WHAT IS THAT SONG?
In the book of Revelation there are two songs:
NEW SONG: these are the firstfruits the 144,000
Revelation 5:9,10; "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nations' (10) And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."
Isaiah 62:12; "And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken." Notice: it says 'A city' which is future tense. (I Peter 2:5,9)
Revelation 14:3,4; "And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth(John 3:31). (4) These are they which are not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed(Isaiah 42:10) from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb."
This first group we read:
Psalms 40:3; "And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord."
Psalms 33:3; "Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise."
Psalms 98:1; "O Sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory,"
Psalms 96:1; "O song unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth."
Psalms 144:9; "I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltry and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee."
Psalms 149:1; "Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saint."
Isaiah 42:10; "Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof."
SONG OF MOSES
Revelation 15:3; "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and mavelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints."
This second group is told:
Isaiah 24:9; "They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it."
Deuteronomy 31:21; "And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware."
Revelation 15:2; "And I saw as it were a sea of glass (Rev.4:6)mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of is name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God."
(as they did after crossing the Red Sea)
Isaiah 14:7; "The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing."
Why are they at rest? Could it possibly be because these are those who gave their lives during the great tribulation?
Isaiah 26:1; "In that day(tribulation day) shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks."
Isaiah 42:8,9; "Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them." (a new wine, new understanding)
