May Hell be a place or a state of mind, the bible teaches where our mind state should be. and that is to focus on Jesus Christ. So now, do you really want to know if Hell is a place or a state of mind? I rather be focus on the Lord, so that i never have to find out!

nothing else matters beside our Christ Jesus its true but we cant also be ignorant abt the truth that bible teaches of other things in Christ Jesus and wha he spoke and taught

I really don't see rather Hell being a place or a state of mind would have any effect on my view of my Lord's Truth. Truth is, i wouldn't want to be in either one. To say that a person is ignorant to the fact, is to say they are ignorant for not agreeing. Let us show through our Lords word what is true.

I truly understand if a person firmly believe hell to being a place. May it be a place in our mind or other wise. Let us weigh out our words. Satan resides in the world. And he could have people quarreling over this as being truth or not, in becoming quite boastful in believing someone else is ignorant for not agreeing.​

Hell is a real place. Problems start happening when people decide to start changing the word of God and start turning God into what they want to think.

Hell is real it is not just in the mind. God is a loving God but he is a just God. People are going to the real hell as we speak. Lots of people are pretending there is no hell so they can do what they please on this earth and they end up in the real hell.

amen,its good to know we are ok cuz we have faith in him and say we are safe with Jesus,but how many are dying every min wid out Jesus,going to hell,we might not grieve over it but spirt of God does cuz he not only loves us but them too

LOL....i could have googled the word Hell and came up with these same scriptures, in making a point.

The question wasn't if there was a Hell or not. Not to say hell isnt real. Point being I really don't see rather Hell being a place or a state of mind would have any effect on my view of my Lord's Truth.

All these scriptures you've posted, Jesus uses a figure of speech, and did not speak literally. Sadly, some have taken it so and have mutilated themselves in mistaken efforts in the pursuit of holiness. For example, the famous early Christian named Origen’s castrated himself on the principle of this passage. The trouble with a literal interpretation is that it does not go far enough! Even if you did cut off your hand or gouge out your eye, you could still sin with your other hand or eye. When all those are gone, you can especially sin with your mind.​

You quarreling over is hell a state of mind or not seems very weird to me. It is a real place and that is the truth. That's the point! So whats going on that you are arguing over the truth which is written? I have all authority over Satan in Jesus. Weren't you the one who started making light on it doesn't matter if hell is a real place?

Most of the verses weren't about cutting off hands. You just want to argue. Is there anything I can pray with about. I'm not here to argue with you. I hope all is OK with you!

I'm not here to argue also, sister. and if you read all of what i said in what the brother posted, I really don't see rather Hell being a place or a state of mind would have any effect on my view of my Lord's Truth. Truth is, i wouldn't want to be in either one. To say that a person is ignorant to the fact, is to say they are ignorant for not agreeing. Let us show through our Lords word what is true.

It was addressing something that was said about being ignorant. You came into this conversation with only seeing what i said as Hell being a place or a state of mind. The mind focus was to be placed on our Lord.

But never mind...lol ( having any effect on my view of my Lord's truth),

Interesting scripture, it speaks to condemnation, but from what I understand from these words it speaks as well to our needing to speak to this to another as well, lest the blood be required of thy hand.

I get where you're coming from. You'd rather focus on God and what God wants you to do and avoid Hell altogether no matter if it is a state of being or a place.

I think the importance of telling people that hell is a place is because if hell is only a state of being, then next question would be then what is Heaven? Do you believe in Heaven and the resurrection of the dead?

you see that is why it is so important for some to tell people hell is real and so is Heaven. for our hope is not in this life but in the next, in the age to come where we will see and know Jesus as He knows us.

:) Don't take your eyes off Jesus :) but sometimes hold your hand out to a struggling brother or sister as you follow that upward call. ;)
