteem, and all the set-apart messengers with Him, then He shall sit on the throne of His esteem. And all the nations shall be gathered before Him, and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the Sovereign shall say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the reign prepared for you from the foundation of the world for I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me. Then the righteous shall answer Him, saying, ‘Master, when did we see You hungry and we fed You, or thirsty and gave You to drink? And when did we see You a stranger and took You in, or naked and clothed You? And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and we came to You? And the Sovereign shall answer and say to them, ‘Truly, I say to you, in so far as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me. He shall then also say to those on the left hand, ‘Go away from Me, accursed ones, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his messengers for I was hungry and you gave Me no food, I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, was naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me. Then they also shall answer Him, saying, ‘Master, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not serve You? Then He shall answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, in so far as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.”

Malachi 3:14-18, “You have said, ‘It is worthless to serve Yah. And what did we gain when we guarded His Charge, and when we walked as mourners before יהוה of hosts? And now we are calling the proud blessed – not only are the doers of wrongness built up, but they also try Yah and escape. Then shall those who fear יהוה speak to one another, and יהוה listens and hears, and a book of remembrance be written before Him, of those who fear יהוה, and those who think upon His Name. And they shall be Mine,” said יהוה of hosts, “on the day that I prepare a treasured possession. And I shall spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him. Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wrong, between one who serves Yah and one who does not serve Him."

All that to say nothing. Do you really think anyone will read all those posts?

You must make it short and to the point. Simply being verbose does not make you correct.

Anyone can cut and paste bible verses. It does nto mean they have any idea of what those verses actually say, And people reading them have no way to discern what you are trying to say unless you tell us yourself.

He has been told that numerous times, but as you can see, He does nto care.

Yes the first post I made was short and to the point. I then said I would add Scriptures showing and expanding on what I said in the following posts. And yes people who come to a Bible Discussion Forum for truly sharing in the word, I would expect to read it, those who come to mock or to grandstand I would not expect to read it. To me this is a big issue of the believers today, most I have met never really read, study and meditate on His word. Bottom line it is for who it is for.

You can lose your salvation, of course.
Right! Just like you can lose your keys, your hat, or your gloves!

People who believe or teach that genuine Christians -- children of God -- can lose their salvation need to sit down and study what the Bible has to say about God, about Christ, about the finished work of Christ, about the many facets of salvation, about the true meaning of salvation, and why God offers salvation to undeserving sinners.

Probably not. It does look as if you would profit from an improved study methodology. The one you are employing now really isn't working.

Oh wait study is only efficacious when it is led by the Holy Spirit.

That is why the church is in such a condition that it is in these last days.
Can that which Is Incorruptible become corrupted?

When we got saved we were born AGAIN of INCORRUPTIBLE seed, right?

It Is the Spirit that gives life ,not the flesh.

Many are putting their trust In what they DO although we should renew our minds to the new person we have become.

Remember,Paul said,I have wronged no man.

:)In other words,be righteousness conscience.

Salvation is lost by rejecting God after being spirit filled. Adam and Eve rejected God and the spirit of holliness departed from them, also King Saul rejected God after being spirit filled and it departed from him as well. David sinned a lot, and repented a lot ,but he never rejected God. He remained spirit filled.

Bingo!

Salvation is based upon belief and confession and nothing else. And God says belief and confession are NOT acts of works. The ONLY way it could ever happen is if someone stops believing and confessing. See, God says what He will do, which is NEVER turn us away because of our works. But He also says what WE must do - persevere in belief and confession to the end. But a lot of people don't like to hear that, so they ignore all the looong posts of God's word that show EXACTLY what God says about it.

OSAS'ers, you CANNOT ignore these scriptures that say you must PERSEVERE TO THE END. You MUST find a way to encompass them in your beliefs. Even if they are a bit long winded. And counter to what you have believe for so many years.

And again, for 99% of us here, IT'S NEVER GOING TO BE AN ISSUE ANYWAY!

Either that, or buy an MRV from me. It's now been updated to include the OSAS issue. :)

Salvation is lost by rejecting God after being spirit filled.
This is your wild guess. You will not find any Scripture for this idea.
Adam and Eve rejected God and the spirit of holliness departed from them...
This is imaginary and imaginative, but again you will not find this in Scripture. Adam and Eve were created innocent, but chose to DISOBEY God. They did not reject God as you suggest,
also King Saul rejected God after being spirit filled and it departed from him as well.
In Old Testament times, the Spirit rested upon people temporarily. It is only after Pentecost that believers received the gift of the Holy Spirit with His indwelling within their spirits. Being Spirit-filled is a separate issue. Saul disobeyed God and forfeited his kingship as well as his fellowship with God.
David sinned a lot, and repented a lot ,but he never rejected God. He remained spirit filled.
So what you are saying is that even though David sinned, he did not lose his salvation. And that is the key to understanding why salvation cannot be "lost". Fellowship with God -- on the other hand -- can be lost temporarily through sin.

you know, for some reason, the Bible assures us we can actually be assured of our salvation

it's not 50% chance of hitting the target...Jesus hit the target for us dead center

we are not judged for our salvation in Christ Jesus. our righteous standing before God has been obtained by His Son

to whom it may concern: just addressing the above.

not digging up the vast final resting places of similar threads...but the op should do that...lots of info ...

You are quite correct, the Bible assures that Christians are assured of salvation. But my point was about the assurance of being a Christian.

The Bible clearly records the concept of the false assurance of being a Christian. Since this concept is possible, presenting scriptures that proclaim the assurance of Christians in general does not guarantee salvation on a personal or individual basis. This decision is left to God on Judgement Day.

You can lose salvation in that you can FORFEIT salvation by going back to the world in unbelief.

Most Christians it seems do not realize that it is possible to stray from a sincere faith.

"a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6For some men, straying from these things"-1 Timothy 1:5-6

Many in the church take false comfort in a false gospel that teaches that you can not lose faith or salvation. And now we even have this radicalized version of once saved always saved that says you don't even have to continue to believe to be saved. It used to be universally understood that the person who doesn't believe is not saved. Not anymore.

Only those who grow to the fourth type of soil in the Parable of the Sower persevere to the very end and can not lose their salvation. Their roots go down deep and they know Christ intimately and show that intimacy of knowing by the fruit they produce. They are secure in their salvation. It is the immature second and third types of soil believers who can go back to unbelief and lose their salvation. They lack the intimacy of knowing that bonds the believer to Christ.

I would almost 'like' this post except I think it important to distinguish between the mature Spirit filled believer who 'knows' Christ and produces the fruit of Christ and the not so mature believer.

Once you get to a certain level of maturity-the place of 'knowing' Christ intimately as evidenced by perseverance in fruit bearing-you do not go back to unbelief. Until then you're open game and you have to be diligent to continue to believe and grow in maturity and not take false comfort in a once saved always saved doctrine.
