Scripture never calls teaching prophecy. To do so is to negate the word of God and reduce the manifestation of the Spirit to something that can be done with natural intellect.
huh,,,,,There is a difference between prophecy and preaching, they are close but not the same.

gift of prophecy is not seeing the future just to let you know......just saying

Ah Crazy4God

Prophecy is speaking God's words via direct revelations to His people and church. God has limited how His Modern day Prophet/prophetess speak by using the Holy Bible to reveal the words we are to speak.

The difference between teaching and prophecy is that the person does not always know WHY we are to speak the words into another person's life just that God wants them to HEAR and SEE those words.

That is the difference between a prophet and a teacher. the teacher knows why they speak and teach. The prophet just speaks the Words of God and should never contradict the revealed or written word of God that is why they must test all spirits and must first learn the spiritual gifts of discernment, knowledge and wisdom before being given the gift of prophecy. Otherwise they will fall to the attacks of the demons.

truthfully i prefer to be a teacher than a prophetess. I like knowing the WHY of things, lol. I guess its the scientist in me.

In this case, I am not talking about one becoming a prophet, but receiving the gift of prophecy from the Holy Spirit. This is simply speaking as one hears from God.

you study the prophesies, and let God decide what he wants to give you.
prophesies are there to be revealed to us,so go for it.

''wakeup''.
