Are you sure you are drawing angels? Can you worship God while banging your head. Satan can appear as an angel of light. Most metal stuff is inspired by demons. Most so called christian metal bands admit that they get their inspiration from secular metal groups. Those secular metal groups are inspired by demons, so the metal so called christian groups are inspired by them as well. Just because you change a lyric or two and insert the name of Jesus, does not change it origin. Can you lift your hands and weep to a metal song? Can you lift your hands and weep to Amazing Grace.
Yes, yes, you can. Also, you can be inspired by something and not agree with the original's beliefs. Sure, Satan comes as an angel of light but he doesn't proclaim God's Truth. Inserting the name Jesus into a song doesn't make a song Christian, the band member's personal faith and worldview does. Presentation doesn't matter (the musical genre), but God's message should remain the same. Some of you just don't understand.

Come on tell me folks. Most if not all secular songs are about sex, drugs, alcohol, clubbing, a girl or guy on the side, My booty, and money, The car I drive, Its a lambo. Why would you place yourself to here copy cats that blaspheme the name Jesus into their song. I am not a Jesus freak. I am a blood bought child of the most HIGH GOD. I am sane, those who go another route are freaks.

Take your own advice. Much of the mainstream Christian music could be Satan appearing as an angel of light. At least if it's metal, it's prolly not being hidden. Examine the content, not the sound. Sounds are not evil. People have utterly brainwashed themselves into ignorance. Modern mainstream Christian music sound JUST like worldly music and guess what? There are more people listening to that than metal. Tell me which of the two groups of people are more conformed to the world?

Yes i can, and have, worshiped God through Christian metal. I've been at Christian metal concerts and seen others doing it. Name a style of music not inspired by secular music at it's roots. According to your theory that the origins of a sound of music has anything to do with the spirit behind people playing it, well, i hope you discard hymns, as many hymns are just bar songs with rewritten lyrics. The only way to find music not essentially inspired by secular is to go to ancient times of religious music written. And even then who knows for sure. Yours is one of the many poorly founded arguments that likely you can't hold your own music up against. But i'm sure that when it comes to what you listen to there will be some difference in why it doesn't apply. I've been hearing these weak arguments for 25 years, and have yet to hear even One valid point, yet alone anyone prove anything.

There is a type of Christian music that imitates every single worldly genre out there, including the type you listen to I'm sure. What makes the mainstream "acceptable" Christian music any better or worse than the unpopular kind?

So you can worship God by banging your head. This is what those who worshipped Ashtoreth did. I guess it is okay to pass children through the fire of Molech. As long as the name Jesus is in it. Man maybe I should put on some led zepplin and cut myself. That what they did to Baal. Go ahead and bang your head.

Ridiculous. You don't think the spirit by which something is done constitutes whether something is Godly or ungodly, but that the physical head bobbing is the problem?

You have to ask yourself, how long has so called christian metal been around and the hundreds of years that the hymns have been around. They have stood the test of time. Just like the bible.

Another ridiculous argument. Metal in itself hasn't been around long because musical styles have evolves over the years. Christian metal is fairly new but that doesn't make it evil. You don't have a leg to stand on. The Bible stands the test of time because it's God's Word, not because it's old.

If iI could find one metal or pop so called christian song. That caused me to worship, like Amazing grace, it is well with my soul, how great thou art, heavens jubilee, just a little talk, Leaning on the everlasting arms., Oh I want to see Him, At the cross, shall I keep going. Contrast to Jesus freak, or J.C. 's in the house. Are you at Church or the club down the street. Come out from among them and be ye separate.

I'm sorry. I forgot that most you cannot lift your hands a church. Only at football games and concerts, my apology.

Kerry I have nothing against you but just because you do not agree with people on a subject doesn't mean you go off assuming you know us and the level of our faith. by the way I think you meant us not most of us right? because you probably don't know most of us.

No, most churches do not allow the lifting of hands. I'm just stating fact.

What exactly does that have to do with this discussion? also I have been to many churches and they were all able to lift of hands and I saw people do it.

We can twist the word of God around to make ourselves feel good. We can talk ourselves into doing evil things, because it makes u feel good and we can convince ourselves that nothing is wrong with it. If you truly believe that there is such a thing as Christian metal or Christian rock, then I'm sorry to say, but you are not truly a Christian. Have you truly asked yourself if that kind of music, music & words, would please God if HE were present today? Would you truly see Jesus at a concert with that kind of music? Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Only songs that praise the name of the Lord are true Christians songs, not songs about evil, sex, or anything else other than God. End of story. If your song does not have the words to praise the Lord, then forget it. If the beat is what gets you into a mood an overtakes you, and not the words of the song, then forget it. How many more evil things have to come to light in this world for Satan to turn it around and say they are Christian and Holy? Truly we are living in the last times, if you even think that these songs are Christian. Shame to all the Christians that listen to this rubbish.

Wow. Just wow. Drop the self-righteous bull, please. If you have a personal conviction against modern Christian music, fine but don't call those who don't damned. I can see Jesus hanging out at a concert. Also, not all modern music is about evil, sex etc. You clearly know jack about the subject.

The Bible tell us how to praise God, and metal music is NOT praising God, end of story. Don't be so judgemental yourself and stop condemning people yourself. You say I know nothing about the subject, but I can then say the same thing back to you, that you know nothing about the Bible and how to praise and worship God. I don't think you like that do you? I have a right to my opinion, and I just feel that there is not such thing as Christian metal, and I certainly do not think it praises God according to how He wants to be praised. And if you think you can see Jesus at a concert, then you are really far from the truth.
