It's a spirit of death. They (for there are many) are under Satan's rule, bringing, or attempting to bring death to humans. Depression is it's lower-classed cousin, working on a person to the point of (hopefully, in it's 'mind') getting the person to want to die. When the person gets to that point, the spirit of death comes in and kills. The spirit of death can also work without depression, especially in families where there have been past suicides or murders. That would be a familial spirit of death...a spirit of death that is attached to a FAMILY because of generational inquity.

Well, I know for a FACT fear is not of God..any kind, so , and this is my thinking....if you can invite spirits into your life, home, such as thru movies, television, radio....then you would most certainly be able to invite spirits in of different kinds, maybe even just in the company you keep. The only way I know to approach this CMW , would be by applying prayer and the blood of Jesus, it would take a mighty prayer warrior, dilligance and really gettin in touch with God on the behalf of the person your were tryin to help. Ill certainly keep you and the situation on my prayers, I know its heart breaking and can be tough on the families involved.

First forgive any ancestors for sins of murder and suicide. Confess it as sin and ask God to forgive them. REPENT for any thoughts of suicide that you have had. Confess that as sin, ask forgiveness, accept it. Ask God to FILL YOU with an overflowing of His love and desire for Life...His word tells us to choose life! Take the authority of Christ that you have because of Him in you and BREAK the generational curse of death upon your life and all your future generations. "I now break off all generational curses of death over me and my family and all my future generations. I cancel all assignments of death over my life from the kingdom of darkness in the name of Jesus. I speak LIFE over my life, righteous life in Jesus' name! I command all spirits of death and depression to leave me and my family and to go where Jesus sends you, now in the name of Jesus Christ."

A good book to read: Regions of Captivity" by Ana Mendez Ferrell.

That is an interesting possibuility. I have read and seen this kind of thing happen. A mass chemical imbalance is unlikely. But weather can play a role. Also it is common wthin jr. and high school students. No matter the cause all things are in the hands of Our Lord Jesus. I believe that prayer for healing and prayer for powerful protection are what we can do. So many things in this world are beyond our understanding, but God our father has all in his hands. Trusting in him is our greatest blessing. God bless, pickles

Question. I thought demons like to inhabit a person. It would seem that killing a person not in the best interest for a demon to do? They would prefer to keep them alive so they have a house to live in.

They can inhabit a person, but it doesn' mean it owns them.
It's ultimate accomplishment is to KILL the one thing (us) that God loves enough to die for.
Demons like to have friends live with them.
Mt 12: 45"Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation."
So when a person does die, any unclean spirits they may have had simply roam til they find another 'place'/person that has an open door to their soul and they move in.

From what I've learned as a Christian, suicide is tied to a spirit of heaviness. The spirit of heaviness would be considered a "principality" or the "strong man" referred to in Matthew 12:29. This principality rules over "powers" or other demonic spirits which attack people in the area of feelings, thoughts as well as the body. Some of these spirits include; suicide, sadness, grief, hopelessness, depression, rejection and despair just to name a few.

We should use God's word to intercede and war against these spirits for those we know that are having these attacks. In some cases a Christian may have to consult with a minister who is experienced in the area of deliverance. It can be difficult for anyone to know when suicidal thoughts cross a persons mind especially when they show no symptoms, and for many the signs might be quite obvious.

Judging by what you said, it sounds like your whole town is under attack and is need of corporate as well as individual prayer. I've included some bible verses for prayer and intercession to war against this spirit of heaviness.

1. Oil of Joy - Isa 61:3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning

2. The Garment of Praise - Isa 61:3 The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."

3. Dancing and Gladness - Psa 150:4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

4. Rejoicing in the Lord - Php 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

5. Singing Praises to the LORD - Psa 104:33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

6. Peace - Psa 4:8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. Psa 29:11 The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. Psa 55:18 He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me.

The spirit of heaviness cannot stay in the presence of the joy of the Lord, of praise to Jesus, or of rejoicing and thanksgiving to God.

Because the book of Job is one of your favorites, can you tell us if Job, with all that he went through and what was taken from him, got depressed and considered suicide or was it something else in (Job 3:1-11)? Verse (11) reads;

'Why died I not from the womb? Why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly'?

I am not asking this to hold you to your answer, but I do want to know what you think about it.

Hi BLC :)

I do not believe Job ever considered suicide. There is a difference to wishing you'd never been born ie that your life journey had never had a beginning, to ending the journey once it has begun..........

I draw this conclusion from Job's words in the following verse.......Job 13 verse 15, 'Though He slay me, YET will I trust Him.'........a person who trusts God fully, entrusts God with their life.......they no longer 'own' it if ya like....

Job therefore, allowed God to make the decision whether or not his life would continue.........

Job did NOT commit suicide:
Job 42:16-17 (New American Standard Bible)

16After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations. 17(A)And Job died, an old man and full of days.
And spirit of heaviness' is depression. Heaviness depresses, weighs DOWN; a person that is depressed is 'weighed down', heavy of heart.
