I believe it's suprising to see that so many people on Christian Chat are trying to teach. Do you realize that that is only one step away from a prophet? 1 Corinthians 12:28 "And God hath set some in the Church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers..." With all the talk about Apostles and Prophets I think we have overlooked the office of teacher, which is what most people on Christian Chat are trying to do.
1. Do you believe that there are real teachers who are third on Christian Chat?
2. Do you believe that people should try to teach as Christians?

I think anyone who is typing on these post is trying to teach. Giving there view is trying to teach. There not all anointed by God that's for sure. But some are thank God. Some are teachers for Satan and don't have a clue.

ummm teaching and being an anointed teacher of Christ and His Gospel are two totally different things.

anyways here are some scripture verses you should think upon.

Matthew 23
8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. 11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

to be accepted into the fellowship of the brethren of Christ is a blessing. to attempt to force your brethren into exalting you above what the Holy Spirit has testified in their hearts you are, is a sin.

I believe that if you teach you will be accountable to God for what you teach. God knows what goes on on these threads. If you teach you are accountable for the people you teach.

I totally agree with that. I would hate to be in the shoes of some of those in here

A few people do believe I am a prophet. Do you think you have the Holy Spirit more than they do? Why would the Spirit be saying I am not a prophet to you and not to them. They believe me.

But we are praying for them aren't we. For the blinders from hell to be taken off. And we are trusting God aren't we that they will be delivered. We are to pray for God to have mercy on them right.

If this is true God holds people who call them prophets even more accountable. You should be scared!

As for your post. Paul told everyone in the corinthian church they should be teaching others. But instead he has to give them milk because they are not mature enough to handle meat.

We all are called to be teachings in one form or another.

everyone should have something to add to this forum. To teach others. Unfortunately alot of time is spent debunking false teachers so that people coming in looking for truth are not swayed by false teachings :(

because you hold to false teachings. A prophet would not hold to false teachings. Even satans ministers and prophets have people believing in them. just because some may say you are does not make it so.

Brother I love you but you shouldn't be running around saying I am a prophet, I am a prophet. That is putting the focus on you and taking the focus off of God. There are lots of prophets here true to God and they are not proclaiming they are prophets, it is better to proclaim one is a servant of God and go serve someone, right.

I mean no offense but you need to talk to God about pride and being self righteous. Don't shoot the messenger.

What has held onto that is false?

Baptism of the HS and gifts which result from this.. which is a false use of what this baptism is. He orders believers to get something that has already happened to them. If one does not know this. They could not be from God. this is the basic teaching of the Gospel.

God does not only hold you accountable for what you TEACH but for EVERY word you Utter EVER on this forums, to people around you, under your breathe when no one is around.

this is not only for Teachers, but for christians and nonchristians alike:

Matthew 12:36-37
New King James Version (NKJV)
36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

God judges you according to your words. but by grace of God we are saved not by our words or by our actions but only by Jesus imputed righteousness.

I have never stated if you are a prophet or not, just pointed out that your words are not in line with God's Written words or they are vague and not directed at anyone in particular.

So you said Elizabeth will be baptized in the Holy Spirit in 2 days, if that doesn't happen what will you do?

Repent and ask for God's forgiveness or continue in self justification and delusions?

who tells you that you are a prophet?

if you wish I can tell you why they probably do.

People have told me I'm a prophetess but I count it as nothing.
the only One who can say such things is GOD and His justification is the only one I seek
which can not be obtained by my works but by my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

What do you seek Johnathon?

It is the Bible that says you are not a prophet not us, our words are nothing the word of God is everything.
