For the record it is First Timothy not Corinthians Maggie, I believe you are talking about 1 Corinthians 11. Paul never said it was the culture or the women only at that one place. He said "Let the women learn in silence with all subjection." You will not find one verse with Hermenutics to prove that it was only for that church or place. Teaching and usurping authority is what he said not to do. He didn't say they had other problems. If the church still has problems with women teaching or usurping authority then it's the same problem. 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" We don't get to pick and choose what is written to those people and what is written to us.

It was the Timothy overseeing the Ephesians. Sad that you could not give that correction to me. Regardless, If a woman has her husband's blessings, and her pastor's blessings to teach, she can, by all means, teach!! And if she has a call of God to teach, she should teach. No man is ever forced to submit to any woman. But any man that refuses to LEARN spiritual principles and truth, regardless of who is doing the teaching, is simply a fool.

Even men on this site have told you that you are wrong. Are you SO full of pride that you cannot humble yourself and learn what obviously is Biblical truth even though it contrasts the deceptions you been fed? You sir, have sunk your own boat!

Ok correct me if i am wrong but isnt colossians chapter 3 talking about marriage???????

lets look at verse 16

16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

I do believe it is scriptual for a woman to TEACH as long as she is not showing dominion over the man

I could care less that people on this site disagree with me. And by the way I know Timothy was at Ephesus 1 Timothy 1:3. I really serve God and I know alot of people who agree with me. I don't know you or why you care to judge so much but God knows. If you don't like the prophecies they are always titled prophecy, so you don't have to read them. I'm not here to condemn anyone. If you don't agree you can put me on ignore.

Yet you tell Ananda she speaks blasphemy. What gives you authority to judge others?

Jonathan you are NOT a prophet! You don't even understand scripture! You are full...and I do mean FULL of pride and rebellion. Harsh words, yet true. Your words are N O T prohpecies. Many have told you this and you rebell against wisdom and knowledge of Him and His ways.
I do believe God has a call on your life, and evangelistic call. But before you can step into that call, you will have to humble yourself and learn from both the Bible and seasoned men AND WOMEN of God.
BTW...the prophets in the Bible were TAUGHT BY OTHER PROPHETS how to use the gift that God had given them and fullfill the call on their lives. Read the Books of Samuel.

I think you jumped ahead of the part talking about marriage. That is after the part you quoted. I don't believe the whole chapter is about marriage. The beggining is alot of Christology. Most of the begging of the chapter is teaching about Christ. You will notice the word 'Christ' is the most used word in the chapter not counting conjunctions like 'and' and such.

I see the Lord himself, sitting on the throne. I see the Lord God Jesus Christ. Who are you to judge me? I am a Prophet and yes that is what I claim. I am not a novice. I am not easily persuaded. I am not here to make you happy. I am not here to please men OR WOMEN. I am not here to be your enemy. I am not here to listen to people blasheme the Holy Spirit. I am not here to be judged by you. If you believe the prophecy you would be blessed. They are the words of Jesus himself through His prophet, which I am.

Go ahead and prove with scripture that prophecy has ceased, I am on the edge of my seat. Maybe you should start a new thread?

Re #209: Yep, total pride.

It takes a minimun of 15 years to qualify as a prophet. You are not even old enough to have submitted to other prophets in order to be taught for that length of time. You are a prophet because you say you are? Ok. I'm an apostle because I say I am. But no, that would be to tell a lie. I am a pastor and teacher. That is the truth. I can prove it. So other than the people on this thread, to whom do you prophesy? Prophesying to individual people does not make you a prophet. Reiterating God's word does not make you a prophet. SAYING that you are a prophet or even having your friends tell you that you are a prohpet, DOES NOT MAKE YOU A PROPHET....UNLESS ....you are a FALSE prophet. Because TRUE prophets, like I said before, have much better things to do than to glide around on websites such as this.

Funny thing about threads; they take on a life of their own.

Once we start a thread, it is not ours to control. Many times threads are hijacked by others for sometimes good purposes, and thee times nefarious purposes.

This has happened to threads I have started many times, as well as many other threads.

1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[b] 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Instructions for Christian Households

18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers,[c] do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. 22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 25 Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.

So this is not about marriage and family and the household?

Elizabeth, What we see and do; is also the image of a spiritual matter. What you have given witness to is also the image of the church being prepared for the wedding, and how great the wedding feast! (parable of water to wine)

The marriage of a man and a woman has purpose beyond the things we can see. Thank you for this witness which goes beyond the templet that speaks of greater things. In our sin nature we have seen and experienced that templet formed by God's hands, according to His will, and still there remains evidence in our lives as marriage being used by a selfish means.

You have given evidence of a need for a woman to be heard.

That does not sound like the words of a prophet it goes against the character of God completely. A prophet is meant to be 100%

True marriage is not the physical union of a male and a female. That is the image of the world.

Children of God please understand. How can God have no respect of persons and yet maintain that a female be submissive to a male? Is our God a hypocrite? When Paul talks of a women being submissive to a man, this is spiritual. The bible calls us all mankind. We are named Adam by God. Each of us is a union of the flesh and the spirit. This is true marriage and what the Almighty has joined together, let no man tear asunder. Women in this case represents earthly knowledge and wisdom. It is what came out of us being the man(kind) to be our helpmeet. She is to be submissive to us. Instead it is the other way around, as this system we birthed by these women now RULES us all.
