The parable is very easy.
5 represents the hand.
The hand represents WORK.
The Kingdom requires WORKERS.
Romans 16:12
Greet those workers in the Lord, Tryphaena and Tryphosa. Greet the beloved Persis, who has worked hard in the Lord.
Philippians 4:3
Yes, and I ask you also, my loyal companion, help these women, for they have struggled beside me in the work of the gospel, together with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.
Matthew 20 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 After agreeing with the laborers for the usual daily wage, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 When he went out about nine o’clock, he saw others standing idle in the marketplace; 4 and he said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.’
Matthew 9:37
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;
One hand does what it is supposed to. They plan to work for the Lord. They are practical and hard-working.
The other hand is impractical and lazy.
It is the same theme from the end of Chp 24 through to the ned of Chp 25.
All of the Church will receive its wages, the wages of righteousness, in due season:
1 Corinthians 3:8
The one who plants and the one who waters have a common purpose, and each will receive wages according to the labor of each.
