If the music is truly in the Word, the metal cannot alter anything.

I read his comment and I agree with him. It wasn't judgmental. These are judgmental:

Here are some pretty serious accusations by someone who doesn't examine the content of the music, he simple passes ignorant prejudgments on those who listen to Christian metal and even compared us to demon worshipers. He will be held accountable for this. You go on to say:

No. Shame on you Cino. You twist scripture. You can't even provide us with scripture to back up your points. The same is true on the tattoo thread. You are replaying everything you've heard all your life without looking for yourself. You are the one who has convinced yourself that everything -you- listen to is ok. Like none of the emo feel good music you listen to doesn't alter your mood at all? C'mon, stop lying to yourself. You make the claim that Christian metal is about "evil, sex, or anything else other than God". Have you even taken 5 minutes to examine one Christian metal song, or have you been too hard-headed and stuck on your own brainwashed belief that these are what the lyrics represent?

Then you go on to call all those who listen to this music, and I quote, "no truly a Christian". Again, shame on you Cino and all the others who are thinking like you. Have you examined the content of your music to see if it really lines up with the Word? Do you know how deceptive your easy listening music can be? Do you listen to even one worldly song? If so, I can say you are as conformed, or even MUCH more so than those who like the Christian metal genre. Then you make some more claims:

I can see Jesus at a Christian metal concert and having a good time with the people there worshiping. Since when are you the judge of God? There is no biblical reference that condemns a SOUND in any way. Can you please show me, with your VAST understanding of the Bible, where this is located so I can see for myself and perhaps repent of my "evil, sexual" music? You can't. Who says how you praise and worship is the only way? We do it with joy and with praise and with complete sincerity. We aren't trying to please you or others. We are pleasing God and take joy in the gift of grace and salvation that he has allowed us to be apart of.

Again, shame on YOU Cino and your lack of knowledge and inability to see past the tip of your nose. You prove to me using scripture how this is evil and I will accept your correction and repent. until you can do that, you have nothing to say other than your rude comments about how we are all devil worshipers and not Christians.
And I never said you or anyone else are devil worshippers. Please stop putting words in my mouth.

I thought this might be appropriate from another thread:
And what does my post on David have to do with Christian metal? NOTHING. If you are trying to say that God looks at the heart and doesn't care about listening to Christian metal, then read about David again. HIS HEART WAS TO REPENT FROM HIS SIN. Not hard hearted like some are. David did his sin before he humbled himself to God and repented... NOT after he was in good standing with God. Don't try to mix the two together.

the 'spirit of anger' is more a result of seeing such closedmindedness and not over what is said. your opinion honestly mean diddly-squat to most people in this thread. You can crow about metal being bad til the cows come home, but not one person is going to lend a serious ear. You stand for the oppressed and scared faction of christianity that refuses to view change as anything but negative. meanwhile christianity has left you behind expanding into venues trying to reach unsaved people that you probably just view as satanic.

i like how its only people over 40 against christian metal for the most part...its more likely they are scared of change and different new music than anything else.
I resemble that remark... haha...

Truly, I think God can , will and does use anything to reach out.. including metal. God's Word is the KEY.

Well, you have no idea what my view is. I do not view people as satanic. I do view Satan and any of his actions as satanic, yes. There is just no more fear of God in this world, and that is why people try to justify doing things that are against the word of God. You are right in saying that nobody is lending a serious ear, and that is because people are blind and do not want to hear the truth. That's ok, think what you will, but in the end, all will see if God really thinks it is ok or not. I am not the judge, but God is.

Pray about it. It doesn't matter what every Tom, Dick or Harry says. That said, if I can't understand the words...in any kind of Christian music, then it's bad to me. The message is the whole purpose. No matter if its Christian country, rock, rap, gospel, or even southern gospel. I have seen so many singers who seem to only be singing so people can hear how many octaves they can hit or how long they can hold a note. I saw a show a few weeks ago where there were ten people, they each had a mic and were all singing at once....I never understood a word. That did no good for God.

CHRISTIAN + METAL = NOT CHRISTIAN

God is HOLY, HOLY, HOLY.
"Here I stand, unahsamed
Call me a fool for this stand,
But I would die for that man
My king is alive!
My king is alive!"
~ My Confession by For Today

"It should have been me with the nails through my hands and feet facing the wrath of God"
~ Crown of Thorns by For Today

BOTH OF THESE SONGS ARE FROM A CHRISTIAN METAL BAND!
And you think what they're saying is not Christian?!

And apparently your not good at math because you said CHRISTIAN + METAL = NOT CHRISTIAN
Umm.. How would it not be Christian if it's got Christian in the name?

I really don't understand what Bible these supposed "Christians" have been reading, but the one I read (the one written by God himself) does not say that metal or punk is evil or blasphemy.. God does not hate metal or punk.. If he did he would say so

welcome to the forum surfer dude!

have a look at the music section of the forum, where abides a 100 page thread on Christian metal:

http://christianchat.com/christian-...av-christian-metal-industrial-band-album.html

have you ever heard of Elgibbor? a Christian artist who plays music in a the most brutal and raw black-metal style, but maybe 90% of all his lyrics are taken directly from scripture, word for word from the Psalms and the prophets. whenever anyone wants to argue with me about whether heavy metal music is inherently evil, i invite them to take a look at that guy. what better lyrics can there possibly be but to sing the scripture itself?

but we were talking about METAL...not music:)
Hmm is the electric guitar, bass, the drums, keyboard , human vocal cords etc. is the sounds those instruments produce bad?

If The lyrics, the wording, is a bad message then I would say YES Indeed but if the message the words, the lyrics are of good nature then by all means NO.
