It describes who the 144,000 people are,12,000 people of each tribe of Israel,except Dan,which that tribe is the one that introduced idolatry to Israel,and was replaced with Manasseh(Revelation chapter 7).

The 144,000 is symbolic of the whole Church, and is not a literal number. It is not intended to state how many saints will be in heaven, or during any future great tribulation in Israel that may or may not happen in the future. Revelation is not to be misinterpreted in a chiliastic, fundamentalist, antinomian, premillennial, dispensationalist, anti-Semitic (Christian) Zionist way. That is heresy. We should be Christians, but not Christian Zionists. Israel has a right to exist, without getting into Zionism, which would mean Jews only in Palestine. Christians and Moslems have a right to live in these areas too, and in Israel itself. The Bible is not an anti-Arab, or an anti-Jewish document. All people should be peacemakers. According to the Sermon on the mount, Matthew 5. All people should be Christians, but unfortunately, few heed the Gospel and become saved (John 3:16).

Who are the 144,000?

The 144,000 is spoken of in Revelation chapter 7; chapter 14:3, and 21:16,17:
Revelation 1:1 begins by telling us this is for 'his servants things which must shortly come to pass'; So, right away we understand that this important book will not be opened to those in the past for understanding till God himself allows it to be opened. We don't look to men for understanding only God.

Revelation 7:3; "Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
Keep in mind the word 'in' for we see it again in Revelation 13:16 and 14:9; (KJV) "And he casuseth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their forheads: (14:9) "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand."
Jesus warned us many times to be aware of the scribes (Mark 12:38). Warning after warning of those who take the Truth of God and twist it. New Versions will do that. I've kepted to the KJV for it has over 400 years of blood on it and I will honor their sacrifice. So we see the 'in' now has been changed to 'on.'
When the bible says 'in' keep in mind this is a spiritual battle. Satan has changed it from spiritual now to a physical battle. What is it he wants to hid is what has been programed in our thinking for the last days. What is in our mind? Jesus said he was the Truth. If what we have come to be programed to believe for generations it is Satan's great trumpet for it is not Truth and lies will not get us into the Kingdom. Doctrine is what this battle is all about.

Revelation 7 remember mentions:
"the servants of God" This does mention that they are physical Jews nor are they brought back to a physical homeland.
Remember that Jesus is the cornerstone. The foundation for the Kingdom.
The twelve deciples are the gates which are taking the gospel to the world. (Revelation 21:12
The 144,000 (Revelation 21:17) are those who are rebuilding the walls which are the understanding of the Truth
This is the building of a spiritual city. New Jerusalem is spiritual not a physical city.


Revelation 14:3; "And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth."

The 144,000 Jews who refuse to follow or worship Antichrist during the 70th week and for that reason flee into the wilderness of Edom before the great tribulation by antichrist. They are also referred to as "the woman". They are the first fruits of Israel to come to Christ after the rapture of the church and will be sealed for protection and salvation simultaneously with, or immediately following, the rapture, just before the day of the Lord begins.

27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins(Romans 11:25-27).

The 144,000 are christian God asked to stay after the rapture to spread the truth to the church goers and help their belief and not to get the mark. It is better to die with God on their lips than to go to the lake of fire.

Hi dusty. Yes its true, better not to get the mark and die with God than go to the lake of fire. So true.

But I have a little brain teaser for you!

If the 144,000 are to stay after the 'rapture' then why are they called Christs firstfruits? (rev 14:4) Firstfruits, means FIRST, not last? They should be picked up first.

When exactly? I'll put a new thread on soon and we can all work it out together, because I'm not too sure on this one, as its a brain teaser for me also.

do not for get that ''eventually'' all isreal will be saved. what is left over all will be saved.
eventually israel will be above all the nations, but must be punished first.
and many will be destroyed. the wicked wont make it.
